It is such a black and white to way look at things. Hater or lovers..is that it?

I just find it odd that people hang out on a board for a game that they dislike.  If I dislike a game, I simply put it out of sight and out of mind.   I don't get the mentality of the hater.  To me, if a game sucks, it's beneath me and doesn't deserve my time and effort whether in forums or the game itself.

I think this is more about politics (the gaming version)  than a genuine dislike.

I find it odd that people claiming that swtor such a great game spend more time on here trying to convince others instead of actually playing what they have paid for.You have waited six years, yet you are here trying to defend any negative thread or post of swtor.I dont get the mentality of the fanboy. To me if the game is that good i wouldn't even be on the forums i would be waving my lightsaber into some mobs face.Having played GW2 twice in the last two years at gamescom i know for a fact that you wont catch me on these forums or any other forums except my guilds. It wont matter what people say because ill never read it,ill be having to much fun in the game.Seems like some people are bored already and would rather play the crusading defender role.

People don't play 24/7. For example i am sitting in my office back at work on first day of new year and things are damn slow. People can play and psot on forums in the same day, nothing illogical about it.

You do realise that each poster has a seperate character that might not fit under ONE label?.. in fact that's the rule for everything in life. That's why we shouldn't generalize... though I do realize it's easier that way (hey I do it).

I don't consider myself a hater and I often post on the topic of SWTOR since I see a lot of misguiding from fanboys and haters a like. The game is good for a certain kind of player.. and that's fine... I've accepted that.

Personaly I  was following the game for years.. and was my single bigest MMO dissapointment when I actualy got to play it... so I guess I would fall under the genuine dislike category.

That's just one of the examples for a character of a poster who doesn't like the game. I'm sure there's plenty of others.

    ..Cake..

Yeah and these are open forums and members can post in any section they like.I will say that people who have not played the game are less qualified to form an opinion. It seems to me that the die hards can't handle anything bad said about the game even if it comes from someone who has played the game.

Your original post is no more helpful ( and your repsonses ) than the hater threads...

Love to see your review of tor and what you like and what you don't rather than posting yet another thread declaring some vidtoring in the virtual world of MMO competition...

I am not trying to flame here at all, just saying what you are doing is purposely stirring the pot with really useless information rather than trying to inform poeple...

Then you complain about the response you are getting ? what is your goal ? I mean seriously help me understand ? Are you trying to win forum wars ?

These forums should help us all as consumers, your thread is not helping just like the hater ones are not... its all the same ... if you support TOR, do more to talk about the great stuff it has... rather than declare a line in the sand it does the same thing as the TOR sucks threads.

Sorry, not trying to flame at all just saying, this is not helping..

I only can't handle misinformation and assumptions and personal tastes being passed as facts. Other than that i could care less if someones likes or dislikes the game. Once i am off work i would be playing again so hardly matters to me if someone is hating on the game. But i do like to correct mis information and set the record straight when people try to spread lies to push their agenda.

Uh.. I don't know about you, but I've pretty much outgrown the days of 8+ hours (on a weekday) of playing a game.   I'm more of a casual player.  I only pop in here every now and again to see the same old hater crap copy & pasted from the previous thousands of similar posts.  It's like they think they can make it true the more times they repeate it.

I work as well but if the post bothers you that much, why read them.Is it because you can't handle anything negative said about your game.No matter how fare or contructive the thread is you quickly run to counter it or start waving the hater stick around.Their have been plenty of fare reviews but even they are deemed as just hater threads.Save yourself the pain and ignore the negative threads and just read the threads that say nothing is wrong with swtor.

Come on man practise what you preach. You act same way when someone says anything negative about GW2, don't be a hypocrite. I would take your speech more seriously if you actually implemented it on yourself first.

Also, i would like to see these examples of constructive threads because i havden't found one in a very long time.

How about you write an review of swtor and then we can read it and form our own opinions.I have played the game up to mid level in beta so i think i am in a position to add my thoughts to your review. Looking forward to reading it.

ah see you figured that out, at last. Now if only most of you did... I bet you loved to cling on that common sense statement "just move on blabla", too tempting uh.

You just took a step into a larger world, that of reasoning.

Tor has to be hated because it's a plague to MMO. it's not possible to put it out of sight and move on, simply because if TOR prospers, there will be NOTHING to move on to.  We hate because we can't be selfish and get back to "better games" because TOR kills them before they are born, we hate, i repeat, because we consider MMO genre health, not our selfish amusement.

You are naive, to say the least. So you think that if  investors (not gamers, mind you, people out to make money) see a 80 mil $ game flop they will somehow consider this an incentive to try and put out money to risk (yeah, that's the word, risk) it with a new formula (that gamers might not even like)?

Actually, a believe that if SwTor flops the MMO market might scare off investors, and then who'll make your dreamy MMO? Some profit-free gamer benefit organisation?

And show me where i called anyone hater for diliking SWTOR? i made my point very clear in earlier post which you obviously ignored because it doesn't support your agenda but i will repeat again. I could care less if you dislike the game but i will always speak up when people try to pass their personal taste as a fact or try to spread mis information about SWTOR.

And no you can not handle any negative about GW2 either and that is the point i was trying to make. Only because you don't call people names doesn't mean you are all smiles when someone finds anything negative about GW2.

Rubbish lol.If swtor flops you will still have plenty of companys willing to invest in MMOs.Why you ask, well that game called WOW which still has millions of people playing it.SWTOR will just go down as another attempt to bring some of that magic that blizzard has but ended up as one if the worst attempts.

You forgot to mention the fanboys gathering to defend TOR on negative topics.

Everything popular has haters and lovers that voice their opinion. It's called free speeeeeech.

I think this is more about politics (the gaming version)  than a genuine dislike.

ah see you figured that out, at last. Now if only most of you did... I bet you loved to cling on that common sense statement "just move on blabla", too tempting uh.

You just took a step into a larger world, that of reasoning.

    maybe!

Complete destruction is better than the rule of Evil, and EA and everything behind TOR is. If the genre dies, it'll be reborn as better, few houses will try again to think virtuality with fresh minds, as they did back in the early 00's.(those times of frontier pioneering, which is when MMORPG.com opened)

TOR is the mentality of casual mind-numbing braincell-killing pastime, the renounciation of virtuality as a means to learn something about, i dunno, socialism, history, politics, economy, about how life really could have been in middle ages, or in the middle of space in a space travel (sci-fi meets nasa sort of thing) simulation which would be so cool, a means, mind you, to learn something that you never would experience in real life(while remembering that R/L is more awesome ofc! )... all this instead of, just, casual mild entertainment that leads you nowhere. It's more than moral to fight TOR.

And their have been plenty of contructive negative threads but people like yourself cant handle them.Ill hang here while you find those post of me calling people haters or calling people trolls for having an opinion.

How do you know what i am doing behind my PC screen when posting about GW2 or SWTOR lol.

You are basing your argument on what you think not fact. image

Ever heard about this thing called 'figure of speech'? i don't actually mean that you are smiling means that you aren't happy and dislike that people say negative things about GW2. SWTOR fans have as much right to defend their games as much as you do when it comes to GW2.

Again, you are assuming that i dislike negative things said about GW2 unlike you with swtor. If someone says something negative about GW2 and it's a fair point i really don't have a problem,no mmo is perfect. But unlike you, i can take contructive negative posts/threads about GW2 but you obviouly can't about swtor.

Instead of making yourself the swtor crusader who needs to save the day,why don't you write a review and tell us why you think it's such a great game,i don't think you can because you cant handle the negative.

But let's get back on topic and if you want to disguss further with me then send me a PM,i will have no problem answering any of your concerns.

posting history is a great tool and never lies. I make a habit of checking it before i start a conversation with any individual on these forums. As far as my review is concerned the moment i hit 50 i would surely share my experince since i don't believe in half assed and rushed reviews just for the sake of it.
