World of Warcraft was a wonderful game the first couple of months I played it, but the quests are repetetive and just plain boring. Always go here, kill this. The game is filled with immature little kids. Lag can get pretty bad also. The game is getting to be too expensive for what it is worth. To sum it up I hate the community and the game has just gotten boring from doing the same thing over and over.
If it's got blood, I can kill it.

Can't say I disagree with what you've written there. Pretty much sums up why I left WoW aswell. Massive fun for the first few months, then the repetitive grind gets very boring. The lag ruined all the raids I had, and the community for the most part, is terrible.

Which FF Character Are You?
WoW got boring for me, then I went to a PvP server and can't beleive I wasted 40+ levels on a PvE server...
Bye.
*plays the violin*
is it nessciary to tell us why you quit?
I dont know who you are, and your leaving wouldent really make a blip on the radar to me.
Bye dude. At least he didn't flame too much. But why do people tell why they quit? Trolling, period. Have fun in whatever you do i.e. trolling the boards
Can I have your stuff?
Yea, not to be mean or anything but you dont have to post that you quit.....
Well, I would say that you'll be missed, but that would go against the promise I made to myself to be more honest.
Cheers.
lol Everyone else was doing it, I just wanted to be popular....
If it's got blood, I can kill it.
can we all random for your stuff.......
/random 1-100

Why is everyone on the WoW boards so hostile here? He said the problems he had and why he left, end of discussion. You dont need 15 people tell him to STFU and "We dont care about you" comments.
You guys really need to be nicer to the community here and respect them for their decisions. Just becuase this game is popular doesnt make it so you guys can be ass's to everyone else for thier decisions.
so am i....i stopped playing the game since yesterday, im fed off of their quests....
P2P is good but i need free games
Lol you pretty much sumed up 100% of the MMOs out there, repetetiveness is a key ingredient to any MMO you make, hell any game you make really. Now how each person deals with it is a entirely different ballgame. So your best bet is to mix-up your exposure to repetetive gameplay. Try playing GW or EQ2 for a while, it's wise to say that a person cannot judge a relationship based solely on dating one person their entire life. The same holds true for MMOs. You will not know how good you have it until you compare it to something else......

Now on the other hand it seems to me that you yourself are a kid for two reasons: 1) You just cannot continue to afford it (hence the reason for you stating how expensive the game is, when it has a average MMO price rate) and 2) How you are looking for acceptence/support/praise for your departure of a game you truely enjoyed, but cannot continue to play for personal reasons beyond your control(it seems). Either way it goes, sadly you would find more support you are looking for in the GW/EQ2/L2 sections.

I empathise with the OP.
After months of turning a blind-eye to Blizzard's empty promises, sloppy community management, piss-poor communication and bizarre decision-making I've pretty much reached breaking point with WoW.
It's apparent at this point that they're abusing the fact that in the MMO world they have no competition, but it's sad to see so much potential being destroyed by so many factors, including what turned out to be the shittiest PvP system in any game ever, in which your win/lose ratio has nothing to do with your score and the amount of hours you PvP has everything to do with it.
I bought and played the game based on the PvP system Blizzard advertised before the game released. When they announced they'd decided to remove the dishonor penalties, I shrugged and assumed as professional game designers they were doing the right thing. They weren't.
WoW is the best MMO on the market today by a wide margin, IMO... which says so little for the current state of the MMO genre.
I still play ocassionally, but I can't see myself sticking with WoW in the long term.
Until something better comes along (which doesn't look too hopeful), I'm back in Morrowind and loving it.
