Have not played some of those, but EQ, EQ2, and WoW stand out in music. Lineage 2 was also good. Everquest is probably the best, which is not surprising, since it was composed with MIDI and done in the old style. Do not hear dungeon music like Velketor's Labyrinth any more; that was clearly something composed with complete creative freedom and considerable ambition. Tunes like Deserts of Ro do all that they should do, although WoW gives it some good competition with the Barrens music. But so much music from WoW blends into the background. Much less does from Everquest. Listening through the soundtrack for EQ is like an overture for a virtual world; the same for WoW is like a cinematic soundtrack for a fantasy movie like Lord of the Rings--not bad, but most of it complements the action rather than inspiring you to your own, like EQ.
OP , with all due respect you need to abolish this thread, what the hell is wrong with you not putting in End of Nations with the worlds greatest game music composer of all time Frank Klepacki? It's freaking insane!!! Just the log in screen of EoN I could leave it on full blast while cooking up some breakfest!!!
Guild Wars 2, World of Warcraft and SW:TOR all have outstanding music. I can't really say one is better than the others, all three are just excellent music wise.

That and ambiance is why I mentioned it had best overall sound. In fact it beats most mmo's by a long mile. Very few games have had me just stand around and soak in the atmosphere with combination of graphics and sound. Back in the day I did the same with Lotro mainly because it's landscapes were quite spectacular (and not so bad today despite it's age).

7. Mabinogi
8. Seal Online
9. Latale
10. Ragnarok II: Legend of the Second
You guys really have to look beyond western MMORPG'S.
Yeah, nothing can beat a Star Wars piece.
I love the GW2 Metrica themesong.

It reminds me a little of one of my favorite movies, Quiqley Down Under: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAYb30J_UOI&feature=related
Overall: Age of Conan, from intro to end of the last raid all the music is great.

Helene Bøksle has the voice of an angel!
Best song in an MMO: FFXI battle music, Final fantasy has always had some of the best music when it comes to enter battles.

The tempo and stuff just makes it so epic. It just left you wanted to get that hit in, which in FFXI combat was slow, the way I like it.
Those are the two I'd pick, and I wouldn't want to choose which was better. They're both excellent.
Overall sound I would say TSW beats most of those.
For music one must add Lotro as well especially in the new expansion coming out.
Swtor music likely takes the cake simply because of the sheer amount of music from movies and all video games up until it's release.
You stay sassy!
As an overall type thing? World of Warcraft for me. Especially the Karazhan dining room and theatre music.

After WoW it would be Jeremy Soule for GW2.
Playing: FFXIV, DnL, and World of Warships
Waiting on: Ashes of Creation

For music, i'd have to say WoW and AION. Despite me disliking WoW, i always gave Blizzard credit for making such amazing music.
Grizzly Hills: The atmosphere it created when i first played Wrath was quite amazing.
Storm Peaks: After 0:30, the choir made it for me. So serene.
Arathi Highlands: After about 0:30 created another great atmosphere, it fits almost perfectly with the Highlands.
Grim Batol: Just listen to it, it's just beautiful.
Night Elves: 1:20 beyond... need i say more.
Elwynn Forest: Just the revamp and reorchestrated music of this place left me awestruck when i heard it. It surprised me.
Total time played: 9125 Days, 21 Hours, 29 Minutes, 27 Seconds
Time played this level: 39 Days, 1 Hour, 24 Minutes, 5 Seconds
For me: Age of conan is the best and then EVE probably.
I also like the Anarchy Online music, but that is more because i have lots of fond memories from it.
Sadly, Anders Brevik also liked the AoC music and has used it in his propaganda video.
My opinion:
1. AoC
2. EVE Online
3. Guild Wars 2
4. ToR
5. WoW
I would put Age of Conan at the top. All the Funcom MMOs have great soundtracks - AoC, Anarchy Online and TSW.
Anarchy Online - Seascape http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBqYdCGaNEw
TSW - Siren's Song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGVsvRAH1gM&feature=related
Honourable mention to Vanguard, Eve and LOTRO
LOTRO - Red Stones and Golden Leaves http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pc9_zsk-dFc
You missed LOTRO (this one is classic):

And the new Riders of Rohan expansion music (by Chance Thomas) is great:

But if I had to vote for only one, it would probably be WoW; either Storm Peaks
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6I2muPfUdOQ or Grizzly Hills http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IV1ekaMKyc.
Both are amazing.
No game matches the awesomeness that is listening to Caldari Rock as you pull into an asteroid belt, about to destroy a bunch of pirate ships.

Ok, I lied. Minmatar Rock comes close:
