If companies are this afraid of opening up too many servers because of the inevitable drop in player activity then they should put their collective meatheads together and come up with a better solution.

You just have to look a Teso to realize they arn't . It leads to too many people doing the same solo quests its hard to even get a shot in on a mob before its killed .
I have patron status and am forced to wait 4-5 hours to log in. This is insane. I paid to play but I cant. Its ridiculous, Trion will ruin a very good game by doing this.
Is it that hard to open lots of new servers and add a free migration ? is it so hard to increase server cap ? is it so hard not to let new people enter on over-populated servers ???
They failed so hard on the server side of things it's not funny. 3k+ queues are nothing more than utter incompetence.

All server queues are above 4k on EU currently, it says that I will need to wait under an hour to get in, but queue moves so slowly that I think it will be like 3hours. Anyone know how long it takes to wait 4k queue ?

Huh? There was an early problem (fixed many months ago) where bosses in small caves / delves respawned quickly, and people could use them as loot pinatas. The sharding now is pretty seamless and I haven't had a problem tagging anything for many months. Megaservers make it complex for grouping, but that's a different issue than quest credit.
Longer term I think that MMOs will simply have to adopt megaservers in one way or another. Otherwise the inevitable population drops accelerate themselves.
