The OP talks about more of the same post 30.. out of "playing" 3 characters to the 30s... so basically, they haven't played any of the content they are talking about.
My personal opinion... Acts 2 and 3 are much better storylines then act 1. Worlds get much more open and varied, and different quests present themselves at the higher levels, not to mention there are better flahspoints, and so on.
Its like saying "I played Mass effect until I got all of my crew, and then realized its more of the same" . Everything is more of the same in every game ever.
If you played all the way through borderlands, get to the end and complete it, then notice theres DLC.. guess what.. that DLC isn't going to be a flight simulator, its just more of the same borderlands gameplay.
New content coming to your favorite MMO? Chances are its going to be more of the same quests just in different areas, or new characters with different looks using skills that do the same thins.
However you want to slice it, gaming is repetitive, MMOs more than most. Maybe its time to try a different hobby.
SWTOR doesnt have endgame, pretty much every aspect of the game is open to you by lvl25...you'll already have killed every type of rodian, sandperson and droid there is.
I wish there was more warfronts just for levels 40-50, larger flashpoints with unique enemies and larger than normal flashpoints...right now only end game amusement is raping lvl10's in warfronts because the buff thats supposed to even the odds is a joke. or then try raid the four flashpoints which are all broken.
I cancelled my account too. A beta weekend isn't enough time to judge the game. I initially thought that the world pvp would be good in this game, since so many people were interested in playing it. I didn't realize how badly it was instanced. The story is good but having to kill 10 wolves between the cutscenes is a real immersion breaker. I can't stand these quest based mmorpg's and i don't want to give up on being a gamer as some have suggested to the OP in this thread.
I'd really prefer that mmorpg developers focus on fun things to do in mmorpg's rather than quest grinding. You can put a bunch of makeup and a dress on a walrus, but it will still always be a walrus. Going back to EVE until someone figures out a better mmorpg.

Seriously, just grow up already. Next time dont buy anything, just wait and see what it is first
PS: It's precisely after act 1 that the game starts being really good and the storys become really interesting, but it also gets harder, maybe there is where the problem resides...

Well it appears you were quick to an opinion on the OP and his thread !
Adults have opinions and tend to express them! I would think he would have the right to express it considering he plucked down some serious cash for the game.
Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...
Am I the only one who think that leveling 3 classes to level 35 if you really listened to the quests.. I would be burned too . It's a lot of playtime in a short timelapse... Anygame would burn me if i would have played so much in soo few time
That was my thought on the matter too although I gathered he was bored with the first one and that was why he made the alt. Know that would burn me out probably even more so in this game because of how it is designed. Then again I've never really been an altoholic.
1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.
2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.
3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose.
I enjoyed the game all the way up till end of Act 1, then I realised I already had done it all and only things I had to expect from the game was more of the same.
I got ship, I got speeder, i got crafting skills where i wanted them, i had done flashpoints and warzones and story quests...then i thought...what more would there be for me? ...same warfronts, more identical flashpoints, more identical looking gear, more "kill XX of XXX" quests with ridiculously long prologues.
I played three classes to lvl 30-35 and then lost interest in playing them, when I wondered why that was, it was because past lvl 30 the game simply runs out of carrots to keep you going.
This game isn't bad, it's just unfinished. They've spent all the fireworks on first half of the game and second half just feels unfinished and unsatisfying.
I'm going to wait 6 months to see how the game has matured, I wish they'll make the endgame as amazing as start of the game is so it'll encourage me to return.
So long and thanks for all the fish On the serious - side, everything isn't for everybody. I think tor republic is lots of fun. BTW- at lvl 35, you are not at end-game yet so I dont see how you can comment on it. My highest is 15, lol, so I will refrain from giving an opinion of end-game yet At any rate, go play what you enmjoy and have fun.

This has been my problem. I can't even make it to act 2, because I've been burning out around level 30. Course, I'm not exactly a big fan of the game, but I've trying to enjoy what I can of it, before my month is up. Thought I'd get at least one character near endgame anyhow, but that's not looking likely.
When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world.

After speaking to numerous lvl50s about how the endgame is, it's better to wait for an expansion rather than rush to 50...in game like SWTOR where it's extremely easy to level to max it's inevitable that people run out of things to do.

I agree, I wish him luck in whatever game he goes to play, although I doubt we will see the end of his comments on these forums if his coments in this thread alone are any indication.

He started the thread saying he didnt get past 30-35 and mid way through this thread is commenting on how level 40-50 content is. I'll bet we see many MANY more threads from him here gracing us with his wisdom.
(DISCLAIMER - The use of the word YOU in the above post is not directed at any one person in particular, but towards those who fall into the category itself - there is no personal attack here, neither intentional nor implied.)
The story is amazing, the rest of the game is just standard themepark model. My honeymoon with the game and rose colored classes fell off when the storyline quests started to get few and far between.
Wait, so the reason you lost interest is because you ran out of carrots to lead you around? When you had to play the game instead of being led around by the leash? Amazing. Thats almost as good as the other thread today where people are complaining that there is TOO much leveling content in this game, which they blew past to reach cap, and are now complaining there isn't enough content. You guys are just amazing!
Are you even trying to understand what people are saying, or are you actually trying not to?
"The story is amazing," - liked the story
"the rest of the game is just standard themepark model." - has a preconception about the game, unable to see past that
"Honeymoon with the game and rose colored classes" - believes he was dilusional with his earlier (pre launch) hyope of what he EXPECTED the game to be - for those that are confused there, he thought that game was going to be something that it wasn't really going to be and then got mad when he realized HE was wrong all that time.
"fell off when the storyline quests started to get few and far between" - lost interest because he ran out of direction, stopped being motivated by the story he liked (see above) and no longer had anythign else in the game which would lead him to continue to play.
Now, did I read that right or did I miss any of the points there. Please smartass, enlighten me with your fuckin wisdom.
The story is great, but when you start to need to "kill ten rats" over and over for hours just to see how the story continues, it becomes tedious...it's like going to watch awesome movie just for the staff halt the movie after first twenty minutes and telling them they are to play pattycakes with the person next to them for an hour before they're allowed to see next twenty minutes of the movie just to be halted again to play pattycakes for 2 hours so you'll be allowed to watch next 10 minutes of the movie.

Did you play with real life friends? Did you make any new friends? Did you get in a great guild and stand around socializing with em? Did you engage in crafting and make stuff for your new guild members just to welcome them to the game? MMO's are not about simply lvln your "toon" as fast as humanly possible. It's not just about me, Me, ME! If you want to be a hermit and not create your own fun things to do and interact with others, perhaps people should stick with single players were there is a defenite need and purpose to "beating" the game. If I had to feel like I MUST hit lvl cap asap I would be so pissed off all the time people I know in game and even out of game would hate me as bad as I would hate myself. SW-TOR is a new game and stillin it's infancy. I for one will be taking my time and experiencing the ongoing development of this marvelous new MMO. In 6 months I still won't have a max lvl character and will still be having a blast!

in a month? not in cap lvl? in one weekend I hit lvl 30 and not i was not rushing, i'm a quest whore, I do all quest I come across even that side ones, and that heroics +2 I could do it alone with my sentinel, and most of heroics +4 I could pass with someone else with a healing pet, or him healing(yeah its called companion but is for me a pet with a diferently name)
no chalenge, generic quests, storys somewhere good some ok, but if you played most of bioware games will will notice smae names from they other games on it, it to me shows more lach of new ideas then easter eggs. pvp also who is the main thing they should sell is not good, just rush and spam skills with global cds, save for 2 or 3.

You make a great point. A lot of players are unsatisfied but do not offer what might help out. . they want varied gameplay maybe. MMOs are more of the same generally. . unless you mean raiding which is the ultimate "more of the same" in my books. If they offered something really different as they went along people might hate that as well and say that they screwed up the game (see vanilla WoW lovers)
I don't get it, Kishe was a big fan of this game, he got bored with it, he cancelled. Now some of you feel the need to tell him myabe he is burned out, maybe this was not the game for him, maybe he should have played with friends, maybe he should have played it this way or that way....
...did you ever think that just maybe the game itself is the culprit? Why do you find the need to come down on the OP? He made a statement as to why he was feeling the way he was. He needs the game to offer him more than what it does. As he stated he needs that carrot on the stick to justify continuing to play. Some players do need this. They need to feel there is something worth going for that will make all the questing and playing whack-the-mole worth it.
Instead of saying this is the OP's fault, maybe it isn't, maybe it really is the game.
BTW - his will not be the last "I cancelled" thread we will see from people that once thought this game was a good or great game. His certainly wasn't the first. Will you come to every post made by someone that is cancelling, and instead of discussing why they cancelled, discuss the OP and tell him he must have been playing the game wrong or he is burned out?

But he posted his thoughts on a public forum. . which suggests he wants feedback or to let others know. I think the responses for the most part are fair.

CURSES! Why didn't I think of that first.

Haters hate on the "haters" that leave is common.
I might get banned for this. - Rizel Star.
I'm not afraid to tell trolls what they [need] to hear, even if that means for me to have an forced absence afterwards.
P2P LOGIC = If it's P2P it means longevity, overall better game, and THE BEST SUPPORT EVER!!!!!(Which has been rinsed and repeated about a thousand times)
Common Sense Logic = P2P logic is no better than F2P Logic.
Thanks for sharing. Too bad you left when the class storyline really starts to pick up.
