look into the Radeon 9600 Pro or higher, 128 mb card. Good cards. The 9600 Pro is pretty affordable compared to the higher cards. It's what I use
On a different note....I saw you can upgrade to 2 gigs of ram and it made me think of the new Mac G5 upgradable to 8gigs of ram!!!!! 8 GIGS!!!!!!!! *faints*
www.falconnorthwest.com wouldn't be my first choice if I couldn't build my own PC. A person I know spent $2,800 on a computer that he could of gotten somewhere else or made for half that!
I will admit Falcon makes a damn good computer, but I would suggest www.alienware.com or even Voodoo PC.
Gateway is only a name brand that people know. . . I understand your delima and you can't afford the best hardware, but you see what I'm getting for $420?!?!

I don't use one of those "wrist" thingies, I guess I'm just nuts. I stick my hand in the PC while it's on and wiggle the CPU fan around (PIII Slot A)... lol
I adjust things too while it's on. I stick my hand on my baby (videocard) to see if it's hot!

I'm the same way. Never been shocked by my computer, though I have by a TV a couple times. But you ain't nuts. You just got the PC love daddio.

that pc is 699, if i tell em to take out 256 ram, then it will be 649, i have 30 credit with them, so it will be 619, plus tax, so about 675...thing is i needa monitor

2. get my store credit = $30
3. pick the NForcer 2500 = -$699
4. take out a 256 stick or ram = $40

go to computer shack and pick up a monitor = $?
so the total is $630 + $? = Total
