Trolls are depressing because they themsleves are depressed
everyone who doesn't like the game is a troll or a hater.. blah blah blah
Yea it's actually depressing that everysingle person who doesn't like this game or favor it over another game is either a hater and/or a troll even when they give good reasons with llogic, now yea it's true some indeed have invalid and illogical points but it's so weird how people do assume every naysayer is a troll or hater.
I might get banned for this. - Rizel Star.
I'm not afraid to tell trolls what they [need] to hear, even if that means for me to have an forced absence afterwards.
P2P LOGIC = If it's P2P it means longevity, overall better game, and THE BEST SUPPORT EVER!!!!!(Which has been rinsed and repeated about a thousand times)
Common Sense Logic = P2P logic is no better than F2P Logic.

Seriously,if you dont like ToR then i would recommend quiting the mmo gaming industry. This obviously is my point of view but i really think that for now this is the most complete mmo out there and if you find yourself not liking it than maybe its time for you to rethink the type of game you want, you`ll probably find out that mmos arent for you.
There are a lot of reasons to dislike TOR, but still like MMOs:
Lack of Racial Diversity (player Races and NPCs)
Poor UI and Lack of mods
Graphic Artisic Style
Too Easy
Too Linear - not enough Alternatives quest lines
Lack of Weapons Diversity (ie BH cannot use a Carbine instead of a pistol)
Dislike the acting quality of the VOs
Dislike of some animations
World life seems too static
Just to name a few.
Tor is a good game for some mmoplayers, but it certainly is not the best game for every MMO player (sandbox and Themepark).
Too easy how? that is very vague because outside of solo quests SWTOR is anything but too easy because no way you soloed heroic quests, heroic zones, flashpoints, operations, world bosses, chamipona nd elite bosses, FFA pvp zone and planet Illum.
Even craffting which seems simple gets really complex once you start reverse engineering blue and purples and mod your gear. it is not instant stuff like Rift, WOW, LOTRO etc. At higher levels it gets even more time consuming.
If i use similar logic and vague statement like 'too easy' every single MMO i have played is too easy as long as i stick to soloing and avoid harder content.
I agree with OP. I do miss sand box games they made me feel like I was in a cyber world or living online world. SWTOR doesnt have day and night cycles which is a downer. The game is badass though and I am enjoying playing a MMO again because I havnt been playing for a while now.

Most complete? Your joking right. All they did was make it big and obviously that is enough for people to accept pure mediocrity. I really should e-mail Trion and tell them next time they make a city just make it 20 times bigger then it needs to be just so people can say the game has content.
I participated in the Beta, and thanks to Early Game Access, have been playing the full game since the 13th for a couple of hours each night. I've been working on two characters, one Republic and one Imperial, and it's interesting to see the similarities between the two and yet still marvel at how much content is different for them.
Everything I've experienced to date in-game has convinced me to subscribe for the long run, something no other MMO has ever done. In my opinion, The Old Republic is a very enjoyable game so far and I intend to explore it to the best of my ability.

What people? are you lumping everyone together who doesn't share your view points? SWTOR is anythign but mediocre and i am not going to make you feel bad for liking something as mediocre as Rift... a game is a game. If you enjoy it you play or otherwise move on. What is with back handed insults? hard to make a point without generalising in every single post? yes big world is a plus but one has to be really really biased to say that SWTOR doesn't have content because not once i have run out of things to do.

How can anything constructive come of this post? Why aren't posts like this locked?
Because there are people that don't want to play SWTOR, they have no clue about what they like and should quit mmo's altogether? This statement has zero logic to it at all, and is clearly just going to create an 'angry' thread.

What? You're not from America? You're unamerican too!
Joking aside, TOR is a great game to me. However, I don't think it is the "second coming" of MMOs or that it has revolutionized the genre. It provides a wonderful story-driven single-player experience, and some of the most storyline-driven dungeons I've ever played, are both extremely enjoyable to me. These same features may not be appealing to everyone, especially in an MMO-format.

I cant see how is this the most complete mmorpg out there, how do you explain this ?
I actually LIKE themeparks, but SW:TOR is highly sub-par as far as implementation goes. It has nothing to do with the genre of the game or type of MMO. It's just not a very well done game / not a game done in a way that I'd like, for various reasons.

If you don't like this game.... Don't play it.
No one will think any less of you... if someone does, tell them to buy it for you and pay for your subscription.
Same goes for any other game you don't like.
Every single poster in this thread has a different opinion and a different reason why they do or do not like this or any other game.
Respect that they have an opinion and then form your own.
After all, it's your time and money.

At this point you have a few choices on for good mmo's
WoW - 7 years old
Rift - almost 1 year old ?
SWTOR - 3 days old
all 3 are good enough in terms of worth paying a sub for.
If these aint good enough for mmo players then they need to stop playing mmo's and play something totaly diffrent.
Soon you can add GW2 and Archage on the list then we have 5 very good mmo's to play and it maybe in 4 years Blizzards new mmo Titan.
Why whine about SWTOR that it sucks ? dont like it ? move on and look for something what suits you.
Only thing the community's does nowdays is spitting fire on good products -_-
I got news for those fire spitters, this is as good as it gets for a loooong time.
+1 This thread needs to be locked.
My theme song.
Not liking TOR is unamerican!
