Remember that steam offers refunds for under 2 hours played time.
thats my advice for anyone considering purchasing.
Yeah it's a good get out clause, but I'm really looking forward to it. The JPN version was decent enough to get me interested so I doubt i'll be refunding. A player can't judge the game on the basis of just 2 hours anyway.
Actually, you can, and people do it all the time, for even 2 minutes. I think that's my personal record. It's not my duty to give a game a chance. Developers should realize the importance of making a product that draws you in and put their best foot forward.
holy fuck so much crying about a simple thing. both pvp and pve are amazing, stop separating. i was mainly a pvp player then i changed to pve and i saw how much i have totally missed. now i play both because both are nice and none of them is worth missing out. playing ONLY one is limiting half the content of the game for u... these pvers here crying... i have no words for u "me play online game only to play pve waa waa waaaaa "
I don't know if you have been around MMOs long enough to know but these Korean open world games have a lot of the stuff (quality of life or QOL) PvErs like to do, which sadly all the shitty pve MMOs (from GW2, ESO and WoW) do not for some reason.
I enjoy PvP like I always have as long as there is no P2W involved. I also like running my hunter/gatherers or just afk crafting minus the griefing. Back when I played SWG I for real knew folks who did nothing but craft or entertain, some did not participate in combat at all because you could do that. I ran an artisans afk sampling for weeks in the wilds myself, but I also had a Bounty Hunter to hunt down player Jedi bounties, as well as a Jedi. It made for a super diverse community. I remember the great 100+ battles between Bestine and Anchorhead to Mos Eisley back in the day, tef riding out the cloners ect, 100mil in broken gear from one night of of messing around, all fun and I wouldn't want it any other way. Not everyone is down with that though.
We most likely will never see another game like Galaxies again, for now as close as you can get are these Korean MMOs. So while you may feel it's limiting to allow people to only do PvE, others don't. As long as the choice to PvP isn't taken away, why should it mater to you? People complained for a year on the BDO forums over the same issues, they finally fixed the issue of locking the owpvp behind the level 50 quest like the original Korean version, because god forbid some people just want to spend their time in this game fishing.
The one thing that might not be so bad for those who want to play it and are unsure of the PvP aspects, the is faction based. Join a guild and hang with friends who can help you along. I still don't like the idea that they gated PvE players with a paywall. But whatever, it will either fail or flounder at this point.
This is not a pve game I don't understand all the whining. If all you want is a pve game then go play any single player game out there . Pvers are just luckly most mmorpgs have pve elements to them, period. But most like 95% are not designed around the over it's just a fact of life in this day and age.personally I think it's retarded to have a game where I can not engage in combat unless given permission to engage or strictly instances based. But I do however agree that safe zones need to exist . Well enough about that and on to my actual comment.
In the interview they mention housing this is great news as before there was no mention of it and I was really turned off by this game bit I would like to know more about the housing other then the veg mention of it. Such as.. will housing be instance based or will housing be anyhwere? Or in designated housing areas? Like in Archeage for example. Also will there be any purpose to the house like farming livestock ect..? Or will it be for storage and cosmetic reasons only . What other metrics or purpose will the housing entail . I personally would prefer no instanced housing like in star wars galaxies or archeage for example.. will housing require taxes to be paid . How in depth will the housing system be or will it be a facade?
You don't understand the complaints? Neowiz and the Bless team desperately want PvE money because PvP gamers aren't going to float the expensive loan this game took out. So they're trying to court PvE gamers for money while trying to placate them with virtual platitudes and a more expensive game bill. They're not giving them a pve experience. There giving them the ability to not be attacked in a pvp environment. That's two very different things. Plus the end game cash shop tax for pve pills will not go over. PvE players aren't going to get converted to PvP. That's a ludicrous expectation.
You're right though, pve players should skip this title altogether if they can't deal with those terms. People with a certain play style preference shouldn't expect a game to change its design to accommodate them. We see the same thing in games where pvp is weak or non-existent. The pvp players come out of the woodwork with all sorts of wild salty claims.
Maybe pve gamers are interested in magi-tech and robo mecha blended with traditional fantasy. That's not a common setting the way it's being presented in Bless. So it seems reasonable some pve players would show interest.
THis is one of the worst analysis I;ve ever readon this website. It is so overly opinionated on things the poster has not a single clue about that the entire thing could be dubbed trolling.
1. You have access to Neowiz financials ? 2. "Pve players should skip it" on nothing more then self important internet forum opinions ? Get real. 3. "Wild salty claims" woah pot meet kettle 4. Anyone who spams a anti pvp pill is an idiot ,the pill is doing nothing more then most bad pvpers do, and that is flee running for the hills with an instant escape.
These kinds of posts are getting very very very tiring and I'm out of ignores.
Of course these are my opinions. Did the contrary opinion touch your sensitive nerves? I'm not wrong. I mean you didn't actually counter any of the opinions. You just lashed out because you didn't like that I gave them.
1. Neowiz has spent buttloads of cash building and then rebooting the game.
2. PvE players should skip the game. I still hold that opinion. Why should a pve player play a pvp game? For one thing, they're not really pve players at that point are they? They may have been closet pvp players. Even that is a stretch. Real pve players won't be converted.
3. I hope you see the irony in posting this. You get really salty when people don't see life through you view. Try taking off the orange colored glasses. They're like rose colored glasses only worse.
4. Thank you for finally realizing the truth which supports my opinions in points 2 and 3. I'm beginning to wonder if you just like being angry and taking it out on people even when they agree with you.
Please do feel free to ignore me and my posts. And I care....... why? (protip: I don't)
you did it again, used opinion as fact, that is called trolling
Would you f#$%ing stop? You literally did what you claim to hate when talking about Bless/Crowfall art style. You pawned off your opinion as fact and even mixed in some blatant falsehoods to go with it.
You know what's better than blocking everybody who doesn't agree with you?
Ah shit, they probably have me blocked too. Never mind.

From what I understand the bless that will be released on steam will be diff from bless rebuild.
Not much. According to them the "biggest new features players will find is localization, including a full voice over for English and a new combat system."
But, like someone already said, the combat was always the least of Bless' problems.
Our goal was nothing less than rebuilding the combat system to make it very different from the one currently in Bless Online. We will be releasing this revamp to the Steam version first and we are confident that the changes will make the wait worth it
He’s also creating different costumes and equipment that will be shipping with the Steam version.
we are currently focusing on the development of four components that will transform Bless before Early Access. - Growth: in addition to providing further vertical growth for players, we want to provide goals for horizontal growth (exploration of new content rather than just leveling upwards, etc) while minimizing repetitive experiences - Optimization: provide a pleasant gaming environment - Combat: break away from repetitive combat patterns, making combat fun and rhythmic - UI/UX: provide an intuitive and unified UI that creates a positive user experience
The current skill system works through players improving their skills by investing skill points, but in the future players will be able to diversify their combat style by choosing which skill effects to grow and how to make their skill combos.
In addition, the cooperative aspects will be more interesting with the addition of special buff effects that vary depending on the party members’ classes.
We are also preparing a lot of other content not mentioned above, and we will share further details on improvements through later Dev Talks.
Bless Online Team: There will not be separate PVE or PVP servers, but we understand that many players do not wish to partake in PVP until it’s on their own terms. To help with this, there will be a consumable item that players can buy in-game to make them non-PVP enabled. This will work all the way to the level cap, last for a time, and has no cooldown. At the level cap, the item will still be obtainable, but via the Cash Shop
Good news for pvers
Good news would be a way to opt out of PvP indefinitely with no associated cost.
This news can be anywhere from meh at best to ridiculously bad. It will depend on how much this option costs, what type of currency is required to buy it (game earned or purchased), and how long it lasts.

until max level ingame gold and last 10 min
at max level cash shop currency (u can earn currency doing ingame activities , and guess what bless endgame is? yep PVP lol , im sure u will be able to do PVE content too , but im sure it will take more time is a win-win )
What blows my mind every time with this forum, the treadmill arguement that someone who is paying 15 dolla month for server access aka pay to win, and the person who buys a item in a shop for almost the exact same effect.
You people, and yah I said it, you people don't know what the fuck to think because it seems you are just bad at mmos in general. Not trolling at all, but I rarely read people who are good at gaming complain about items in an item mall.
Almost think it is redundant to even point out how hypocritical those kinds of posts are, but I did it anyway. Let me get a screenshot of pay to win bdo , brb.
It doesn't have to be blatantly obvious when a game has P2W mechanics. If you think BDO can't be abused with the sales of marketplace items in exchange for in-game currency, that's right, you heard me, IN-GAME CURRENCY. The same shit you use to buy PvP gear with which, I might add, is NOT cheap. If you need an example, gear that goes for 100 million to the average player has been non stop selling to pre-orders for 400-500 million. I don't know about you, but I certainly don't have 500 million silver laying around. Not to mention the 1-2 billion silver it would cost to bypass the grind to acquire the mats needed to upgrade said item to TET or PEN.
You can deny a game as P2W because everyone has access to the same items, but the problem is, when it could literally take 2+ years to get gear people simply PAY for in a matter of months is still P2W.
EDIT: No, I'm not a clown. I'm also not a delusional white knight who can see game monetization for what it is. PvP games with cash shops that sell advantages to either, stats, XP gain or in-game currency are P2W. I'm not going to sugar coat it with the Pay 2 Advantage nonsense, cause I'm tired of being politically correct.
You are lucky, I've reached max ignores. If those are what you call p2w, I got nothing. Convenience items exist in every mmorpg, I guess you hate the genre.
Really sounds like you aren't being successful in the game and blaming p2w.
For my "p2w" costume, was like 36mil in the market. 36mil is a drop in the bucket in bdo.
If you come back , after reading some relevant posts from there , and yet you are still saying that BDO is not P2W, then don't bother.
I will leave this here :
"Pay for convenience" is a way people have to negate/hide p2w features. You are effectively buying silver and time, which in my book means pay to win. I don't care that you can "get it anyways". If you wanna go by that logic might as well sell 550 GS lvl 62 characters on the pearl shop and call it pay for convenience, I mean, you can get them w/o spending a dime anyways!
Pay for convenience is a term that applies to very, very little things, such as stable slots, brand stones, and honestly I can't think of many items that don't actually mean getting more silver on the long run, other than piercings and glasses.
Memes are the one thing that limit my enhancing right now, if I had artisans I would end up saving lots of hours worth of scrolls and hundreds of millions worth of silver."
&
"My memory fragments are 3 times more effective than yours because I have money.
My CP is more effective than yours because I have money.
My cooking time is better than yours because I have money.
My processing is more efficient because I have money.
I could go on... more gear = stronger character = PvP advantage. You can pay to speed up your progression, which in the end means you get a PvP advantage. It's not very hard to understand. You need a fuckton of memes for each PEN attempt, if you pay you can divide that by 3, meaning you save billions. W/o artisans you have to do 3 times as many relics as the p2w player which means you'll have to spend, on the long term, hundreds of hours more than the other guy to be on his level.
BDO is still good compared to other games on this matter, since on many games you can straight up buy your gear from the market, but it doesn't make it not p2w, it's just not as bad as others. Here you don't buy your gear, but just make it easier to get, which is still p2w."
Reporter: What's behind Blizzard success, and how do you make your gamers happy? Blizzard Boss: Making gamers happy is not my concern, making money.. yes!
To all you PvPers, I wish you the best and hope there are enough of you to keep this game afloat. You're right in that there are plenty of other PvE focused games for me to play, which is what I will be doing. My guess is, only the people not financially invested in BDO, ArcheAge or other similar games to Bless will be joining you.
My prediction is this game will maybe compare to ArcheAge in popularity and that BDO will still reign supreme in the Asian PvP focused grindy P2W cash shop games. With that being said, I do believe this game will suffer early on which is why P2W is inevitable. Hell, it only took BDO 2 weeks after launch before they started adding P2W elements in their cash shop, despite their plea before launch that they wouldn't. All these Asian grinder PvP games are one gimmicky production after another. FFXI and FFXIV have been their only saving graces and both of which I might add were far superior in popularity than any of the PvP focused games.
Ciao!
Thanks man, on behalf of PVPers that live in my house we appreciate your passive aggressive jabs with the best wishes thinly layered on top. We're probably going to mess around with Bless until the devs/pubs inevitably f#$% it up and then move on to Crowfall if/when it launches because we think ArtCraft gets "it" w/ OWPVP.
My prediction is you'll someday find happiness when developers make an open world MMORPG with cool instanced/un-instanced dungeons, world raid bosses, gathering, crafting, trade and commerce. We'll probably play that too.
Good luck to you!

Yes no thank you is my answer as a PVE player. You want to screw me over in the cash shop....sayonara and good luck with that. Oh sorry I should say an nyoung and good luck with that.

lol well imagine if PKrs had to pay real money to PK in this game? The shit storm would be tremendous. Thing is I see most of the PvE players saying no thanks and quietly walking away, like they did with Albion and Darkfall, BDO and like they will do with Corwfall. I will say that after about a year and a drop in PvE playerbase they finally fixed the level 49 quest in BDO.

If you haven't noticed, most of the biggest social media sites have been racketeering data and manipulating public opinion in all forms shapes and sizes , ergo facebook.
The day that I use reddit for anything , specially to support a my own personal opinion, Armageddon will have happened and reddit was the last operating website in the galaxy.
It is beyond my own capability to understand why people must bend the game to fit their idea instead actually picking up a game and bending to the games ideals. Its a game, you can play it, or fucking leave, there is no need to for long drawn out posts of emo central on why something doesn't work because someone isn't good at it.
..amazing! Conspiracy theorist at his best !
If someone has something against your beloved game, then bam .. fake news, fake everything, manipulation, etc.
Go ..play your game.

The PvE in this seems fair to me. Can easily avoid PvP. I played on a PvP WoW server and didn't PvP at all outside of BG, so it shouldn't be much different.
This is going to be the closest thing to Lineage 3 we may ever see, I'm excited for it
A:IR looks 100 times better tbh.
The publishers behind bdo are publishing this one aren't they?
yep
And the PvP in this game looks like it might be a lot like Aion was, which was a great game in it's time.
Aion was an amazing game for its time. I think it was Cry engine too and so nice looking. It was one of the first mmos to offer such detailed character customization. I thought the spiritmaster was a lot of fun.
Oh how I miss Aion. It is my 2nd most favorite ever game.
Ironically , at first, I played till around lvl 32 or so , then I quit ( in the first month ) because it was kinda lacking content. Came back when 1.9 was live and I also saw news about 2.0 , which was one of the best updates ever.
I really hope Bless will manage to bring some good times back into my MMO pleasure. Beside WoW, no other game has given me that after I left Aion because NcSoft idiotic move, to sell EU to gameforge (!!!).
So! Please Bless, be awesome !!

Most people who played Bless that I know of have already written off the game, not sure if they are hoping for something along what FFXIV did but I don't see it happening, FF is a big name and easier to come back from the dead.
Wish them the best but how they outlined the cash shop doesn't sound so good.

The Cash Shop ? How exactly , because it's clearly that you are just throwing words.
And..you are right that FF is a big name and it was easier to come back, but .. first FFXIV was released in EU/NA before the "reboot". Here, we have Bless, never before seen in EU/NA ( officially speaking ) , with a new combat system and with new and updated features. And as they said, we will see them first time in Steam launch , meaning neither KR nor JP have them ( at least is how I am reading it ) .

Charging people to avoid PVP is some hilariously cruel shit I'd dream about doing to folks who won't steer clear of OWPVP games only to cry about ganking and PK'ers.
Anybody who takes that blatant insult to your participation in Bless and still signs up has battered carebear syndrome.

BLESS: prevent the tempt of being P2W.

BLESS: Boosts.
Pick one.

- Growth: in addition to providing further vertical growth for players, we want to provide goals for horizontal growth (exploration of new content rather than just leveling upwards, etc) while minimizing repetitive experiences
- Optimization: provide a pleasant gaming environment
- Combat: break away from repetitive combat patterns, making combat fun and rhythmic
- UI/UX: provide an intuitive and unified UI that creates a positive user experience
Good news would be a way to opt out of PvP indefinitely with no associated cost.
This news can be anywhere from meh at best to ridiculously bad. It will depend on how much this option costs, what type of currency is required to buy it (game earned or purchased), and how long it lasts.
at max level cash shop currency (u can earn currency doing ingame activities , and guess what bless endgame is? yep PVP lol , im sure u will be able to do PVE content too , but im sure it will take more time is a win-win )
Blizzard Boss: Making gamers happy is not my concern, making money.. yes!
My prediction is you'll someday find happiness when developers make an open world MMORPG with cool instanced/un-instanced dungeons, world raid bosses, gathering, crafting, trade and commerce. We'll probably play that too.
Good luck to you!
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Only 10min?! that's waay to short... =/
Yes no thank you is my answer as a PVE player. You want to screw me over in the cash shop....sayonara and good luck with that. Oh sorry I should say an nyoung and good luck with that.
And the PvP in this game looks like it might be a lot like Aion was, which was a great game in it's time.
If someone has something against your beloved game, then bam .. fake news, fake everything, manipulation, etc.
Go ..play your game.

Blizzard Boss: Making gamers happy is not my concern, making money.. yes!

Anybody who takes that blatant insult to your participation in Bless and still signs up has battered carebear syndrome.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I have to pay money to not be harassed by PvP? No thank you.
