You cant spam the vampire ultimate (bat swarm) - I'm sorry you just can't.
Are you talking about the Mist? That's not an ultimate - I'ts a skill. And since there are cooldowns, its working as intended until you run out of mana. There is nothing to fix.
You can spam it. Read official forums, even honest vampires themself reported this, where they can make their ult cost nothing or only 4 ultimate points. The vampire ultimate itself does only 150 dmg a second wich is totally fair. While they stack it up in a big zerg up to 4-6x you can count the dmg yourself. 6x150= 900 dmg a second just by keep pressing R and ur button for mist form.
Also a way to see the stacking is, instal an addon which does a combat log, it clearly shows you for example "bat swarm 190 x4" or "x3" or "x6" depens how often they stack it.
And if it is a 1vs1 there can't be any other vamps so the combat log doesnt lie. There's only a bunch of people abusing this "But if you check the emperor list you will realise that 7 out of the top10 are using this exploit".
But atleast they nerfed this stupid shield bash so this vampire exploiters can't use shield bash aswell anymore.
On the other hand it is actually sad that people have to abuse things like this, to feel strong since their player skill seems to be on a low point.
This whole thing makes me wonder if all the Beta tests were just to generate sales ?
Too many bugs, exploits, and bots in a retail offering.
Bought the Collector's Edition, didn't even bother finishing first month.
Can someone please take the time and effort to make a AAA subscription based MMO that feels like a fleshed out complete game ?
Launching half-finished junk is the new norm.
It is also a players fault, if you talk about Beta's. We just want to play the game for free for a while.
I could bet 90% of us players run past a bug and think like " oh a bug damn, lets continue" instead of reporting it or writing some issue report on their forums.
Other closed beta's are given to people which play alot but the problem is they abuse it to generate spectators on "Twitch" and earn money instead to help with all the bugs.
"They don't care about the game, it is just a cash grab and they will never fix anything"
*patch notes come out with steps in the right direction*
"They are just doing that because of the negative response/it isn't good enough right this second"
Don't get me wrong, the game will always have issues and it is lackluster, but it is funny to watch the haters fall on their face. God I love these forums.
Been reading a lot of posts here for few days but i have yet to read where someone said 'they will never fix the game'.
Gave up reading when I saw how long the list is. Good to see that there're still putting so much work into ESO. Lets hope they'll keep it up like this for years to come ;-)
I would consider a hater someone who bashes the game despite not buying it, and possibly never playing it or not playing it enough.
It's not really just to call someone a hater that spent more than $60 on the game. They obviously wanted to play the game and like it, but something in the game changed their mind. The fact that those people come on the forum to vent their displeasure and let downs doesn't make them haters. It makes them unhappy customers.
I fit in the latter. ESO has a lot of issues, more so than I think is reasonable to put up with for a released game. The "patch notes" are actually for the PTS, not the live client. In the state of the game letter, he mentioned things on the PTS could take weeks to make it to live, if I remember correctly, not to mention anything on the PTS can be changed at any time.
So with the game approaching the end of its first month, releasing patch notes for the PTS doesn't encourage anyone playing on the live servers to keep playing. Assuming everything on the PTS works out, that patch won't hit the live servers until after the first month.
I don't know about the rest of the unhappy customers, but I'm willing to give the game another shot in the future after they fix their game, but only if they give me a free 3-7 days to test it out again. I refuse to give them anymore money to "see for myself" if the game is ready and I won't take anyone elses word for it. ~$80 is all they get from me until then.
I wish the happy customers the best of luck and I hope you all enjoy the game, but please don't incite flame wars by calling unhappy customers "haters." We spent money on the game too and have just as much right to voice our opinion of the game as you all do.
A lot of the hater remarks refer to people who have never bought the game. There are a lot of these people even in this thread.
Or they might be people who are waiting for the game to be fixed before they do buy into it. At the moment the onus is on Zenimax to fix the game, improving the players game experience so that they will want to buy it, and at the moment i have to say that there is still a heck of a lot left undone. The longer it takes them to fix the game then the fewer players will remain interested in buying, worse, even more existing players will become disillusioned with the games progress in addressing issues currently with the game, and leave. This is a problem entirely of Zenimax's own making.

Launching half-finished junk is the new norm.
It's not the new norm. This is the worst launch I've ever experienced. I played in WAR, AION, DDO, GW2, TSW, FFReborn, Champions, SWTOR, LoTRO, AOC, and several more I'm sure. I experienced very little to no bugs in any of those games at launch. The worse I experienced from any game at launch was long que times. Maybe I'm lucky in the past releases, but ESO was pretty bad IMHO.
Lots of very nice changes incoming. Especially glad to see some improvements being made to Enchanting. Unfortunately no real improvements / fixes to several Nightblade abilities which have not been working properly. There are also some major issues being caused by some of the changes, such as the 6 target limit on AoEs. Created a whole other thread about that here http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/post/6303839/thread/411128#6303839 rather than turning this thread into a focus on that.

The game was not ready. They are going to spend a good 6 months fixing it, and/or adding the content that should have been in the game at launch. They are going to be doing all of this after a box sale, and while collecting subs. Once the game is 'good' they will change to F2P and re-launch.
The launch of this game was totally a cash grab. They could have kept it in development, and then launched as F2P when it was ready. However, they instead chose to squeeze as much money as possible from their 'loyal' fanbase before attempting a real launch.
The game has bugs...the game gets patched...the bugs are gone.
This simple concept in programming seem lost on the posters running round in circles screaming about bugs.
Yeah - the theory is sound; but if you've been playing mmo's for any length of time, you know there is a time when.....
The game has bugs....the game gets patched....some bugs not fixed....new bugs appear....the game gets patched.....
So its a longer string of logic in reality and not surprising for a recently released mmo. I agree that some day, most likely, the bugs will be gone. But I've seen games that fixed it in a few months and games that have fixed it in a few years and in some cases games which chose simply not to fix certain things. So the future is still wide open as to the quality of ESO's strike force. Looks to be a promising patch - yet, what new bugs might it unleash?
Looks like a good list of much needed patches. It's going to the test server first so no ETA on live? I hope they don't make the mistake of waiting for the free month to pass before deploying this on the live server.
----
Let's hope that they don't introduce too many new issues. The first patch is the most critical patch they will ever do when it comes to the subscribers.

Fair point, its always a matter of do more get removed than get brought in. My only concern here is that ESO does not try to add too much until the house cleaning is complete. That's always a temptation for a new MMO, give players something new.

Where in those quoted posts did you manage to find him stating a justification for a subscription?
There are 3 types of people in the world. 1.) Those who make things happen 2.) Those who watch things happen 3.) And those who wonder "What the %#*& just happened?!"

The suggestion that Zenimax don't try to add much (to the game) until the house cleaning is done. Yet adding new content is the major reason people give for having a subscription.

True, I can see your point, but I think what hes getting at is while they can add new content, don't just focus all your resources there while letting previous issues linger. I think what Scot is saying is balance content delivery with fixing the established game and not leaning more toward 'new' when 'old' is still in rough shape.
Which as someone who pays a subscription, I would rather see fixes for the majority of the game rather than new content for the few who make it to the end game in the few weeks post launch. Always best to make sure the foundation is sound before adding on that second floor imho.

Thats why we have beta. Oh wait! Nvm.
Even after beta issues will crop up - it's a fact of life with software, be it gaming, operating systems, tax software, etc.
Beta tests can only uncover so much. In gaming beta tests its a bit worse because those in beta tend to treat it like a free trial. They ignore the bugs (remembering the ones that can give them an advantage and save them for a later date...) and focus on playing and learning the gameplay. Just look at everytime there is a beta, these forums are filled with "Downloaded, didn't like it, uninstalled it - F*** game X".
Look at the forums for the next beta you are in - You will see 1 "This bug is an issue" post for every 10 "Nerf Class XYZ" posts.

MMO is a genre, usually combined with some other genre to form a particular type of game (MMOFPS, MMORPG). ESO is both a RPG and MMO which makes it a MMORPG.
