You want to show some hype? Get the other 19,739 people that are supposed to be active in your Discord every day to come join the forums here and Hype the game. Not just a drive by vote, but actually engaging the community here. That would show something.
Maybe if you give them a reason to want to engage with people like you they would consider it, but looking at your posts... they have none.
Look at the way you act towards people.. only someone that was as much an asshole as you are would even bother to respond to you.
Egotism is the anesthetic that dullens the pain of stupidity, this is why when I try to beat my head against the stupidity of other people, I only hurt myself.

I will make one last attempt here since the thread is about the Hype Meter:
You were the one who decided to bring up other games as your gauge for how successful AoC is going to be causing that whole side tangent.
You yourself gave these numbers: 400,000 registered accounts. 20k active daily Discord users who share articles such as going to vote for the Hype Meter. There are a total of 261 Hype votes for AoC. Is 261 out of 400,000 showing a lot of hype? Is 261 out of 20,000 ACTIVE DAILY Discord members showing a lot of hype? What exact conclusions should I draw from the fact that 261 out of 400,000 registered people cared enough to come vote?
You want to show some hype? Get the other 19,739 people that are supposed to be active in your Discord every day to come join the forums here and Hype the game. Not just a drive by vote, but actually engaging the community here. That would show something.
Right now 261 out of 400k or 20k shows me nothing. Nothing positive. Nothing negative. It's meaningless.
I never gave my opinion on the main point of this thread - the hype meter. My stance on it is it's dumb and I couldn't care less. I'm involved in the community enough to know the game won't be a ghost town on launch. My main gripe in this thread about hype has been people saying the hype is from bots and is manufactured when that's clearly not the case if you just look at how active our discord and forums are. As for thinking AoC people should come hang out in this forum, why don't you people stop attacking them for being fans with low post counts first? This place has not exactly been welcoming or at all interesting in terms of discussion.
Hint: If I have to scroll 5 times to get to the bottom of a wall of text I generally skip it.
Sometimes the level of fanboyism is so extreme any attempt to penetrate it is largely futile.
You guys are just straight up delusional here. Not even 5 posts earlier you both were writing novels yourselves as anti-fanboys. At least Jahlons rant is based in reality and facts, not just feelings.

Trying to use logic and reason with Slapshot is a futile effort.. as you can clearly see, and make no mistake, no matter what you say, he will never get it, or ever view himself as the problem.

If by that last bit you mean that not everyone is going to be hyped for your particular favorite game or crowdfunding in general, you're right, and you and anyone else who can't handle such dissenting opinions about said topics should stay on the official forums.
If, instead, you understand that this isn't a specific game or crowdfunding fansite and, as such, you may run into those who dislike said game or crowdfunding in general, then this is a great place to hang out.

That's because they don't dislike a non-existent game; they either dislike those who are creating the game (i.e. folks who dislike CR's scope creep tendencies), or they dislike the methods by which the creators are attempting to fund or build the game (i.e. crowdfunding or spending substantial staff resources merely gaming up a way to skim more cash before any game has even been made).

Naw, go with the first answer.
If it was a discussion, I'd fully agree with you, but you're gonna tell me that that this does not look like a rancid pissing contest of hate being spewed from some of these members towards games and their development teams.
