Dijn, remember that cool glove controller made by Nintendo, that was a flop too...a little
Well, I don't see how people are coming up with opinions that this system is going to suck. I mean in my view, I got to try before I buy so I'm not going to throw trash at the Reveloution.

No, I'm just done... I'm not in a pissing contest, I don't want to see who's penis is bigger either.
Who cares? You won...
Does that make you feel better?
I'm sorry if I don't troll the Internet to find things to debate about, and I'm also sorry if you're a Nintendo fanboy... it doesn't mean anything to me, my mind is set in stone and I know a lot of people that are just like me.
When will Nintendo understand ON-LINE is the way to go... not this "backwards" bullcrap. If I want to play NES games on a NEW machine, I'll just play them on my real NES. I think it's going to be a hit for women and children.
no i'm pretty sure he realized its a waste of time to argue with people over the internet on wether or not a gaming system/controller (that noone has ever even used yet to form a valid opinion on) is good

Wow, it seems I really pissed you off.
I didn't think that we were pissing or comparing penises, but that's just me. What my point was is that if you are going to say this whole idea sucks, and use Nintendo's history as your argument as to why it will suck, you might want to pick an example that's not so easily refuted. Saying that Nintendo has released several "total flops" is pretty rediculous.
You can call me a Nintendo fanboy if it makes you feel a little better--I don't mind. Fact is, I'll be happily buying all three systems as it is, because I'm at heart a console gamer. I am defending the Revolution in particular because I think it is particularly innovative.
Your comment regarding online play once again shows how misinformed you are. The Revolution WILL have online play, that had been established long ago. Do you see what I'm getting at here? You're completely writing off something that you have done no research into whatsoever.
Originally posted by stone-seraph no i'm pretty sure he realized its a waste of time to argue with people over the internet on wether or not a gaming system/controller that noone has ever even used yet is good
So argueing or discussing anything that is not yet available on the market is useless ?
Allright, we should close all the games in development forums then ? And if you think its just 'a waste of time', then surely your reply was a waste of your time, and i trust you wont waste any more time on it .

It's really no different than the dozens of other petty subjects discussed daily on this site.

I'm sorry if I'm just too lazy to have 100% proper sentence structure. But with that comment you made to me, I took that as an offensive belittlement.
That's how I am. There's no reason for you to put me down just because I don't know all the facts of a certain system, that's just foolish. I am only saying what I know, shit, I don't even watch television and hardly even look at consoles on-line, so my news is what I know.

What's more foolish, though--calling someone out because they don't know all the facts, or spouting out negativity towards something you know virtually nothing about?
I don't know where you got off thinking I was analysing your sentence structure--I was referring to your inability to back up the arguments you make. Whatever. I guess I'm the bad guy for pointing out your inaccuracies.
I see you get yours kicks by being the OCD person you are. I'm sorry if you're just that much more intelligent then I am, that much more cooler then I am.

This is the classic stance of someone who feels they are on the losing side of a discussion. Instead of trying to bolster their side of the argument, they put on some sob story to try and make the other person feel bad or somesuch. Nice try, though.
Was that really your last post? You said that a page ago as well....

Just because you cant back up an argument, you dont need to be so pathetic with your sarcasm and trying to belittle him.
Iwata also presented a select number of Japanese developers to discuss their feelings related to the controller - most notably Konami's Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear series, who told the audience that his initial reaction to the controller was simply to exclaim, "You've done it!"
"Even though it was a surprise to me at first, I quickly understood how it should be used," he commented. "This is exactly what I was looking for."
Being a huge fan of Kojima's work (and not just the MGS games..anyone remember Snatcher and Policenauts?), I find this information pretty darn awesome.
Pretty funny that someone would write off an entire system just because they looked at the controller and it was a little too wierd.
I can imagine some back woods hick looking at the first toilet in town and saying "Damn did you hear that noise comin' outta that thar contraption? I'm not placin' my nether regions anywhere near that thing, it's liable to have me singin' soprano!" People used to think having a bath could make you sick. They used to drill a hole in your head if you were sick to let the evil spirits out. Gallileo was put to death because he said that the earth was round.
Change is good kiddies, embrace it or be overtaken by it. For all we know that controller might be the perfect ergonomic shape to prevent carpal tunnel and the fabled "Nintendo thumb". If anyone can re-invent the wheel as far as video games, Nintendo can.
EDIT: and don't worry, Mad Catz will undoubtedly make you a generic contoller for those who are afraid of change.
Thank you for that link Darq! I am now excited to try this bad boy out! The guy is a genius, and I now see how the thing will work and it is pure innovation! This thing will have unprecedented control in an FPS environment, while being simple enough to play puzzle games.

1972... it's 2005, that would make you 33... not 28... plus if you where born in 1972 you wouldn't be old enough to own PONG... Again, I doubt your story has any valid point to it.
What does he have to gain by saying his first system was Pong? But I guess its impossible to buy a console a few years after it comes out.

Dude, you need to just leave this thread before you make yourself look any more foolish. He never said he bought Pong when it first came out, you're just making a hasty assumption (you're pretty good at that).

Trying to bring the thread back on topic of the Revolution again, I stumbled upon this article:
