This has become one of my secondary complaints about RR about their unproffesionalim, is their obvious favoritism to their fanboies. If there is information being released in IRC and it isn’t making it’s way to the beta cite then the obviouse answer shouldn’t be that everyone should have to tune into IRC 24/7. The only reason that information is making it’s way to IRC is that here aren’t people like Remmy that has a realistic expectation and not willing to just accept platitudes. It’s obvious that RR’s policy is to simply ignore people with reasonable concerns with the exception of the occasional poorly constructed sarcastic remark. And, just to head off a lame response I am not refering to the few people who make comments just to incite mischief, but the many people asking legitimate questions and making solid observations, which are treated this way.
And I agree with Remmy that this is an attitude that seems to be adopted by Brando, although I do understand Brando’s reaction to skizdouts unsupported post it has been explained many times on the board why someone could reasonably assume that TC is going to be vaporware. RR has certainly done more to support a case for vaporware then the possiblity for a solid game to the general public.

I didn't even buy that excuse because there was never any information given to the beta community that CG didn't realse himself. With the exception of another failed beta date. Which is what really pissed them off is that they made another poorly constructed guess about the game realse and it went public. However, that date wasn't being publically thrown around by people on the boards MMORPG.com got a hold of it and posted it on their website. So instead of getting all pissy at the community as a whole they should of been telling the press not publish such information.

I used to be on IRC all the time when I was between MMOs, but if I have a rare free moment, I'm going to use it playing games, not sitting in IRC. I'm not sure where not going onto IRC equates to me being a fair weather fan. I can't access IRC at work, but I am on the boards A LOT. I'll try to stop in for a bit like once a week...but I don't see why I have to:
A. Live in Georgia or buy a plane ticket to get info that should be available online.
B. Lurk on IRC in hopes of grabbing some tiny piece of info.

That complaint has been posted again and again (I've posted much the same myself). It falls on deaf ears.
CG equates it to those that sacrifice more time and money get more information.
Now that this game is on indefinite hold, and there are no people working on it any longer, until they have sold the game to a publisher (as i said they would try top do months ago) it's funny to read the arguments. I'm sure that brando and drak still think that TC is going to comeout and there isn't anyreason to beleive it's going to be vaporware.
