You guys laughing do realize it’s going to be an earlier / younger version of Geralt right? Makes sense that he’d be cleaner.
You even realize that Geralt has arround 100 years old? knowing that Ciri is present that series, wich mean he at least have arround 80 years old.... so before show off, try to at least do some research about what your talking about. lol
What was their budget? I mean, I have no problem with Cavill, that hair though.....holy smokes that's bad.
It could be that most of their budget went to getting Cavill (fan or otherwise). If you look at Robert Downey Jr. playing Iron Man, he's usually paid x5 more than everyone else, even Hemsworth and Evans who were reportedly the top 2 under Downey.
Netflix is all over the place and things could go either way.

Well at least this actress is pretty and could pass for a sorceress who uses magic to look good. Boobs and freckles, cute smile. Yeah she has the iconic Triss weapons. Still cant wrap my head around Yen casting. That one is a disaster.
Now this is speculation , but ironically I would say the majority of people that played the Witcher series did not read the books, And thats the demographic they should be targeting
So I get he was supposed to be a younger Geralt... But Cavill just looks too innocent for the role based on that pic.
I fully expect them to change his makeup before the actual show comes out. It looks like they just threw on a wig really, nothing else was done I don't think.
You do realize this is from an earlier part of hi....oh why bother fragile minds will just continue laughing at this representation even though we don't know what the actual final result will be yet.
Seems like most of the people commenting have never read the books.
The books didn't put Geralt on the map, and the fanbase of the book won't be enough to warrant their own Netflix show.
Sorry, but this is one instance where staying "true to the book" will alienate the very fanbase that would keep the show alive.
Only outside of Poland is that really the case.
Was the same said of Lord of the Rings? The books were known but the movies made them even more popular. So should everything after that be made based on what was in the movies and not the books?

Make her hair red and, assuming she can act, she could do it.

If the show is any good...the end.
