According to Ohlen, the entire SWTOR team is still working flat-out on content for the released game. Next week’s update is just one of many they’re currently working on, with another much larger patch planned for March. It will contain part two of Rise Of The Rakghouls, and an entire new planet containing an operation and warzone, as well as “the second half of the Legacy System, which is the real meat of it.

Old news and content that may or may not arrive in March won't be enough to keep those who are unsubbing through February. In another articles they talked up guild features being added in 1.2 such as, wait for it... guild banks. I've already re-subbed but they really need to pull their fingers out and get the standard MMO features in to the game before talking up new content.
I agree Kab. Lets just hope they stick to there word and maybe this will turn out to be the game most have been waiting for.
People were moaning about content just being warzones and dull operations..
..so i don't think adding a warzone and an operation will help.
A new planet, be interesting to see if level cap gets raised :O
Ah here we have the miracle patch. Now everything is in order.
An honest review of SW:TOR 6/10 (Danny Wojcicki)
i'm really on the fence, I mean they patch all the time but they break a lot of the stuff they fix, and then they patch to try to fix that and break other stuff...
I'm just really hoping we see a real big change with Marchs update...
I unsubbed few minutes ago, and frankly I don't care about more content.
The game is just another WoW clone and doesn't feel like a MMORPG, but more like Kotor Online (Multiplayer)
Not worth $ 15
Back to Skyrim
lol. so true.
Every MMO has this so called "miracle patch".
Patches and Updates are useless unless they implement standard MMO features, which SWTOR lacks greatly.
If they had a dungeon finder I likely would have subscribed this month. If I pay a subscription I expect to be able to find groups no matter where I am. I like to be able to run dailies and port to instances when a group is found. That's what I personally expect, otherwise there needs to be something else to entice me to play. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a $300 million WOW clone to at least get that right.
I seriously don't think that a planned patch that might take place over a month from now will hold the fence-sitters. If I were on the fence, which I'm not, I would unsub and save the 15-30 dollars and wait to see what the actual patch had.
I want a mmorpg where people have gone through misery, have gone through school stuff and actually have had sex even. -sagil
I really have no idea why people go into ANY new MMO and expect a fully fleshed out endgame.
QFT.
Atleast some people who have been around this site for afew years can see exactly what's going on with this game now, since it's all happend several times before with various other MMO's when they released!
/who is there for lfg stop looking for stuff that is already in the game ,ask your friend to use it gees!you want bio to autojoin the group ?why?people dont use the darn thing start using it then they might consider optimisation, they wont touch what is not being used anyway lol they got stuff being used that need work first
I've already unsubbed and uninstalled, so this patch means nothing. The only thing that will get me back there is a more realistic world (or series of worlds, in this case). When I see a youtube video of those people outside the Jedi Temple actually moving around and practicing with the Padawans instead of just standing in suspended animation, then I might consider signing up again. There's an even bigger chance of that happening if day and night cycles appear, random creatures flutter about, ambient sounds are added, and weather effects take place.
As is stands, SWTOR just lacks soul at the moment, it's all so artificial I can't stand wandering the environments. If I'm supposed to spend so much time travelling around these worlds, fighting mobs and clicking glowing things, at least make the worlds worth travelling through.
MMORPG companies always make this promise after launching a game with not enough and/or unfinished content. I've yet to see such a promise even remotely live up to itself.
So you're saying that WoW doesn't feel like an MMORPG?
Really?
http://beta.xfire.com/games/swtor
I know it's xfire and stuff but it seems that the 1.1 fiasco didn't help.... that and subs ending.
..Cake..
All new MMORPG's take a little while to mature.
3-4 months it seems to be.
Fail during that time, people will be forever lost - AoC, Aion, WAR, FFXIV, etc.
Pull off some impressive things early on, people will stick around - Rift, WoW
Which camp will TOR fall into?
I'll tell you in another 2-3 months lol
I say if they want to unsub then they should unsub now. The game is what it is and no patch is going to change that. If you like what you are playing then stay because Bioware will expand on what is here. If you don't like it, then leave because the basic game design will not change. This will always be KOTOR online.
Currently Playing: World of Warcraft
I agree to some point, WoW doesn't feel like what a true Massively Multiplayer should be. Not saying which or if any game out there is a true MMORPG, or if it will ever exist.
Anyway, a lot of people expect MMORPGs to be like WoW, and that's how we got most of Swtor
It's so brain-washed in our collective minds, that new games are always asked about "raids", "battlegrounds", or any other different name for the same small/medium group activities.
I say, if that's what MMORPGs are about, I prefer to play cooperative and competitive multiplayer games that do a good job at them.
Thats cool and all but I dont see a reason to stick around in Febuary doing nothing for content that may or may not be released in March...
"I will gladly pay you on tuesday for a hamburger today"
"Don't mistake a fun game for a good game... Checkers is fun to play but its not exactly the highest point of gaming design... and definatly not worth $60 plus $15 a month"
Wow... that graph is dropping harder than the dirtiest of dirty dubstep
"Don't mistake a fun game for a good game... Checkers is fun to play but its not exactly the highest point of gaming design... and definatly not worth $60 plus $15 a month"
50% of people who use xfire.
Maybe the downtime from maintenance, patch, and emegency patch is playing a factor?
Also end of free month it is expected some % of people will unsub.
Xfire stats are about as useful as the garbage I just made up.
Dubstep is music? Here I thought it was just noise...
It is just noise...... but so are farts and they are still entertaining.
No one really takes Xfire seriouslly... but it is funny to see that graph dropping so quickly.
This game.... its like wathcing a car accident happen right in front of you... you just can't look away...

Content was NEVER the problem for me.
I just simply don't enjoy many of the design decisions they went with. Personally, I think there's a heck of a lot of content, for a themepark game.
BOYCOTTING EA / ORIGIN going forward.
Well put friend, well put.
I am still enjoying TOR (some what) and still playing, but I definitely feel like-
Thought I was buying a Mercedes - turns out it was a Chrysler - still nice, but not quite what I was hoping for.
Then now stuck in that "oh my God" moment right BEFORE a potential car crash - when you have a few moments to decide "do I swerve left or right?"
One path leads to no car crash, continued prosperity and safety and hey, maybe one day I'll get that Mercedes.
Other path leads to ruin and looking to buy a new car again.
Yay MMO-car analogies!
