Greed monger backers will surely be upset as many voted to keep GM under development. You shouldn't have picked it up from appletons hands at the end of the day. Nobody else would of picked up the responsibilities attached to this project and the horrible PR it has gained over the years. The moment you decided to work on another project was the final nail in the coffin to backer and public confidence in you as a company leader and project lead as seeing any type of real progress for Greed Monger was simply not going to happen.
If you had the skill and the professional attitude and came out swinging around the hangouts video with an honest announcement where things truly stood with Greed Monger. Things would have gone in a much more positive way, and much more so if you had a plan in your own hands, and the skill to pump out a small alpha [Proof of concept/Tech-Demo] and offered a clear plan [Downsizing GM and removing that MMO-Tag [Something like that] something significant and realistic with vast changes/improvements in communication.
You could have turned this all around, and you had that one opportunity to show that MMO-I was capable of handling the project by the reigns. But very sadly... You didn't have the skill, or talent on hand to make the arrow hit the target. The arrow missed by a long shot. Over time since the hangouts video you missed shot after shot, and it became abundantly clear that Greed Monger was not in good hands. Such an unfortunate situation for the backers. They are truly shit out of luck.
Again a lesson to be learned here for those who backed this failed project. Don't give backing to shady inexperienced 'developers' that sell buzzwords and crap. It either has a proof of concept [Demo]. [Unless you have real senior experience like[Project Ukulele] in that case throw them your money. Seriously they have a reall nice project; now that is a project I would love to support. Ahem*
You had that chance and you shat on it. You took a spade and kept on digging down down down, all the way down to GMs grave. Not saying closing the book on GM was the right thing to do [Amended my earlier posts lastnight] cause mind you as I made my posts; I failed to mention that I knew jack shit about legal things. Though from my point of view; being honest with YOURSELF and the BACKERS is always the best route to take. Even if they will come to your house with pitchforks (Virtually) speaking.
Now... would you please post the following years after the 1st year chat logs between you and appleton for entertainment purposes? haha. [40% kidding] /Trying to tap out; but your making it hard too! xD
