The problem for me, is that apart from adding in the new models, and they've not just updated the characters, but also some wildlife too, is that, thats about it. They progressed a little on the instanced farm idea with Garrisons, and they did an item sqwish, which isn't content anyways. They are changing up healing again, hopefully it will go in the right direction, instead of aoe spam, but from what I've read, Shamans will go back to chain heal spam like in WOTLK, so that'll be dull. Then they have the eastern style stats being added to the game, and well that might add a little, it'll just be mathed out to the point you'll only have one option and thats it for a whole expansion. Not really that great, MoP had new race, new class, the farm idea was new, and well seemed a lot more than what is being offered with WoD.

I'm still undecided of if I'll come back or not, I'll probably come back for the 6.0 patch, to see how healing feels, even though it won't be balanced at 90, but least it'll be different. Whether or not I pay the most for an expansion that they've ever charged, for what I feel less content, I doubt it.

Blizzard has their massive Titan project still going don't forget. I don't play WoW, I just know Titan is their resource hog. The fact after 10 years they still provide expansions is just a plus.

Nope, not even close. WoW has a ton of design flaws.

Here's the reason people will come back.

It was their first MMO, and it's still in development.

WoW got marketing right, more than anything else. They were the first major MMO with tons of marketing and a well known studio behind it. That's all it really took. There's nothing in WoW that's unique to WoW.

I know I wont be going back for WoD.

I tried about 2 years ago. I made a new character but by level 10 (which means roughly an hour into it) I was so numbingly bored again I stopped and haven't returned.

I can't say I'll NEVER return. but it aint in the cards at present.

nah .. they scrapped it ("redesigned from scratch!"). I doubt they will make any classical MMORPG again. If you look at their new games, they are doing MOBA and CCG now.

I highly doubt they will never make an MMORPG again.

They need to cut down the amount of new gear they keep pushing out. Many players don't even have a chance to get half the old gear before they push new out making it more like a full time chore/job than anything else.

That gets boring real fast, expansion seems to be almost every 2yrs so just 2 content upgrades in that space time should be enough not 1 every 2-3 months.

They also need to sort the servers out, get rid of some, fill up others. I see they have put all prices up except the monthly subscription (bet that will follow rather soon)... E.G name change from £6 to £8, server hop from £15 to £18 per character, gender change now £18, faction change now £22. But still no option to move multiple characters from server A to server B (must be from and too same server), no they will lose money from that.

I also see character buy immediate lvl 90 for £40. LOL were is the fun in that.

In fact, i am much more interested in seeing Blizz to try a new game type (say third person stealth). Didn't they also did a 3rd person action game with Starcraft Ghost?

That was on the top of my list when i left the game behind, its a bloody shame...

It really is. I think to myself how amazing this game could be with all the money they have.

Same, even i'm gonna give it ago see how things are, but i feel like it's going to be the same outcome as MoP were i stayed for three months then left

Same. I did not come back for MOP, but my interest in WoW has been shorter each expansion to the point that I no longer care to bother checking out what WOD will offer. After seeing the butchery they made of the classes, this ship sailed and isn't coming back.

Well, they just got me going back .... I just bought MOP and am downloading the client right now.  I was waiting for Archeage's open beta but they just took too long so i figured I would go back to WOW for a little while just until Archeage is released.

They should find a way for the old zones to be useful but instead trying to get people past that and to the new zones which results any pre latest expansion content being ghost towns.

This isn't a signature, you just think it is.

I definitely get that sense too, which is why I occasionally log on to a free trial account.  I just roam around, enjoy the aesthetics, and let nostalgia take me.  I haven't subscribed to the game since WotlK though.

Paid expansion for a mmo? I did not know these still existed.

AA needs to be put in there ASAP.

When i reach cap, i am bored after a week running the same dungeons/raids.

They need a long term progression system.

When Cata happened, all the nostalgia went with it.

    Are many people coming back?

I played this game for ten years. I have seven L90 characters.

    I am not coming back.

No new class? No new race? No new villain or original story arc?

New world that's pretty much a retread of every other orc landscape we've ever seen? Isn't Draenor just Outland in the future or the past or something? Hell, I've already been to Outland.

And these 'new character looks'? To me, they don't actually look that different. And we get exactly the same level of customisation - ie. not much.

So good luck to all those who are returning. I'm going to sit this one out.

I'd like to see this. Low level content are gold, but they're too low leveled people just skip them.

Neither am I. Wow was a good game for me ... but anything gets old. I would much rather play new games, and there is no lack of that!

This is what always happening. Ppl get back when an expansion launches and after a month or two either they quit again or hanging around and jumping in Orgrimmar playing mostly in chat channels than in game.

LFR (4 hours max) + 1-2 weekly bosses (10 mins max) + 4-5 daily quests (15 mins max) are the weekly play of 90% of the player base.

On the other hand, after how awful Diablo 3 was at release, maybe I do not want to see the kind of crap they might plop out if they are rushed.

With regards to you looking forward to Titan, what aspect of the game appeals to you most i.e. what encouragement is there to look forward to it?  Please let me know the key features I should be looking out for? Thanks.

Where do you get those stats from re what players do?  It's not how I play, but I am interested to read the stats and source material to see how I compare.

    Ha!!

If you read these forums you would be led to believe that no one cares for WOW anymore and then moment beta keys for WOD are offered they are gone with in seconds. So much so that mmorpg.com have to offer more keys again and the topic is already 20+ pages long with people unable to breathe with excitement.

I won't be surprised that these same people who claim to be 'done' with WOW are begging for beta keys on alt accounts.

    Hypocrites.
