Heres a question...  How is the Oculus Rift working out for you?
I cant get one at the moment which is what I was suggesting about 3 pages ago.

However you are saying that if I buy a GearVR the experience that I am desiring will be the same.

I would like to quote you on that if I can
So you're saying that the RIFT will become more popular than Gear VR because it HAS to be better because it's more expensive and backordered and people who ordered it don't have it yet?
    no I said
'you seem to know a lot about a technology that most people who want it can not get it'

and yes..I dont think that most people who 'want VR' are not that interested in GearVR. GearVR is more for the slightly curious not the people who 'want VR'

but what you are saying is that anyone who 'wants VR' should get a GearVR because the experience will be about the same as an Oculus.

I would like to quote you on that if I may
Yes. 80% of what the rift can do and play at 50% of the cost, thats gear VR.  Quote me all you want, it won't change in the near future.

You're saying that The RIft is successful for those that "want VR" because it's backordered and it "sells out" even if it will be on retail shelves before preorders are fulfilled.

And you're saying that because Gear VR is for the "slightly curious" that .. 80% of the content in rifts store is built for the "slightly curious" not for the people that "want VR"  that's good to know.

Awesome! Thanks that is perfect, I have a nice quote.

I am not saying Oculus Rift will be more successful than Gear VR is. you are the only one who knows how the future is going to hold out on VR which has been by goddamn point the whole time. its too early to pretend like you know what is going to happen in the VR space in the next 12 months. I know I dont try that sillyness its to fucking early

Please do not respond to me, even if I ask you a question, its rhetorical.

You pretty much alluded to 80% of the content that the Rift can play is for "slightly curious" people wanting to know about VR.  That sounds great for all those waiting months on months for a headset that only has 20% of the content geared towards them.

Also the numbers I quote.. they're from the articles of analysts -- items you didn't read.  It also states that in the next 3 years AR will outpace VR nearly 3 to 1 in terms of growth AND sales -- and the current AR market isn't even in a retail state right now.

It's okay though. You'll still have a handful of Rift games left.

you are the one who said the rift can do 80% of what GearVR can. not me.

you: making suggestions about the future of VR

me: not making suggestions about the future of VR and saying that its to early to tell

Agree 100% and I have said it before this technology has not been tested long enough for potential serious health risk. Cornea separation, Brain tumors, Seizures, to name a few. I have heard they ship with a pretty substantial liability waiver and heath risk warnings. Would you drive a car that came with a warning " May explode and burn you to death " we hold zero liability for your death or any injury that may result from anything that happens as a result of our exploding cars.
yep, it's just around longer than most people here i'd say, so be sure to test it some more :)

The 80 percent quote didn't come from me... just another article you didn't read.  From people that are much more informed than you and I.

Me: Telling you what analysts are saying

You:  Living in a fantasy world where VR is popular

If Occulus had only honored all those pre-orders, rather than sending all those units out to retail in Best Buy, you may have gotten yours already.

absolutely no argument from me on that one.

Which is why I think is likely the reason they got a new COO
