Even the most basic, simplest research would have showed you the delays, screenshots, etc. that you complain about have been known for months and years. I bought it, but I'm either patient enough or rich enough not to worry so much. Or dumb, according to a lot of people here. It's hysterical seeing you guys bluster like this about 60 bucks for a game that you were told wouldn't be available until April.

They game i paid for also includes SoG, which .. unless you have never heard of SoG, was starting today, not april. I would not be upset in the least if they disclosed that there would be a delay. Shit happens. But as a customer who just forked over funds, i have every right to expect a company to communicate if their are problems.
As customers we can either be on their side, understand their frustrations and problems they are running into, we can but only if they communicate so that we can be understanding.
Imagine if you will a hypothetical scenario:
I own a drycleaning business (no i dont just an example) and i take 100 customers clothing. I give them a receipt that says it will be ready the next day and 8am. The next day i take off for Mexico on a 1 week vacation. I leave no notice on my storefront, i dont tell my customers that came in the day before to expect a delay, i say nothing. But when i return a week later, should i expect my customers to :
a) be understanding that i went on vacation for a week while i held onto their clothing with no notice even though i knew i would be leaving the next day but did not disclose to my customers that i left.
b) be ready to slit my throat since they had no clothes to wear and had to buy a new wardrobe so they could go to work.
now.. if you are a complete freakin idiot, you would be a fanboi moron and say 'a'
If you are a rational normal human being, you would say b) because you know a lynch mob would be waiting when you came back from vacation. Such behaviour would indeed show irresponsibility and certainly a bad business practice.
However, in our case it's more like placing a note in the drycleaning store's door that says "Sorry, I'm sick and the shop will be closed for today" or telling a customer that you were too busy and haven't managed to clean his coat yet but will have to come again tomorrow. Both are cases that rational people can understand.
That's the case here. DnL and SoG are not delayed because of irresponsibility or laziness, but because their products are a bit "sick" (buggy) and need to stay in bed for a day or two till the developers give them their medications and are cured. :P

Considering that DnL 's release is two and a half years past the initial date I would say it is a bit more than a bit sick. After seeing that sad excuse for a skill tree the other night and the "limited" schedule " which I have heard about but admit I cannot find on their "website" for the SoG servers perhaps they should just do the MMORPG world a favor and pull the plug.

I have no idea if it's a scam but I was not even tempted to pre-order. I did, however, pick up one of those free SoG thingys. Anyone know if there is an NDA associated with SoG? I should think not since they won't call it a beta test, but a prelude, but I'm not entirely sure. I have a difficult time finding information on their site, too. I just don't have patience with it.

Anybody can download it, unless you "checked your subscription" at 1800:00-1801:22 on the 8th you're not getting in. The check your subscription to see if it's valid was just to check the data base so you'd know when they took the website down on the 8th to do the REAL signup that your account would go thru

just call your bank and do a simple charge back. Enough of those would put this entire POS project out of business for good considering the only reason these clueless clowns took $60 orders for a half baked alpha is because they have no $ to take from any place else anymore because no noe will give it to them and wisely so.
well about the refund...if they stated from the beginning that you could not get a refund after you gave them your money and you agreed to their rules then in this case you dont have a chance of getting your money back unless you can find a little "legal window"...but that equals to 100's of hours working with a solicitor so my advice is that next time dont give money just to try a game...it is the companies that should pay the beta testers for testing. it has been my long practice never to pre-order(and it payed back when i didnt pre-ordered the new galaxies expansion) and buy the game 2-4 months after it has been in the market.

DnL is the biggest scam since Mourning and anyone dumb enough to have pre-purchased a key deserves to have their money taken.
