Starting September, we will see an exodus towards WoW, i think people will want to play Dreanor and prepare for that...
so why would someone want to play Draenor?
- they updated the graphics
- everyone allready played the game once or more, and now they can reach level 100
- the game has allways been fun (for most people)
- after almost 10 years, its still the game that has most things right of any MMO out there, and most content to offer...
however there is also still a lot to improve in this game...
- they should add an AA system, more character customisation and depth will keep experienced MMO player playing
- they should add (volluntary) downleveling, and give people a reason to play lower level solo content.. Or even better, make a sepperate instanced version of the pre draenor world where all content is transfered to level 100
-they should add atleast three times as much content as they did during early expansions
but even withouth this, the game is as good as it gets...
and if i browse these forums, whole hordes of players are all looking for a game thats better then WoW... Well, maybe this is as good as it gets..

WildStar is my game now but i will play WoD in a casual manner. Level 1 or 2 characters to 100 do some PvP and see the new raids via the LFR tool. From the info released so far it is clear that Blizzard is putting serious effort into this new expansion.
However, if they pull the same stunt like having one year without new content again then it's going to be adios WoW for me and for many many others i believe.
Are there any screenshots of this or even videos? Do characters now have 100 instead of 50 polygons?

It's about time, the game looked 10 years old when it was released.
I won't be going back. I left after the crapstorm that was Wrath. I'm glad to be done with WoW. To think of that game makes my skin itch sometimes when I'm gaming LOL.
Although I do hope WoW sees a resurgence and some of these F2P titles dry up. Slap the wrists of those types of people. Just my 2 cents.

So, did ESO have a successful launch? Yes, yes it did.By Ryan Getchell on April 02, 2014.

I do not see myself or anyone I know returning, but we all look forward to Titan. The spark that WoW had for me has long since disappeared. Though I think WoW should be credited with bringing many more players to the MMORPG genre, and that its continued success would continue to do that, I also kind of hope it does poorly and starts to force Blizzard to work harder to get Titan out faster.
On the other hand, after how awful Diablo 3 was at release, maybe I do not want to see the kind of crap they might plop out if they are rushed.
Many will return for WOD, that I have no doubt.
But.... how long will they stay?

Pretty easy to find the other updates with a quick google, i guess It's a big difference, but i personally feel it really doesn't matter much.
I know my friends wont play again just because of new character models.
Same, even i'm gonna give it ago see how things are, but i feel like it's going to be the same outcome as MoP were i stayed for three months then left
I could see myself returning to WoW as a game, as i quit and have not played since two weeks pre-cata.
But i can never again see myself return to the company Blizzard has become. No way i'd ever give them another penny.
While I suppose anything is possible, I have yet to see the first thing about this so-called 'expansion' that could even remotely be construed as interesting enough for me to spend $50 + $15/month on. IMO, Blizz burned everyone with their incessant laziness, failure to create content while charging for that luxury, and complete and utter disdain for their own customers. They're the Wizards of the Coast of the MMO world, offering subpar products produced with astounding levels of arrogance and possessed of a staggering sense of entitlement to my pocketbook.
Their attitude was enough to make me reconsider my entire position on the subscription model I had always supported. To say I am disgusted by their antics would be an understatement along the lines of referring to the Grand Canyon as 'that ditch in Arizona'.
As with most games that release an expansion some people will go back at least until that content is done.
So it will be no surprise that some people will return, but most of those that return will end up leaving again after the finish the new content. Why? For the same basic reasons they left in the first place.
So why go back if they already know they'll be leaving because of the same old same old?
That was on the top of my list when i left the game behind, its a bloody shame...

I'll probably poke my head around the door when it releases for a week or two.
The main problem I have with the later iterations of WOW is that it just compares poorly to my experiences in vanilla and TBC. This is largely because my old guild has long since disbanded and moved on, but it is also due to the more anti-social, solo-centric, lobby-based direction the game has developed in.
At this point Blizzard is in it for now for the box sales from xpack. Game is 10 years old, Blizzard knows that people will play xpack till content is eat up then stop playing and wait till next xpack.
Rinse repeat.
For comparisons sake, the original Dwarf model has 1,160 polygons and the WoD one has 7,821 polygons.
What are you talking about? They just release an expansion for D3, another big update is coming. Hearthstone is going to have a content update in July.
May be they are just slow in WoW because that is the slowly declining property instead of a growing one.
