And then they start screaming - Nothing to do, give us new content, sod the bugs and issue's the game has, we want new content else were leaving due to no end game.
That's what usually happens next, serves them right, shouldn't blast through stuff that quickly. Hell its not even officially released yet, only early access players. However think I am gonna hold off for a few months and see what sort of feedback this game gets in all. Don't mind monthly fee's (if game is interesting and fun enough), don't mind purchasing either but this game in the UK has double the original pricetag of other games which has somewhat put me off.
It only took 17 hours and 34 minutes to Jake Shelton, member of our War Legend Guild, to reach the level 50 with his Sorcerer on The Elder Scrolls Online.
Welcome to the world of todays solo friendly mmo's, especially in the west.
What REALLY happened is they got to level 10 legally and then exploited a bug that was known in beta. It involves PvP and experience stacking.
I'm not going to go into details because I hate cheaters and don't want to encourage anyone, but anyone at 50 in a day CHEATED and will likely be banned soon from what I've read and been told.
Z
People who are 50 streamed it all the time. For example the first person who hit 50 did it simply by grinding mobs.
Stop making up stuff and slandering people because they blew a hole 'its impossible in ESO because its special' theory.

Did you watch every minute of this stream?
Who did?
Was it live? or was it pre fabricated?
Kind of pointless
Is that a serious question? you think people will stream their leveling using exploits for everyone to see? and yes i did watch the entire stream of the french person who hit level 50. It was fun and since i couldn't log in game so had nothing better to do.

This has been the bane of every new major MMORPG launch for the past how many years? It happend in the early access to GW2, someone hit 80 that weekend, I remember being low level seeing players in FF14 running around in their Magitech mounts. So why did anyone think it wouldn't happen here?Who was it, in this thread, who said it shouldn't be possible in an MMORPG? He's right, but here we are.
Everyy single MMO released since WOW...players have been hitting max level in couple of days.It was naive to think that XP nerf is going to stop these people. It happened before WOW, people could max out a toon in SWG in days back in 03-04. A real Xp nerf could stop these people, yet no sane dev is gong to do that, if they made XP truly meaningless ( as many seemed to say just a week ago about ESO), there would be no one hitting cap in days without some form of exploit. They're not going to do that though, I certainly had a hard time believing it a week ago in ESO's case. You must be delusional or something , SWG was a Sandbox game, there was no cap level, you could be whatever you wanted to be whenever you wanted, i maxed out alot of professions just for the sake of it and to have the badges etc.You can in no way compare any of those games to SWGYou only had 250 skill points once you spent them you were capped. Still think I'm delusional?Quite, it doesn't have a level cap, skill points cap can't in anyway be compared to the level cap in traditional themepark mmo's , if you can't see that, then there is something wrong with you, in SWG you would grind XP for f.x Jedi for over a year just to become Jedi Master if thats what you wanted to be, thats how long it took with grinding and returning to the village to turn it into jedi xp.so even then with the skill boxes it still took a year or was it 9-10 months for one guy to become jedi master. This /
Not even in the same ball park of todays mmo's. And no to the person who said every single game since WOW has been like this, not Vanguard or SWG. No way in hell could you reach max level in one day playing Vanguard, more like a couple months of non stop playing.
As for ESO, why people think that the leveling is slow is beyond me lol.
On top of that there is such a thing as sharing accounts, it ain't rocket science.
They should have an xp meter like Vanguard, this would allow people to actually control their leveling pace.
Eh no. You could go from novice to master in any crafting profession in around 4 to 6 hours. You could macro all the artisan, entertainer, and media, professions from novice to master without having to even be there and it took less than a day.

Ofcourse not. But i watched it for quite many hours to see how she was leveling up. Anyone can do it, its not something impossible.
Its really sad that people have to resort to slander. A lot of players watched that stream on different hours and someone would have known if she was exploiting.
I can not believe you actually think she is stupid enough to exploit on live stream when she can just do it without feeilng the need to show it to the world.

I don't know exactly how much the total play time was. Although, this guy is saying its 17 hours.
I did watch in total of 8 to 10 hours i think on and off. Apart from few breaks here and there she was pretty much non stop. its amazing how some people can do this because i can never do it. She just aoe the mobs all the way to 50, no quests or anything.

Who ever said that? No one ever said that, the discussions you're thinking about was the XP nerf discussions, the closest anyone came to saying that was me, and what I was saying was a guess at why they MIGHT have done those XP nerfs, it was not a statement on why but a guess at why. And that guess was based on what everyone was saying, which was you can only quest to level in ESO, it's the only efficient way. I also asked in the same thread.. if you got close to as much xp in the time it took to finish a quest, by grinding mobs in that time. Which no one answered. What I was saying was actually backing up the opposite end of the spectrum ( not fans) I was saying they're trying to force you to quest.
The stuff that happens here isn't in a bubble so it makes no sense why people try and come in later and spout this kind of nonsense. Especially when the people you're trying to "quote" are reading...

Anyway I come here often (obviously) I've never once seen someone say something even close to your "exact words".

Well to me there is a difference between playing and working to get to level cap. If I wanted to work, well, I would go to work. Doesnt sound very fun getting to it that way! ty for the input.

Every MMO released in the last decade has people who reach max level in the first day. Nothing new or surprising, especially in this age where people can memorize the level progression during beta. For some, leveling a character on day 1 is their adrenaline high. Now, they become total tools if they go onto forums and whine about there not being enough content.
I make spreadsheets at work - I don't want to make them for the games I play.

It really isn't typical of the first day TBH. Yet you are correct this is nothing all that new.

What about people that get to max level in a month and bitch about there being no content? Are they tools too? What about 2 months?

Content locusts are generally the ones who know the games inside and out.
Regardless, 1-LEVELCAP in anything less than three months is a crime against humanity/the whole genre. I don't care how optimized your path, quest sequence and combat is, nor whether or not the character in question was botted 24/7 or the result of a three day coke binge.

I think for this game, instead of people saying, "we ran out of content," they'll say that quest grinding as a form of content at level 50 is extremely boring. So you can call all of those people tools as well. Actually, you might as well take it even further and say that anyone that doesn't like the game are tools too. It'll make it easier for you to compartmentalize other people into "us vs them" groups.

What rush is there to achieve 50 level? Rather enjoy the game, craft, explore, do instances etc. ...
But, some people most likely enjoy this.

I miss the times when it took a full year after launch to hit the level cap (Asheron's Call) and several months for EQ.
Now its done to days, or even one day. How casual have MMOs become for that extreme change?
