You use the word "if the game", thats a pretty bold if sir, and I'd appreciate it if you didn't come up with such hurtful assumptions, it's not nice.
But on a serious note, I won't say you're wrong because IF that statement came true this probly would happen. But the problem is that the IF is pretty hard to imagine in a literal sense. The game is not perfect, but unless they fail to provide us with all that was offered in the game, I doubt it will fail too hard. It might fail in the eyes of a few people, that I won't doubt, but GW2 as a whole won't fail as hard. I would be shocked if this game even lost half it's playerbase by the end of 2 months.
So, yes the if could come true and GW2 could fail, but as it looks right now, GW2 is far from failing in the light of the gamers eyes.
Yes and no. I'm using "if" but you know my gist. Least I would hope so. I don't believe it is going to fail ergo I see the same pattern emerging with this game that happened with WoW. In fact, I think quite the opposite. Hence my reasoning. Only reason I have the "ifs" in there is I could deal without the Nostradamus lashback from other posters.
1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.
2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.
3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose.
don't see a point in an argument with no ammo:) ends up just being a empty opinion bitch fest
Good outlook, though I do think that Empty Opinion Bitch Fest Online would be a pretty popular MMO.
I prefer the game "Imagination" where you make the world. Sadly, people can complain about that too, as they lack said title and would rather them make a game for them... so they can tell them what all it's missing... that they can put into their "Imagination" and poof, there you go, you got exactly what you wanted... Wait so all we need to make any game perfect is our imagination... Oh god, where have I gone wrong all these years...
i try my best to stay out of games forums I don't play and especially games I dislike unless a topic really catches my eye...
I doubt most here would deem you as doing anything different. A few? Yeah, but trust me I get the same drama from some here as well. Hell, even get private messages from a few at times.
...and I don't even post links or get stickied. So god knows what you get.

I realize that, hence why I did agree with you in my post. I'm just saying that that "if" should be wiped from your memory and never spoken of again... EVER. I don't want to hear that kind of dark omen from you anymore.
Funny how painful logic like this seems shocking to so many here. It is applauded like it's a revelation. It's the way you should approach anything in life, with respect and understanding differing views whilst still being able to debate a wide spectrum of issues and view points.
What sort of ruins it all is the title of his blog. The very use of the work fanbois simply perpetuates the steriotype and defines division. It is hard to educate people while basically calling them a name they do not wish to identify with.

think the title was more of an attention grabber more than anything.. and as you can see from most posts on most any gaming forums his logic is anything but painfully obviousy to many for whatever reason.
I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. Agree with the philosophy of finding the right game for you.
Not sure I agree with creating a post bagging fanboi's for bagging a game.
Isn't he just doing the same thing the fanboi's are doing, just one layer further out from the center of the onion, i.e. bagging the people that bag games, rather than bagging the games themselves?
But then maybe I'm just bagging the guy that bags the fanbois that bag the games.
Playing: Darkfall New Dawn (and planning to play Fallout 76) Favourite games have included: UO, Lineage2, Darkfall, Lotro, Baldur's Gate, SSX, FF7 and yes the original Wizardry on an Apple IIe

We've already got plenty of those. They're text based but F2P without even a cash shop.
