Really? I was around for the launch of Rift and I dont seem to remember a large bug fix patch a week after launch. I know there was one, but I'm pretty sure took longer than a week and definitly wasnt bigger than this list. Though, to be fair, Rift had far less tech issues than SWTOR seems to have at launch. Rift had its fair share but it seems SWTOR has a TON of little things. Not gamebreaking things (it seems) but lots and lots of little things.

Hiya I figured someone would go there so I made this for you!

YOu have a link to trions very first patch notes?

2 days after christmas, back to work, but lets completely ignore that fact.

A good point however who decided to launch the game on a December, 20th?

I am a sceptical old goat but Trion blew me away with how pro they where in a couple of areas. The core dev team was one of them. BW aren't bad at all but I think Trion raised the bar.

Oh and none of these 6 hour maintenance jobs, youd go and eat and the servers would be back up when you returned.

SWTOR has issues, but I dont think there are as many ones that needed immediate attention.

But i dont get why people like Puremallace are making this rift vs. SWTOR.  I guess its more exciting to trash another game than to play Rift.

Well that is simple and no it is not me blind hating on SWTOR. I am looking for the same speed of bug fixing from Bioware as I got from Trion. I have yet to see it.

They did what I thought they would do.They released the game then went on Christmas break. Also I was calling out the guy who called out Rift for "being slow"

That is what i said..SWTOR have issues but not to the extent of fixes Rift needed. But i still find this comparison hilarious as if using amount of bug fixes is supposed to make Rift look good or something? ;p

And if you really want to get hung up on launch issues,

Rift: security flaw that customers, not Trion, figured out how to fix

SWTOR: no reports of missing credits and items

Are you goddamn serious ? PvP right now is unplayable because of ...

Slow UI, clunky combat, animation bugs, FPS drop issues in warzones, bad camera and I think I missed here and there something. Yep its not really that important ....

Certainly not trashing BW. I mentioned I thought they (patch notes) where a bit underwhelming compared to say Trion. Some one else said I played Rift launch and don't remember there being that much more done but may well be mistaken. I said I thougt there was a lot done, Puremalice provided some links.

Not trashing BW just reminissing. I was staggered about how quickly Trion cranked stuff out at how well it worked all things concidered. wouldn't even be here if the servers where up.

I dunno I guess some people are just terribly insecure about their precious game. It's a decent game OK? I don't hate it OK?

lol I just said they did fast patches. Never claimed they were perfect. That is one of the big reasons I am not touching this in the first month because I was there with Rift in the first month

The fps issue is the biggest problem imo because this makes the game unplayable for a lot of people. They really need to fix this ASAP.

LoL, or is maybe because swtor doesnt have a huge list of bugs and problems to be fixed?. A smaller patch notes is actually something good. This isnt a content patch after all, thats coming early next month.

I guess I just never really pay a lot of attention to these things.  I just know the issues my guildies and I are having (both very few in both games) and things seem to be getting fixed.  A first week patch during christmas, its not a bad list.

The real key is 2-3 months out anyway.  Im more interested to see when they make UI more customizable and add in more guild features.

Where's the fix for ability animations pausing and not going off yet still costing focus? It's been here since beta and should be the #1 priority. I'm not sure if this is a server sync issue or what but it makes for horrible melee PVP.

Look at the 1.1 main patch it is 5+ pages in a fairly small font on my browser with a metric crap ton of stuff. As I said it takes a lot to impress me nowadays (the only thing wors than a youngster that has seen it all and done it all is an old guy that has :)) and Trions productivity was pretty damned impressive.

Its a list :):). Of course they are not going to be in crunch mode over christmas but they have had what close to 2 weeks from early start to the Xmas holidays?

It is what is. I'm having fun but can certainly see a few areas that could do with some urgent attention. I also have a nagging suspicion that increasing server caps has had adverse effects on some of the stuff people are complaining about. That will probablly improve as populations settle down.

Im not disputing that they didnt do a good job.   Its just silly to compare this sort of thing.  its a marathon, not a sprint.  Bioware released a game that was obviously ready to launch and certainly took some time to enjoy the holiday (as the Rift staff has been doing too, theyve been very quiet and seem to be enjoying a well earned rest).

PVP change is complete garbage.  So, you got stuck with a bunch of level 10's vs level 50's?  Guess what?  Your bad day isn't over, because Bioware hates you.  Badly.

Hmmm...I have the same susspicion.  I feel like i'm getting IN the game faster (less queues), but when I'm in the game I'm getting some server latency.
