You wrote a blog?? How about you go write some code instead.
Why are you even here?? Shouldn't you be trying to fix "Line of Defense" instead of minding the business of other developers? Almost all of the 128 Reviews are negative! On steam, that is saying something.
Why am I bringing this up? Because you have absolutely no credibility as a developer. Every game I've ever tried that you made is a steaming pile. But we are supposed to take your word on what others can and cannot do?
As for your warning in October...well, they did mention it then..so wow, you're either psychic or you can read.
I am not saying that some of the recent moves of CIG haven't made me cock an eyebrow, but for you to come in here and preach like you have special insight as a developer. SMH
Sorry, Folks. I cannot stand when people with dirty hands talk of the failings of others like their poop doesn't stink.

So instead of playing Elite Dangerous, people would rather put more money into this project and defend CRI no matter what they do. Hate to burst your bubble but Elite Dangerous has already delivered what CRI is attempting and failing.
Please don't drink the Derek Smart kool-aid. ED has nowhere near what what SC will have when finished. BTW It is RSI or CIG and the fact that you keep calling it CRI speaks levels about what you know about Star Citizen.

HOWEVER, Frontier does a much better job and project management timelines and does 'more for less money' at least the best we can tell at this time.
I have mixed feelings about project management. I often think its better to not give dates at all unless you absolutly have to but when you do its professionally bad too miss too many of them and I think SC misses far to many. and their presentations often appear rushed and often dont go well.
Unlike many here I dont think this is an example of deliberate baby killing evilness I just think its doesnt demonstrate a high level of professionalism and should be watched
Please do not respond to me, even if I ask you a question, its rhetorical.

WHEN?!?! By the time SC is finished ED could very well have evolved. When are we talking? 2021? Will the original backers even still be interested in video games? Maybe they can give it to their grandchildren.

in fairness they already have. I said what you just said before Horizons was even thought of as serious. Frontier have stated plans for walking on ships as well. In fact, SC is really following EDs lead on these feature lists to be honest. They are just attacking them in different order.
But who was the first to talk about planetary landing? ED who was the first to talk about EVA? ED who as the first to talk about walking around space stations? ED
however unfortunately for the SC haters all that doesnt mean SC eats babies for breakfast either.

How would you know? We funded RSI they didn't ask for the 107 million dollars we gave it to them end of story. As for Derek Smart he is just ticked because he has yet to come up with a successful game and has been accused of fraud by people that payed for his game and packs on steam. http://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/search/?q=derek+smart
Well it is only in alpha so missed dates happen and that's a fact. Look at all the games that have come out over the past few years that had missed launch dates. Hell Duke Nukem Forever was postponed for a decade. It was no different for Frontier. The only difference is SC has been public knowledge from day one where ED was developed over years in the dark.

How would you know?
wait 'how would I know'?
I pretty much explicitly stated 'how I would know'
I am explicit referring to target dates which I made pretty clear that they miss far to regularly in that post and rushed presentations. 'how would I know' that? did you read what i said?

@SEANMCAD Guess you didn't get the memo (it's ok I didn't either) this thread is for snark and pointless video links.
At least you'd think that by how little actual information is in it.

they just arbitrarily and without sound reason decided to expand the compare of who said what beyond just Frontier and RSI and left the playing field completely open then in all fairness I said about 1/2 of those things long before some of those companies even existed.

First of all I backed the I backed the game way back in 2013 and I have no issue with the pace of development because I have been through alpha tests before that have taken years. The two and a half years SC has been in development is actually a short time but due to the visibility the kids are in a rush because they have no idea the time that goes into developing these games. Hell even the great Raph Koster will tell you development takes time. Even Rome wasn't built in a day.
we are talking about who said when between Frontier and RSI
If you limit options to Frontier and CIG ... then forget my last three posts above. Did not see that limitation in your post (Addendum: because you did not mention any limitations in that post ... but ... thats irrelevant ... so just forget it... Frontier and CIG .. understood)

How long did it take to be destroyed? Speed of progression of development is not the problem here. If the backers who started with this, their money got them into (what is not two games) both sides of things. How was it always a plan to be two games with two buy ins if this was not always the case? In a list of shady moves, this seems like another reason to take a step back and question and wait. 100 mill in and their hands are still out looking for more ways to make more money before they give us a working game. This from a guy who (from what people say here) has never had a business make it.

As long as backers who paid for both games get both games there isn't anything shady about a change to future packages. Now if they changed previous packages we would be talking serious problems.
Companies change the prices of items and packages all the time.

Oculus Rift being a case in point, which still a pre-order sell out in a matter of hours

Probably wont count much to some people, but the reason the project is taking longer to get completed for Star Citizen compared to Elite Dangerous, is that Elite Dangerous doesn't have a point where people actually get out of their ship and walk around first person. Squadron 42 and SC are requiring a lot of MoCap and animation work along with other details that Elite Dangerous developers didn't have to cope with.
Case in point, don't expect SC to be anything like Elite Dangerous. It's got a lot more meat to it than ED.
To me it seems like a big ugly scam. If the money was the problem to finish both "modules", why didnt they STOP , DITCH, THROW IT OUT THE WINDOW the first goal and try to finish instead the other? When they have the money from a finished product- they can continue on whatever they planned as next. This way it looks they just trying to cover all their fees and securing their jobs as long as possible. If they would be honest, they would ditch one project and finish the other. Thats why it seems to me like a big scam, because i bet my ass they could have done that but deceided to deceive people with some dirty lies just to get more money. As CEO of Star Citizen, those funds must pay well.
After 3 years, not a single game is in Beta, yet 100 Mil are gone into their pocket.

First: "This way it looks they just trying to cover all their fees and securing their jobs as long as possible." That is typical of any business. Why should anyone expect them not to do this?
Second: "If they would be honest, they would ditch one project and finish the other." Except that would be dishonest because backers paid for both. Dropping one would be downright wrong.

we are talking about who said when between Frontier and RSI you cant arbitrary change the parameters of the conversation to whatever you like.
But given that you have opened up the door to 'anyone' rather than the clearly implied parameter of RSI and Frontier then in reality
I talked about planetary landing before ANY of those companies did.
now, try to stay on conversation topic. I know following conversational flow can be hard sometimes but putting in effort actually helps
