Its the RPers...
That bitch, about, everything...
Don't get me wrong, its not JUST the RPers(or, pvpers in wow) its everyone. But largely its the RPers. It becomes more and more obvious as patch notes are updated or as they just announce new things. Everything bioware releases is getting constantly scrutenized by RPers who bitch "Oh but the LORE goes this way" or "Canon says THIS"
Frankly, it annoys me. - Yea, this is bitching about bitching, original right? But, while it doesn't need to be said, I feel it should.

Bioware could care less about lore, the class design, huttball and the gear treadmill (Kill Revan and loot his pants!1!) made that clear a long time ago."Esport with tournaments is for hardcore pvp'rs that want to be competitive. Openworld PVP with ganking and griefing is for casuals that just wants their pvp mixed with pve from time to time."

Honestly if you play an MMO from an IP like star wars or even Lord of the Rings expect them to stretch the lore or just out right ignore it. This is about making money simple as that and George has proved thats all he cares about.
Well, don't get me wrong I'm not saying all lore should be thrown out the window. But if lore gets in the way of things that make the game better and more diverse, take an axe to it. If its ruining lore for ruining lores sake, it shouldn't be. But really, bitching about pure blood jedi? who cares about the lore when it lets you play as whatever class and race YOU WANT..

I've always been a player in favor of options. The more options the better, be they purely aesthetic or not, and frankly I find bitching about something that gives players more options to be asinine.
Not to mention the fact this change doesn't even really effect gameplay.

1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.
2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.
3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose.
More or less my opinion....All throughout beta and release people were bitching about not enough player options. They finally give us more and people bitch about "oh no the lore is broken and it hurts my butthole"
No, this isn't exactly what players wanted when they asked for more options - namely they were asking for more verity between the races as a whole and not just humans with X(IE, green skin, horns, computer parts glued on, ect) and while I'm also for that as well, since races offer no bonuses like in say world of warcraft I see no reason not to let you pick what you want to play as.
But, then again, everyone will always stereotype other players for their choices and condemn them for not making the "right" choice...Blood elf death knights and night elf hunters...Proving that it doesn't matter how good of a player you are if you pick the "wrong" combination everyone will still belittle you.

And in SWG they had flying ewoks with wings, in Skyrim people add my little pony tents and bedrolls, why? Because they don't give a damn about lore and only care about having fun. There's no reason to take a game which isn't even considered official canon so seriously.
If people want a hardcore to the bones Star Wars RPG, pick up the FO geck and make it. Hell I'll help..

Didn't SWG - the star wars MMO everyone was saying is soooooooo much ebtter then SWTOR - Also have millions of jedi in a time period when any jedi in public would of been killed on sight, and JEDI WOOKIES!

Exactly! Because, even if I thought it was the worst race ever. No ones forcing ME to play as that race, and it lets players who do enjoy it play as it. Glad you finally see the other point of view.

This is going to be hilarious to see the amount of force chokes and lightnings being used in war zones. Well, least sages that have alts won't have to gripe anymore about being hosed compared to their mirror's abilities. Since they can simply use them now.

Deny it all you like, this post is pure ignorance. Why might you ask? Let me explain. This post is only taking into account one thing out of MANY that that patch did to SWG. In fact, no one complained about the wookie jedi or the over abundance of jedi when it didn't fit the lore. What made people quit was A COMPLETE OVERHAUL OF THE GAME DESIGN AND THE VERY CORE OF HOW IT PLAYED.
Yea, its like if they turned pokemon into a fighter and then claiming it was a new pokemon design that turned people away. Or turning call of duty into a flight sim and saying it was the character models that did it.

You think that's what caused SWG's decline? Could have fooled me considering everyone and his mother was taking part in the holo-grind deeply effecting the rest of the game because no one was taking part.
I know from first hand experience, as me and a handfull of others were all that was left out PVPing, and playing the parts of teh game that didn't involve Jedi. I told the old man to go screw himself.

I have to say. Not worth resubbing but it would be amusing to see my sorc do Death From Above. Frankly their aoe skill is better anyways but it would look funny as hell doing the bh one.
