Ok I am not into ego so I will admit Xbox stating they made $400 million off of Halo 5 was not the same as the game by itself making $400 million. Even though they presented it as such, which is a little misleading. Yet you are wrong in stating that OW is the best selling FPS in first week sales. Multiple Call of Duty games have sold more than Overwatch. So it is a stale mate. I was wrong and so were you. Now lets move along now

I think the part you're missing is that he's saying title Y had good sales on platform B, which is pertinent to the point of another game selling X amount on multiple platforms. That's no reason for such heated rhetoric, Halo 5 as a game isn't the point in that really, it's just for perspective. Would it be better to use COD: Black Ops earning 650 million in it's first 5 days? 30 mil copies in total over it's lifespan?

I'm a believer and never thought I would find a game that took Unreal Tournament's place in my gaming life but Overwatch did it in a big way.
Would you have told me, before I tried the open beta because friends did too, that I would buy and enjoy another first person shooter, I'd have laughed. So I'm in the same boat, and it's really a fun ride. Played up to 00:30 again last night again... 28 hours played so far, level 37, not seeing the end of fun

You should try playing more with your friends and never leave games. You get bonus exp for being a group and for doing consecutive matches to the point where it does't matter whether you win or lose.

If not for widowmakers and tracers assets I would bet many who bought it would not of even known it existed, including me. That's all that really sets it apart from that gearbox game I can't even remember the name of, if that game has the characters and graphics of OW I would of bought it in a second.
God people are so jealous of Blizzard. They hate Blizzard so they get upset when Blizzard does well. They forget the polish and quality product they put out. Yes Blizzard deserves the success because they work for it. Yes they have the money too to advertise and guess what the money comes from putting out quality products. So its a continuous cycle that comes from spending money to make money.
Even if I might not be playing this game because I cannot play FPS I am so happy to see millions of players enjoying themselves because if you don't have fun why play.
