lawl. That is almost like quiting mmorpg.com because all the GW2 haters keep puking up nonsense about the game.

weird, people now leave forums because GW2 fan boys troll every other game here? The most ragetrolled game in this forums is WoW and nobody has left because of that.

Well, seeing that he's left he probably isn't using this thread anymore. Anyone heard any news on a release date for GW2?
Or quitting mmorpg.com when all of the WoW haters were out in full force....FOR YEARS! Quitting when all of the SWTOR haters/fanboys had their arguments. Well....you know we could go on forever with this.
If the OP is going to quit over this....well....he/she may as well stay gone, because this type of thing has been going on and will continue for years to come.
What makes a GW2 fanboy? If you say you don't like TSW/tor/tera are you a GW2 fanboy?
Is the OP upset because people are hating on his game?
Even saying "I hate TSW, GW2 is better" doesn't make you a GW2 fanboy, imo.
I would think a GW2 fanboy is someone who rejects the faults or even turns them into positives of GW2 (and every mmo has people who do that)

Glad I am not the only one who has noticed this. They hijack threads about other games and the slightest criticism of gw2 sends them off into full trollolololol mode. The game has a number of issues. I have no doubt it will be polished and work as intended, but frankly I question some of the mechanics. Someone pointed out on another thread that it players better with a controller, I think that is the problem, console players and lauding console mechanics on a PC game.
I am going to try the game as well, I would love for it to be the awesomest ever, I just don't think it will be. I am only trying it because there is literally nothing out right now mmo wise that I have even the slightest desire to play.
Out of all the game forums here at MMORPG, its GW2 that gets the most neg thread starters. That is fact, just look for yourself.
So the real question is, why is GW2 the bad guy? I have seen the latest games, Tera, TSW and SWTOR, and as bad as they are, they still dont garner as much hate as GW2.

And we have no idea if GW2 is going to be any good. I am eager to see what sort of life span a console game jammed into a pc package with 8 utility dps classes is going to have. I suspect this game holds peoples attention for a couple months. Because fanboy is so virulent in his defense of this game they more hold out longer than they would otherwise, but this game has some mechanics and design issues, not that it isn't working as intended, just that what is intended isn't all that great. Well, maybe we'll see I admit the possibility exist for it to be good, just not even 33% certain it won't suck.

This is true, but it's been especially bad with GW2, even worse than it was with SWTOR. I'm in agreement with the OP - it's really, really annoying to not be able to read these boards without seeing GW2's name being thrown into the discussion constantly even with there's not any reason to.
As much as I'd like to see GW2 be the messiah that many people here think it is, I admit a part of me would like to see it crash and burn like its predecessors just because of the above.
Didnt know GW2 was going to have controller functionality that was as good or better as the mouse+keyboard.
Love my controller gaming. Im even more likely to try the game out now.

It doesn't as part of the game, but some guy was telling me about a PC controller that you can install that the game works with.
This thread is amazing. Where the crap is this coming from? Have any of you seen the major release of a game around here? Oh! I will stop you there, some of you have been posting here for six years so I can safely assume you are older than six. Why don't you act it? You say there has been bigger hype for GW2 than anything else you have ever seen.......Thats bulls%^t!. You say GW2 get's more negative threads than any other game......It doesn't. Why not have a look at some of the threads from Aion or WAR just before they where released? Why not have a look at any thread about WoW or ToR? It's exactly the same. People where but hurt whenever there was a negative thing to say about Aion or War on the run up to their respective releases, both these games where heralded as the second coming by many people and those self same people vomited over any other thread who had even a positive thing to say about any other game. Get over yourselves, this is nothing new. Be objective and maybe behave (in some cases) like you are actualy pushing 40 or even older. Grow up mmorpg.com!
Not so sure on this. SWTOR hype dominated the boards for a good 2 months. I lost a star off my posting score because there just wasn't anything else being talked about and I had little interest in SWTOR.
I guess it was okay that it happened. After all SWTOR is the savior of the MMORPG industry and finally fans will get a solid, well made game with lots of diverse fun content. *cough* At least that's what they said back then. *grin*

I see hardly any hate on GW2. I see people question mechanics and talk about stuff they don't like, but most those people also say the game is fun and will be playing it anyway. I'm looking forward to the game too, but that doesn't mean I have to be a fanatic that can't see reasonable criticism of the game.

Yeah, but from my brief exposure to the game and everything i've seen it feels like it should be played on a controller to me. I am not a huge console game fan, but I will probably get one for this game.
