My first MMO ever was UO (Second age) and loved that genre even now, but this game is just 10 years too late, people dont want these graphics with a gameplay you need to write/talk to every npc (and yes you need to talk to an npc like you talk to your fellow players by using the chat), also the buggy controls and combat arent fun to play with.
Is there anything we can do? Seems the "Limited" part in "Limited Free Trial" was an understatement.

Thats just mean. Also Garriot needs to just stop.
to bad because mmo´s need to be moar!
Not after the disaster that was Tabula Rasa. That was all on him.
Richard Garriott is like so many others an overrated one trick pony long forgotten.

Kyleran on yours sincerely
'But there are many. You can play them entirely solo, and even offline. Also, you are wrong by default.'
Ikcin in response to yours sincerely debating whether or not single-player offline MMOs exist...
'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.
It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.
It is just huge resource waste....'

Loved the Viking link, if you look at the others they are all the same just different color. you would think 3200 would get you something really unique.
Armor - Armor you buy is for looks. Armor you make is much much better so its not a pay to win feature. Same with items etc
Store - Im pretty sure everything in there is cosmetic.
I like the combat system
Graphics are no worst than anything out there if not better. to many games these days are graphic intensive but crap gameplay / longevity.
Lots of exploring - no quest here icons you actually have to converse etc. Lots of hidden areas / items / locations and more to come.
Areas that are being developed are clearly marked.
Combat is fine - until we all get googles super internet access I dont see that changing anytime soon.
Only negative - right now it can be a grind. But as things progress it should be less and less of a grind

Win 10
Armor which is store bought does not wear out like armor you make in game and does not drop when you are killed in PvP.
Store item, patterns - limited transmog for items. If an item wears out from degrading you can't recover the look, yes you get them in packs of 6 or something but still "Limited" and if you PvP and item drops and you don't have enough to pay ransom you loss it.
Store item, housing lots - Don't want to win a raffle for a lot you can bypass this grind with a item.
Store item, COTO - Item that can be used to restore a worn out item that doesn't have useful durability left, buy Potions that last for 7 Real Life days that effect the amount you can carry, the amount your weapon/armor gets damaged from mobs or how much focus it takes to run. Basic core systems in any game so these are P2W way of bypassing skill gains.
Combat - Card based(random system) of you hoping you get skill that you want, can use, or stack up where if you used locked deck you have longer cool downs (just added cooldowns to the deck system this patch) and won't have nearly as powerful spells as a deck build from stacking/combos but also people with deck builds have to constantly watch what comes up so they know what to stack and not watch for mobs attacks/aoe/etc so if they do then your running around not knowing what your going to get. In Jan's patch they were to add in new skills/spells but did not. Did not add in the guns and ammo system so no real balance is yet done.
Graphics - Really a memory hog and they say its cause they need to load everything in memory because no LOD is done.
Not a lot of exploring to do they added a blue glow to show who is next in line for your quest lines. Not hard to find it now. Yes no "yellow" ! but still they show you were to go now.
The zone sizes are small because one players PC is really running the zone your in, you if your in single player mode or if in open someone with lowest ping to Ports servers will. Port's servers are just for Inventory/Lot/Items not for combat or AI that is all done on whoever is the zones "host".
Grind is in game and planned now they want to keep it. No caps so someone playing 40+ hours a week will always be more powerful then someone playing 10 hours per week. Str/Dex/Int do have limits on them but if they get to those limits and raise their skills more then you can they will almost always win against someone who spends 1/4 the time so this means if you want to PvP you better be willing to grind and grind and grind. This doesn't talk about the crafting grind which a lot of people were able to bypass and get skill gains because of bugs and issues since persistence and they did NOTHING to remove those ill gotten gains and some of those bugs were posted Day 1 of the patch with the bug and let to sit for the entire month with people using that to get skills.
