Directx 12 wont happened anytime soon, it does not work on maxwell,Well it can run it but with ton of problem compared to AMD at the moment,
    that is why it delayed,
Because of Nvidia and their contract they slowing down everything,
they will probably release it when pascal come out.

It shouldn't be surprising that nVidia is late to supporting DX standards. They were late for DX10 and DX11. They can throw around their weight a little complying due to their market share. For instance DX10.1 is what DX10 should have been but nVidia never supported the standard for 2 years. They shouldn't have as much trouble supporting DX12 as they did with DX10. AMDs and nVidias architecture are relatively similar right now. What gives nVidia the performance to watt win right now are the things they didn't include that are needed to support DX12. They also have all that useless proprietary fluff bloating their silicon like nVision and PhysX.

I'm failing to see what any of this has to do with Forza
Well, a quick run down,  Forza is an awesome racing game,  its going to look great on PC,  Microsoft is giving it away for free,  Blueturtle13 likes Forza, and is excited to play it, and it will be available on windows store.  Seanmcad doesn't have windows because he doesn't understand the OS and uses linux and can't play the game, so he is mad at the world that more games don't support less appealing, terrible OS's like whatever ridiculous version of Linux he uses.   The rest is pretty incomprehensible.

TL:DR  Forza is an amazing racing game. People that aren't interested in racing games shouldn't write on for page after page of nonsense so they can convince themselves windows isn't superior.
you got about 90% of that factually wrong.

    1. I have windows
    2. I have never had Linux other than android on my phone
    3. I dont think I can have Forza is a 'free to play title' and I have access to a TON of those if I wished.
    4. I am waiting for Vulkan to show its promise in games (as in actually be in the games) the reevaluatethe performance of Steam Machines, reevaluate my game collection and then decide to switch.

no wonder you struggle understanding the limits of AR..;)

Please do not respond to me, even if I ask you a question, its rhetorical.

Close. He's on Windows, but not using Win10 so he's trash talking giving away Forza for free because Microsoft is only doing it on Win10. So instead he thinks because of this he'll move to SteamOS and it will be as good as Windows gaming. Since he thinks this is true for himself he thinks it will be true for the rest of gamerdom.

The problem with a lot of the discussion is that he's not on Win10 but making statements and judgements about the experience like he knows what he's talking about, which he doesn't.

Microsoft giving away Forza to Win10 users is good for us. There isn't a bad angle to it. I'm not sure how it got spun that way or why anyone would.
you got more of that right then he did.  Here is a few corrections

    1. I dont know if SteamOS will be good for all of gamedom. I just know its the direction I want to go and for me I am waiting for Vulkan API adoption first.

    2. All of this 'you got to own it, consume it, play it until its done' before you know if its something you would like has really really really really really got to stop. It comes off as paid advertisement to go ahead and give money to a developer or manufacturer BEFORE stating whats wrong with it. I dont drive an SUV because I dont want one, I dont have to own one or even drive one to know that.

    3. Forza is a Free To Play game. Its not like a Free To Play game is not something new.

added: The MAIN reason I havent upgraded to Win 10 is that for me specifically and the games I like and what I use my computer for there isnt really an advantage for me so why both with the gaming risk.
