I seemed to have offended someone by saying I can't be arsed to sit in a queue. Well damn I have better things to do with my time than waste it, like playing some other game until the queues let up. Quite honestly this white knighting is getting absurd. Even saying I refuse to waste time I have precious little of seems to have offended them when it is perhaps the most logical thing to do.
Oh, you didn't offend me, those rhymes were just a joke.
You have to create a new character on the new servers today so you would get your founder's pack items tomorrow on the new character as well.

Wasn't referring to you but to the chump that gave me a wtf. Obviously a huge fan and was greatly disturbed I didn't deign to wait in a fcking queue because OMG the game is so awesome I should totally do that. Yeah not so much I will come back in a month or two when things get more manageable. I'm in no hurry.
I will think about making another character on another server but quite honestly I am enjoying Ruined King.

You can always come back to the game later, indeed some of us are waiting for the two month point by which time the honeymoon will be over and some medium term impressions will be made. I am pretty sure the queues will be fine then.

Personally, I'm pretty sure it will be over once I finished the main quest, and maybe a couple of remaining end game dungeons. That's the only thing that keeps me going, and indeed dungeons/scenarios are awesome, but man, that "world" is so boring.

Playing 20 minutes of this epilepsy-inducing, faceroll-easy game convinced me not to waste my time waiting in a game to play it. I saw, I laughed, I uninstalled.
I did, not so keen on their system of having to continually push the G key to advance dialogue with NPCs, probably learn to trigger press those eventually.
Yeah wasn't criticism, just a lame joke.
I only did the intro but resolved to skip all dialogues after the part where "booby lady sends you to save the world on a pillar of light".
Wait, Booby Lady? I might have to try this game out after all .... you know for "research" purposes.

Fighting big demons in towers is a pretty common theme, in fact that particular one really reminded me of a very similar fight in Paths of Exile, except here you keep circling him by opening up the gates.

Open world feeling hits after you learn sailing, and mostly after you hit 50. I have leveled so many toons these days that everything has kind of blended together. But I guess you haven't sailed to the 'Street Fighter' part of the game yet, right?

When you get sailing you can choose to go wherever you want in the world. Although some of the zones would be harder than the others. But there is no need to follow exactly the next step. When you visit a new continent a new world quest would pop up.
The only quest line you have to finish is the one in North Vern, so you would unlock your 'Powerpass'.
You get 2 free powerpasses in game. You can use them to boost your 2 alts to level 50, it is not an instant boost, you need to do a bit of playing, sort of a highlights of the journey.
They haven't announced if Powerpass becomes available in the shop. So use it wisely.

Okay that sounds good, but the zone design remains the same right ? Corridors with impassable walls ?

End game zones are less corridor-y but in general yes. I think this may be the only game in existence that has larger and more open and wider dungeon level design compared to the rest of the world. Well, again, besides the sailing part!

I made a new character in Europe West and am at the prologue. I don't understand why it reset all my bindings when I switched from central to west. It was a real pain since I could not check what the other character's bindings were as there 9k queue there. Why would they completely reset all my bindings which I took pains to make before. So many keys esp when you change all the skill keys to 1-8. I left the damn shop unassigned.
Is it enough to get to the prologue to get the extra pack and gifts?

I'm not sure if the pack is still available, but if it is, then yes. Today I tried the old server again, queue is halved, but nothing works.

They have guild skill, quest item, battle items and skills and all those keys I redid to suit my gaming mouse so you can imagine how mad I got. Any way it is done and if I don't get the extra pack c'est la vie I guess.
I downloaded it and started to create one of my all time favorite classes: the Bard. Except, all I got was a giggling girl in a tiny mini-skirt.
No. Just, no.
That usually bothers me a lot too but I decided to grit my teeth and drill down to the game's substance despite its gender locked teen supermodel skin,..
.. and daymn, this game ain't half bad at all.
My main is a sorc and she's level 50 and I'm leveling a bard as well.
It has a good skill system, albeit class-locked, with impactful mods you can make to the skills.
The scenarios (dungeons) are some of the best I've ever seen and best of all, they scale appropriately from 1-4 players so you can solo them easily (while leveling) if you want.
The epic scenarios I've seen so far - one castle attack and one defense - are really top notch and feel truly epic.
I even appreciate how they've done mundane fetch quests cutting down a lot of the grind those usually have. None of this fetch me 20 rabbits - most just have you fetch 1 or 2 things and you're done.
All in all enjoying myself. Best $0 I've ever not spent

Regarding dungeons; it is best to solo them on 'normal' mode during leveling, because they give the same amount of XP and you can do them faster this way, that is if you are looking to level up fast.
Don't forget your powerpass, you can boost 2 alts to level 50 for free.

I did dungeons both ways with my sorc to get a taste for grouping and be sociable but if I didn't get a group in a minute or so I just soloed them. Might be my imagination but I thought the loot drops were actually better solo.

As I said before, North Verne is rather important part to unlock your Powerpass and also your Awakening skills. So make you to complete that line. After you were done with 'Ealyn’s Request', press F2 (Sheet Music) and play 'Song of Trixion' to teleport to dear old Beatrice. She will grant you one final Normal Skill and your first Awakening Skill.
As for the second Awakening Skill, you need to complete the Rohendel line. You will get a new Purple Quest in Queen's Garden. This one is rather a long line (compared to the previous one) and it will take you to a few zones and islands to unlock.

Loot drops on hard mode are definitely much better but take longer. I'm not in any hurry to level up so all good.
