The launch of Fallout 76 has been fraught with issues and complaints from the community. Over two weeks after launch, the headaches for Bethesda just keep coming. The latest kerfuffle is centered around the $200 Power Armor Edition of the game that was packed with all sorts of goodies including a helmet and a spiffy canvas bag...at least theoretically. Buyers have been shocked to find that, on receiving the Power Armor Edition, the canvas bag had been replaced by a cheap nylon bag.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If the game was actually half decent, no one would have cared if the bag was made of paper.
I hope they learn from this mess.
500 atoms is not worth $5 because 5 dollars is REAL money, atoms are 100% worthless,it is virtual currency. If you went to a bank machine and it gave you 500 atoms, you wouldn't be happy.
So here,we scammed you on the items ,here take this virtual currency.
So a cardboard game disc, now this scummy switcharoo, this Bethesda or whomever is behind this crap is seriously not caring one bit about feedback just as they didn't before launch ignoring feedback.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
1. Pre-Order Games.
2. Buy Collector's Editions of a game I haven't tried yet.
I see all the shit happening online with players being disappointed game after game, because the game they pre-ordered didn't deliver what they expected, and in this day and age all, I wonder why they haven't learned already.
These days, I just wait for the games to come out, and usually buy them a few weeks (or months) after their release. New games are always super buggy at first and it takes a little while for the developers to sort this out. If public opinion and performance of the game is positive very early on and I'm excited about the game, then I might get it within the first 2 weeks. If it's a mess, but I'm interested to play it, I'll just wait for it to go on sale or I'll just skip the title altogether.
Basically, I'm voting with my money. It's why I haven't bought an EA game for quite some time, because the only thing I trust EA to do is to deliver subpar games with creative ways to screw their players out of their money.
I'm fine with Bethesda games having some bugs, though I've never personally experienced many in their games, but seeing the fiasco that is FO76, I'll most likely just never buy it and when TESVI comes out, I'll wait a bit before I consider whether I should buy it or not.
That's all for the player benefit, you know.
I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.
Priceless...
No personal responsibility anymore, sheesh.
mmorpg junkie since 1999
Bethesda is no longer the company that brought landmark titles. They've rested on their laurels, and now open world games on par with or greater than Skyrim and Fallout 4 are practically saturating the market. Bethesda hasn't kept up with the rest of the industry, and now we're seeing the results of that.
“Microtransactions? In a single player role-playing game? Are you nuts?”

They only want the absolute best for their fans.
As far as the bag goes I'm not a big "collector's edition" kind of gamer but for 2 bills i would expect a little better quality.
Aloha Mr Hand !
Not true. As a collector's edition...umm, collector, I would have been pissed by this change. I've heard people on other boards make comments about CEs always being different than advertised, but that is far from my experience.
I want a mmorpg where people have gone through misery, have gone through school stuff and actually have had sex even. -sagil
1 - Release inferior product that draws backlash from loyal customers
2 - Insert Foot (A) into Mouth (B)
For example:
1 - Tease a new Diablo game at Blizzcon... but announce a mobile game
2 - "Don't you guys have phones!?!"
