The effort that you spend sharing how many new accounts were created is useless, except for the purpose of mislead the public to believe that the number of SC backers is growing. Given the fact that the whales spend thousands of dollars on this and will do whatever is necessary to promote the game, I wouldn't be surprised that 90% of the new accounts are additional accounts of the same people already deeply invested in the game. One of the evidences in favor of this theory is the fact that the number of regular followers never grows to follow this grow in number of accounts, I mean, proportionally. It just remains steady in the same level, and have been for years actually. Added to that, the fact that since the begin, the supporters were clear adept of this attitude. Even Chris Roberts came to the public earlier 2013, confirming that 40k accounts never had pledged and did not even mention how many individual had multiple accounts, which were a lot. Highly doubtfull that since that time, this behavior of the big followeres changed. It just grew for sure. That's why the discrepancy between the counter and the reality of the popularity of Star Citizen and is supposed grow is huge and the info that you are sharing is almost useless... once again... except if you want to mislead people. Be honest at least and stop to share this with upur bogus/dummie analysis until CIG provides more accurate data. They have been fleeing from that for years now. Which raises the suspicious. Of course, my guess is that they will never will share more accurate and meaningfull information because that would be negative and would prove that their counter is just another of their deceptive advertising tools been used to mislead the public that the project is popular and safe, so people feel more comfortable to spend spend their money on it. In my opinion is very sad that Roberts and co. so as many of their followers think that the only way to promote the Space Sim genre is been deceptive, showing data that by itself sounds great but when better analysed is bad (like the number of players and matches) or is simply false and with the intent to deceive... like the number of ships sold, for years pretended and spread by people as if it was the number of individual backers, still used in many discussions to mislead the public... since we always find people talking about 1 million backers... when in fact... if they shared their true data my guess is that they don't pass of 300/400 thousand individual backers... with many having multiple accounts been created along these years.

These figures are meaningless as they don't account for refunds and shill accounts.
But good for them.
Any refunds are far outstripped by the tenthousands of voluntary monthly subscription payments (12 or 24 $) which are also not included. The subscriptions are used to make all those extra developer v-blogs and the JumpPoint magazine.
Those figures have been checked in the past by Guiness Book of World Records people and have been found correct.

Sometimes it's not always about what you can see or hear but what's under the hood of a game that's most impressive. Between those thousands and thousands of lines of code, magic happens. Sometimes the most amazing feats of gaming wizardry happen without you even noticing.

Hang on. Subs? But the game isn't even out yet. What are they subbing to? Dev blogs? You mean those things every other game does for free?
When will you actually be able to but a retail copy of the game? As in a launched product. I wonder if I'll be able to claim the pension before this game comes out. Hmmm.

The subscribers allow CIG to produce the subscriber magazine "Jump Point" (which i can recommend, especially when you look for in-depth development reports) and a multitude of video-blogs and live shows. Much more than comparable other games offer (and yes, I have supported many different crowdfunding games so I have a sufficiently large data base to make a comparison). Subscribers do not sub to dev blogs, they make them possible in the first place in that number and quality. In addition subscribers get various other subscriber gifts - of the nice-to-have decorative item type. Nothing game breaking, nothing you cannot obtain later in game too.
As to the second part of your question - "when its ready".
If you want to have a game that comes out at an exact date set by marketing, no matter the quality or status of testing/development at that time ... may i refer you to great companies such as EA or Ubisoft? They are well known for their well tested, bug-free, balanced, polished and complete products.
When is the damn game coming out? Month and year please. I'm asking for myself and the people who prefer to buy finished products.
I don't want to be a minion or part of a cult to beta test. Just projected release date please.
There's no current date for SC as you certainly are already aware of.
Nobody forces you or anybody to buy one unfinished product, it's as I defend on this, people should buy into it when they fell what the game offers justifies them to get into it, either that is one more complete alpha / beta or the fully released game.

There is no official realease date for Star Citizen.
My personal answer would be "When its ready". And that is okay for me personally. I have seen enough incomplete games pushed out the door to meet an arbitrary deadline ... I hope Star Citizen will not be one of those.
