Irth online has a chance, and let me just say the graphics are shaping up much better than I had thought, and they are getting better with every spin of the globe. Ok, can someone PLEASE explain to me where you are getting the idea that Irth Online has good graphics? I am looking at the screenshots on their official website which is THEM advertising and this is the kinda stuff I am seeing:

I wouldn't way GW has the best engine, but I will give them a ton of credit for coming up with a very light streamline design. They gave everyone a very limited set of heads too choose from so they could cache all textures and player models ahead of time which greatly improves gameplay performce. This game would be outstanding for raiding and such like is done in EQ 1 simply because it could handle the heavy load VERY well. Yes everyone looks the same but the terrain is very visually appealing and the game runs smooth as glass.
For best graphics I have to say EQ 2 still, however for most efficient design I would say GW would be leading the ranks by a long stretch.

Eve as beautiful as it is I really don't think can get credit. Simply because there are no player models, all toons are just ships that exactly like every other ship of that faction and model and the rest is just stars and planets that you can never get close enough too to see any detail too. Eve has some of the most easily achievable graphics I have ever seen for an MMO.

I will completely agree with you, however when marketting pukes put out screenshots generally they try to put out the best of the batch and ones that appear better then the others.
There is NOTHING redeeming about a screenshot like that, you have to give some level of merit too what you see. To say the screenshots they have posted are completely without merit would be fooling yourself. Most people I beleive do check out screenshots of a game when they are checking it out before they buy it. Screenshots CAN sell a game, and I haven't seen a game make screenshots like this in quite some years.

I don't think they've bothered updating their screenshots since alpha. Do you remember WISH? Did you see WISH? They bought those graphics. WISH was beautiful and so IRTH will be because its the same code, same models, same trees, same land. WISH had 2 big issues as to why it didnt succeed. Neither of them were its graphics. I remember when i was testing WISH you'd hear people come on and say "Wow, this is some beautiful work! Hey how do i get 1st person? WTF IS THIS GAME ALL POINT AND CLICK!" the response was always "yup its gorgeous isnt it. you cant get first person and yes its PnC but you'll actually get used to it rather fast" Irth isnt PnC. Irth has 1st person. Irth has realm vs realm pvp. Irth has quests, crafting and pve. Irth even has a race for people who dont like pvp that cant be attacked. Irth has everything a game needs to be good and to be successful. I'm not certain whether or not i'll be playing it because basically the game isnt done yet so the jury is still out. I'm sure leaning towards it though.

Although im not really really keen on the game if you got the machine and the card to handle it EQ2 definately rules the roost on graphics and engine, but you do need a huge machine to get all those effects maxed out, GW is very nice too though, WoW is cool in a quirky way

Did i say the graphics were lacking or that the game was crap? Everybody has their own opinion. Mine is that GW is crap. I know i'm in the minority but its still my opinion.
You posted it in a thread where the topic was about the graphics quality of a game. You posted you felt guild wars was crap, therefore stating that the graphics in guild wars is "crap". kk i tryd there like i said here's my conclusion: i played for a few hours chatted a bit (nice to chat yeah sure) got herassed a few times and i had some SM-girl (proboply a guy in real-life aswell) following me all over the world saying naughty things and making me puke, well that aint fun is it?.
