Ha! I'm glad they don't play GW2. If they are sensless enough not to grasp or understand the OPs question, I would rather they play something else.
One of my favorite things about GW2 is the people that don't play.
Yah, its quite good in filtering those who souldnt be playing in the first place (anti-socials who demand forced grouping take first spot - OMG GAME DOESNT FORCE OTHERS TO GROUP WITH ME, ITS NOT AM MMO rant rant rant... rofl)

My personal favorite is the people complaining about downscaling because they don't get to feel super powerful by mowing over junk mobs half their level. I'm guessing it's because now they keep getting pwned by junk mobs half their level.

I mean... i am downscaled with my warrior & necro and i still faceroll on low lvl areas. I really dont understand their statement

Well, considering how many people had problems to finish dodge daily, or that they had to remove combo finisher daily or how many people claim dungeons are "a mess" and how many people cant get out of outdated trinity conditioning thingy and how many people say that "every class plays the same" or "theres no difference between builds they are all the same".... its not really surprising.
I was actually surprised how EZ was to go through lowbie areas, they made it a bit tougher, but still, its faceroll.

Well, I have seen so many people just stand in one area and spam skills then complain when they get killed by AoE skills from mobs (newbie areas). The game is harder to play than people think with moving and using skills - you need to have a certain amount of coordination (not saying I have that - but at least I can dodge).
People SAY they want new things but they don't really. In the end, people want what is familiar, such as the trinity, raids, UBER armor, etc.
if you didnt loved it then, you will never like that game .
there is a living story and the world changes, but its not a single play and the changes from the dynamic events lasts for some minutes, with the living story isnt like that or with other events content comes and leaves, some stay though ...
the gameplay is the same, just some bugs fixed and some professions become more effective but the gameplay remains if you didnt liked it then you will never like it : )
i lvl a necro to max lvl .. because i like pvp .. but then i got rolled by a gun guys... what was he a illisions ..or something any ways he killed me 2 times and 6 other people before we killed him .... it took all of us about 10 minutes and this was one guy that killl 6 people solo .... i died 2 times before i and some other people got him .. this opened my eyes to how unbalance the game was .. as for the grind ..i found it to be so stupid killl killl kill kill get hardly no money or xp and only lvl 25 ( this was my wizard ) and died all the time .. from pulling 6 mob .... the game seem to be nothing more then a grind fest ... i tryed to play and tryed to get into the dugeons but 1 dugeon run was going on over 4 hours to finish .. who wants to sit at the computer for 4 hours straight to get a tier 1 dugeon done just in the hopes of getting some drops ... ..
i should say .. i still have it loaded on my computer but i cant remmeber the last time i logged it .. the game just felt point less .... but then again that my opnion ... i still like the game but with out some goals to play for (other then drops ) this game is not for me
The way I maintain my interest with this game is to treat it like a console game. I play through the content as it is released and then shelve it until more comes along. This helps keep the boredom to a minimum.

I enjoyed the game at release. I've enjoyed it for eight months and over 1400 hours of play. I still enjoy it and almost never go a day with out playing it.
Has the game improved or even built upon what it offered at launch? Sadly, IMO, not so much. Arenanet has done a good job at providing monthly updates with fresh content, but almost always that content is temporary, rather than meaningfully expanding the ongoing content in the world. There have been a lot of changes and additions to PvP and WvW, but the response to the actual payoff for that work seems pretty mixed.
They didn't follow through on the plan to double or triple the number of DEs in the open world. I'd be surprised if there are even 5% more DEs in the world than at launch. Each profession still has too few truly viable level 80 builds and they've mostly been nerfing out of existence builds that did work, rather than buffing up builds that needed a little work to be competitive.
To me, it's a testament to the work they did prior to release that I've still enjoying the game eight months and so many game hours later, but seeing what they accomplished in five years of pre-launch development makes what they've accomplished in the last eight months seem pretty pathetic. I also disagree with some of the phylisophical changes becoming more and more evident at ANet, with a lot of back sliding into old, failed and stale MMO design practices.
2013 Arenanet is not pre-2013 Arenanet and I'm not sure what's going on, but I don't really like it. Eventually I will exhaust the massive amount of content and playability the game launched with and I just don't see the additions added since then offering much added enjoyment at all.

I don't hate much, but I hate Apple© with a passion. If Steve Jobs was alive, I would punch him in the face.
It is amazing how one sided some gamers can be. “Keep an open mind and know that you can always learn more.”
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.

The game is b2p, so you can try again at any time....
