If your such a social warrior better for figure our real problems like why USA spends 15 time more money on Army .And how many are stolen in pockets of those in charge... Or why USA bash Russia for killing terrorists .... and so on real life problems
People are starving all over the world and a multitude of organizations claiming to help end this hunger advertise on media outlets regularly. You'd be surprised how little help they give, but no, here in America, it's more interesting to discuss the intricacies of marketing ploys used by game developers, whether intentional or not. Step 1 on how to create a mountain out of a mole hill. Pretend what you are arguing actually matters whether it's true or not.
Indeed, a lot of troubles around the world. It would surely be more productive to spend some time volunteering rather than discussing with other gamers on a gaming news website.

How dare we discuss video game related things on a video game forum!
You're both right. We should discuss gaming on a gaming forum. My point however was how insignificant this thread and / or topic really is. This isn't the only thread like this mind you. This website if full of useless discussions, but I guess if you enjoy debating over something that truly doesn't matter whether it was intentional or not, than by all means, you do that. As for me... I've got a pot of boiling water to stare at.
Everyone is taking the word "Mature" and thinking the oposite is Inmature when in this case I don't see it. Everyone must admit that MMOs of today (Including BDO) are a clickfest and very different than the MMOs of yesteryear that seemed to have a more RPG feel to them. When Caspian was talking about Mature players I think he was talking about players that have been around the block, players from the golden age of MMOs from back in the day, much like himself. These players appreciate the hardships associated with a true MMO from the day and the time and effort investment that was truely required. I remember, nah , we won't go down memory lane here.
Elyria is not your typical MMO so many have a hard time grasping that fact. The player base is not your typical community either. Its odd, for some reason there is No Drama or Bashing in the forums, hmm, reminds you of anywhere? Most of the community knows what to expect and have a deeper understanding of the mechanics they are going for. So when suggestions of opinions are offered no one else jumps down their throat about the matter, they may disagree but definately no drama.
Anyway, enough of feeding the tolls for one day. Those that pulled out really didn't plan on playing the game anyway (actually are you going to miss $25 over the next year? No.). Those that feel insulted are just looking for another angle to which to attack, and to what ends? Do you actually think your complaining will make Caspian say, Oh No, now we Must launch on steam? No. So I don't understand the negativity on a daily basis over this game. If you want to play, great, then pledge or wait for the launch if you are worried about a finished product. If you don't, then move on down the road, there are plenty of other games out there for you.
Why even direct Steam players to their kickstarter page if they want more mature players?

The Steam community is immature, the vocal ones anyway. The whole system has devolved into brigading and mob mentality.

Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?
Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.
