You're answering our questions now; why aren't you working on the project?
You're focusing on doing requirements for the FTC, a forensic accountant, or an independent executive producer, why aren't you working on the game?
I don't understand why you're announcing a year delay when all we did was ask for a FTC investigation got what we wanted... shouldn't there be transparency and accountability to satisfy our impatience?
I mean, after all, Derek Smart is the best person to listen to about how game technology cannot pull something off when he hasn't been able to do a proper UI; let alone a good game.

"This is the most intelligent, well qualified and articulate response to a post I have ever seen on these forums. It's a shame most people here won't have the attention span to read past the second line." - Anon
The more you and they defend this...the more "some" people will think they(and you as an obvious supporter) are hiding.
In other words you are just being used by Smart and his supporters here as "click bait" as you always call it. Get people to respond enough and people on the outside start feeling that there is something being hidden.
You will never ever get people against this to support anything you say. The same as they will never get you to support them. So only people that could possibly get any benefit from this is the people attacking the game. Keep this going long enough and people that do not know the in's and outs of forums will start talking to people on these points even if they are not true.
In other words...STOP FEEDING THE TROLLS...they can and will eat anything and use it against you when it comes out the other end.
Hi CIG. When the Galactapedia is coming?
Don't worry. They have the answer inside those thousands of answers. Look:
Nov 19 2012
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cig/star-citizen/posts/352301
"We will also be launching new sections which have been in the works for some time: the Galactapedia will tell you more about the Star Citizen world"
Well, considering how many years you've been here and how you've called various games, like Darkfall, vaporware (only to be wrong) you should know that answer:
When it's far enough along in the development cycle (based upon CR and management at RSI). No sooner or later.
You want a hard release date because then that gives you the ability to say, "See, look, vaporware!"
You were wrong in the past. Why won't you learn from your mistakes?
You are a weird one. Turning a sarcastic comment onto more familiar ground to fulfill your starnge fixation about Derek Smart.
Another source of information - "The Reverse the Verse" (Latest Episode: 55) Vblog on the CIG Homepage:
https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/transmission/14843-Reverse-The-Verse-Recap
Some highlights:
* Flying through the new large scale maps takes about 2.5 hours even in a fast ship like the Origin 350R
* Snub fighter MERLIN will soon be flyable.
* Snub fighters cannot be outfitted with quantum drives nor with jump engines
* The Archimedes will be a more luxurious snub fighter compared to the Merlin
* The Hope class hospital ship will be an "Endeavor" class hull, around 200 m long
* Herald will be in Hangar soon.
Here is a more complete list (in German - Google Translator is thy friend ;-)
Zusammenfassung:
If its launching soon this could be a boost.
Did you really post Darkfall as an example? Spot on! I actually followed the hype arround this game and you nailed it: so much hype for nothing. Where is Darkfall in the spectrum of online games?
Yes. People never learn from their mistakes - strike two

Lol I reckon the shares in pampers has sored in the last week. They really are going all out to take the heat away. Even there two squires are looking more desperate every passing day.
Have no fun!
If there's only one thing you can be absolutely sure of at this point, it's the fact that Star Citizen is not "launching soon", lol
Squadron 42 (the single-player game) will launch long before the "Persistent Universe" (SC's MMO part). And there's no release date for Squadron 42 yet...
Galactapedia is clearly very important for SC. It's a key aspect like the fps module. Without it the game can't work. Right ?
From all the hundreds of answers and replies you picked the one regarding an insignificant feature in order to prove what, exactly?
The Galactapedia was scraped very early in the development process as they thought that there is really no need to invest man hours into it. The majority of the lore will be projected within Squadron 42 and the persistent universe.
Keep on digging.
I am wondering how many things they will need to scrap because they dont have enough resources.
SWTOR with its $200M budget also scrapped features and rushed the final year of development. Money isn't infinite.
Btw, CIG is hiring currently, so perhaps the lack of resources will be less of a limiter going forward...

Warum in diesem Thread gepostet ? Weil GameStar (siehe erster Link) hier einiges betreffs Star Citizen und Pay-to-Win erklärt. Viel davon basiert auf den im Thread erwähnten Dev Antworten.

If you read one of the first sections,it is we moved a few people onto that ship and then moved several people onto another ship,it sounds as i expected, they are spending far too many resources surrounding the selling of ships instead of ignoring that aspect and getting the game done. They already have far more than enough ships there should not be one dime or person working on ships anymore,it should be all resources on the game, since that is what the money is for.
What this operation is coming off as is nothing more than you give them money so they can sell you ships back with your money..../sigh.It is basically like a pyramid scheme.

"Will the older "Ask a dev" threads be open again in the future, or are they closed forever ?"
"The old individual dev threads are still here as an archive but there's no way to have threads for 300 different employees. As such, a move was made a long while ago to move to categorized threads so that more than one dev could answer threads that fall under their expertise. The old individual dev threads will be staying closed. "

From what I've seen, Kyleran's stance been "Its all vaporware until its released, regardless who is producing it."
In today's market of crowdsourced low-accountability development with an abysmal track record for deliver, that's one of the most reasonable stances for a gamer to have.
And of all the examples to use - Darkfall?
