I would only like Pokemon, because it actually seems to fit, and Mobile Suit Gundam, but with a proper combat system similar to the show. Extremely hard to pull off because of lag, but it would be fu**ing amazing.
Are there any books, movies or rl events that you think could ever be a good MMO?
Please list what you feel would be a major success as a MMORPG if you could chose the companies to produce it.
The only rule is that you have to chose between Books,Movies or a RL event.
I think the world of Terry Goodlkind, from the Sword of Truth book series would be one of the best worlds to create an MMORPG in. You can have factions, pvp, sieges. I mean you could really go nuts.
Two of mine are already being worked on, Song of Ice and Fire and The Wheel of Time. I also wouldn't mind seeing the Mithgar series turned into a game.

Hmm. I don't even know. I prefer to use original universes because I feel most universes do not convert to MMO format well at all.
Probably the thing I always wanted was a Star Trek MMO. But not like Cryptic has screwed it up, but in the spirit of the series. Multiple player ships that you can customize, people assigned to different positions (captain, combat, medical, etc.), include all the politics that occur in the universe, have a complex space system, decent implementation of ground activities that are not just reduced to combat (kind of like TSW, maybe?), large explorable planet areas, meh... obviously, a proper Star Trek game is a double game and that's pretty heavy on resources, but it's Star Trek, for God's sake.

Nothing, IMO. I tried to read it and got halfway through the first book, and nothing whatsoever happens at all and there's nothing to get out of it. Even the characters aren't even remotely interesting...
i had my hopes up for stargate worlds before the company that was going to make when belly up from the ceo stealling money or something ... would have been a great game if they could have done it ...

There *is* already a gundam online game, abate in SD form (SD Gundam Capsule Fighter). The enviroment and mecha graphics are on the simple side, but the game is fun. It does capture the feel of gundam combat with melee, range attack, sniping, and unit specific special moves.
Personally i am having fun with the game. Note: It is NOT a proper MMO with a lobby and all instanced PvE missions and PvP areans. It is more like Diablo 3 in concept (graphics/combat of course is different) than a MMO.

Another game I would like, but based solely on the original movie is Highlander.
For me that movie was as epic as Star Wars until they butchered the story in the following releases.
This is a pretty good idea.I wouldn't mind a real mafia mmorpg. Maybe even a post apocalyptic zombie mmorpg, with some of that dayZ harshness.

I would buy and play a Naruto MMORPG if they made it right. It has all the juicy goodness of an MMORPG with great pvp potential.
