Sandbox: "What!? There are some quests available which I need to complete in a specific order so they can tell a coherent story!? What an ez-mode handholding POS, game
You see those quest you speak off would be fun to do if we players actually had to think while doing them, in a themepark mmo these days you don't have to think, you get the frikkin quest you look at the map and see that big yellow citcle that the quest area are at and when you get there the quest items are lit up like a christmas tree and the correct mob type are there for you to kill, now THATS hand holding people speaks of not the quests model.
I agree it cheapens the experience. To be honest though, its not really a defining feature of a themepark game and only one of the complaints from the sandbox crowd which seem more bothered by the fact that themepark directs the player through a specific path around the world instead of just letting them do whatever they want with no clear objective or purpose outside of their own imagination.
As for the quest assistance, Its more something they added over the years because players were just alt-tabbing anyway and checking some internet database all the time to find a quest objective. Even I did it now and then for the more frustrating quests. Also, it takes the blame from developers who just suck at explaining quests and objectives.
All in all shows more people possitive on this game then negative... Which somehow feels like a mirracle on this website..
I still am a firm believer in this game, and i know many with me..
Its 50 -50 actually.

Being "very much in doubt" means you still can go either way. It is a poorly constructed poll anyway. There is only one positive choice and basically 2 negative choices. Either the "very much in doubt" choice should be removed (as it is essentially the same as the last choice but sounds far more negative) or a second more positive choice such as "Likely will try it but need to know more".
Because of this it is not 50-50 and you will never be able to measure the result due to the poor choices offered.
You're arguing that "very much in doubt" can be positive? The question is "Are you happy with where the game currently stands?" Being very much in doubt is never a positive response to that question. It could potentially be semi-positive if the question was whether or not someone was going to buy the game, but that's just not the question.
It's a really poor poll, but it seems pretty clear to me that 2 of the options are negative, one is positive while the fourth one is neutral. The results do seem to be very close to 50/50 when considering whether or not someone responded positive or negative to the poll.
sandbox people are unhappy? They are few and, if they are looking at TESO, they are simply looking at the wrong game. TESO is a themepark, the game kind that most MMO players want, but with a lot of sandbox/freedom features. Just like Skyrim (Skyrim is not a real sandbox, only with mods the game can be totally changed and you can't permit mods in a MMO). So if they are unhappy, it's purely their fault, looking at a game not designed for them.

Yeah it totally makes sense that in an alliance or faction you should be murdering your own faction nonstop..... You should play Darkfall

Actually... Killing your own faction makes you a murderer and as soon as someone sees you doing this... You will be a cast out, that cant come intoo towns, cant come near guards, and all NPC including questgivers stop talking to you..
its not that kind of game...

its got it all, lightning, fireballs, catapults, horses, arrows, axes, lots of people, walls being smashed, an elf on the top of the keep, what more could someone want from PVP?
But that's not real game play .....you have to show real game action

Advice for Beta testers, crank the graphics settings up. Given all the different opinions, I'm thinking maybe they don't have a system that sets your graphics automagically yet since its not packed in release format or whatever yet?
My option isn't based on game play but common sense. Certain builds/weapons will be op. That's most of what you will see in battle, at least until it gets nerf'ed. The factions will be unbalanced, because of the race lock, starting land and race skills. It won't be much fun fighting for a keep when its mostly just npcs. There will be zerging. There will be bugs and exploits. All those nice graphic settings will be turned way down to cut down on lag, since a lot of people won't be using top end machines.
The game will be competing against FF Reborn(sub), Improved WoW(sub), Wildstar(sub) and Landmark, so any problems are going to be bigger because people will all ready be tempted to try out or go back to the other games.
Yes, I'm very happy witht he results of this poll, looks like a lot of people still confused yet though. Theres a lot of fan sites that can tell them a lot about this game if they want to know more about it.
Quest gaming network, Shoddycast, and tamrielfoundry are just a few great resources to find out about the game.

But why ? i mean ESO is the only game of the two with an actual release date ? As far as i remember Wildstar has nothing but a vague 2Q date and nothing else. I see no reason not to jump into ESO play through the story, and then after a few months you can jump into Wildstar.

Yeah, it totally makes sense that if there is an alliance of faction that the crime of murder would just suddenly vanish. The pride it creates would make everything all rosey, even to the point of it placing up invisible walls around your boarders so the war never reaches it.
All is well in the lands of alliances and factions.

I had to put the game down or else I was going to spoil my 1st experience even more. It's really fun..but I'm still iffy on buying on release (being poor and all). But someday down the road for sure

Polls like this i always find so abstract, 1 positive answer, 2 negative, and one undecided.
As of me reading this, its 41% of people are happy, 20.9 unhappy, 20.9 concerned.
Interpreting the polls seems to suggest that its 50-50. happy vs non happy. which isnt apparent apon first looking at the graph.

PvP will always generate a ton of complaints regardless of how it is implemented.
Better just ignore them, and make the best game they can.

I don't care much for story, I love Sandbox games, and I love PvP, and I will definitely buy and play ESO.
If you want a new idea, go read an old book.
In order to be insulted, I must first value your opinion.
The yellow and red outlines are pretty cheezy (from the quakecon video). I know they are diablo-esque, but they just don't fit in elder scrolls.
they should use something more subtle or just turn it off. It really takes away from the graphics if you ask me.
There must be another way to do it so the whole screen isn't filled with red and yellow toxic waste monsters.
They said a long time ago that it was optional and could be turned off. While playing I really didnt even notice it happening.
