Even if S42 was originally billed as an addon to Star Citizen proper (I remember it being stated that way intially, honestly I havent followed things to closely) what does it matter? The packs purchased will still be honored as giving access to both, benefit for early adopters. Changes always happen during production, especially for production thats been followed for so long.
We're seeing how the sausage is made people, it isnt pretty, it happened back in the old days too, we just didnt hear about it. Granted the production costs were coming from publishers, not crowdfunding, so as always buyer beware, if you cant afford to lose that money, dont spend it.

Torrenting copyright material isn't theft. Never was. It isn't even a close description. Don't threaten people if you don't know what you're talking about to a very minimal extent. Which is all it takes to understand what it is. It's illegal distribution / sharing / copying of copyright material. The exact opposite of theft. Torrenting does not take a single thing. MPAA , RIAA have lost and definitely had court battles drag out just because of this very issue early on. I am not expressing an opinion on the subject of torrenting one way or another. Lets focus on what matters rather than wasting our live on drivil so with that....why does it matter if its a game 'mode' vs 'stand alone game'
It matters because if you're going to state that you're buying ONE game that encompasses two game modes and you're charging one price, then you follow through with that. But now, instead, they're split into two separate games thereby doubling the price because if you don't back (pledge) you'll end up paying $59.99 for each of the games instead of how it was originally getting both modes included.
