given the history of Star Wars games and revial of things we think developers understand (John Smedley) there is every reason to only believe it when you watch reviews on it already having been completed.
if you hype on this you only have yourself to blame if it goes bad.
wait...plus an 'open world' game that has hired a 'writer'?
oh this is going to go badly

I'm more betting on something along the lines of Force Unleashed, or Shadow of Mordor than a KOTOR, or SWTOR.
If they can actually pull off immersion and an open world game, then yes i am all for it and the team behind it does look good.Sadly i just know what to expect, seems developers should change their nameplate fro developer to auto generated games design.
We'll see, let's hope this team can get game design right,i definitely do not want to see anything remotely close to SWTOR,that is cheap game design 101.I want to walk into the game and fell an EPIC feeling like the proudest IP name in the history of man.I want to see and feel Epic battles,Invasions where all the players come together to defend a space station or village/town,yep i want EPICness.
Honest truth,if i see one yellow marker over a npc head,i will not step one foot in the game.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

Boobs are LIFE, Boobs are LOVE, Boobs are JUSTICE, Boobs are mankind's HOPES and DREAMS. People who complain about boobs have lost their humanity.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
oh and by the way...do players even know the Elder Scrolls story? I know I do my best to completely ignore as much of it as possible even though I have about 400 hours of play time in Elder Scroll games

I like that you guys are taking the "let's be negative about it before we know anything about the game and hope to be surprised approach". I'll do the other one, and hopefully we'll meet in the middle.
mmorpg can never be good again

Additionally, Witcher 3 has a story and it's very open world, so is Dragon Age Inquisition.
Of course the Elder Scrolls games are "more" open world and one doesn't have to follow the story but one can if one chooses.
