And in all honesty, I've met extremely attractive girl gamers. I recently quit my job because of going to bootcamp, but before I did there was a place next door with a girl gamer. She was extremely attractive. Some of my customers would actually stare at her while walking through the store. (A lot of the girls who worked there were attractive.)
I think one big reason why Guys torment girls in games is because of the way girls treat gamer guys in the real world...
Come on think back to your highschool days if you must and you told a girl that you love video games and you play games for 4 hours at a time sometimes... I can bet that the girl responded with "OMG you are such a nerd.... You are such a weirdo" or something else to that extent..
I myself have gotten it... I was in a speech class once in College and I gave a speech about how games can be good for you.... and the speech was followed up the NEXT week by a girl talking about all guys (because girls dont play games according to her) play games are killing them selves because it turns your brain numb, and kills your brain cells.... I think this is why some of those 12-16 year old boys have such a terrible outlook towards girls and games... and I think it's really sad that girls are shunned in-game by guys... and guys are ostresized out-of-game by girls.. (not all girls do this)
I think boths sides need to reach an understanding.... But as for me I love when girls play games... Cuz i think its great to have more than just guys playing games... cuz games should be a discriminant between guys and girls... But in most MMORPGs i play male and female chars because my female char always gets like free high lvl stuff from stupid 14 year olds.. IT's great....

I met a dynamite hooker in Vegas in a video games arcade playing a terminator game. It is possible. I also used to play beat 'em up's in bed with a cute little barmaid from New Zealand.
As a rule, in order to avoid disappointment, I assume that all the girls I cyberstalk are have three eyes and B.O. and if they aren't men, look like them. In this way I am always open to a pleasant surprise. Should a girl turn out to be highly unattractive the last thing you should do is mention it. Should a person standing nearby in a bar come out with abusive comments such as these he would be in real danger of a physical reprimand. It's elementry good manners to look for the beauty in people. If you are looking for ugly, then that's what you will find. Like attracts like perhaps. (which means I am doomed to marry a three eyed couch potato with 1 leg and no access to sanitation facilities).

I can't think of any better example of "unbridled speculation" than the reactions surrounding "Gamer Girls". Ultimately, females play for the same reasons males do. They're fun!
I'm a 34 year old gamer girl, and proud of it. The first game I ever played, and played online, was Diablo. I remember that day almost a decade ago vividly, because until I tried the game, I resented it for the time my husband spent playing it. He had gone out with friends for his weekly "boys night out", and I planned to stay home, sick with the Flu. There was nothing on TV I wanted to watch, so I decided to try out his copy of the game. It was hilarious, I felt like a kid stealing from the cookie jar when nobody was looking. The day I started was also the day I first logged on to Battlenet. I met a couple of very interesting people... and that, combined with the fun factor of the game is what got me hooked. He was pretty shocked when he got home and found me playing... the next week we had to buy a second computer, and a second copy of the game!
Since then, my husband and I both have played a lot of titles together, and we've met some very interesting people from all over the globe. "Boys night out", became "boys night in"... we all play these games together. Some people we've met along the way we've known and gamed with for 7 years now, and one woman in particular is someone I consider one of my "best friends"... right up there with people I know in real life!
I've heard just about every reaction to my being a "gamer girl" in the book... from being called a "fat loser" to a random guy instigating cyber sex... LOL My husband and I are a normal "thirty-something" couple, considered a "good looking couple" by our friends. We have a fabulous relationship, enjoy the same things, and spend a lot of time together (largely I believe, because we game together). We have no kids yet, but are trying. We've both got fulfilling careers, and recently bought a house together and had a blast renovating and decorating it. In the summer when I'm not gaming, my favorite passtime is gardening (I love starting something from nothing, and watching it grow). I think there is a direct similarity between games and gardening... levelling a character is a lot like growing plants, and the outcome is equally rewarding.
Gaming is our main source of entertainment. Before we started gaming, we were spending over $1,000.00 per month on movies, clubs and restaurants. Dropping that down to $30.00 a month helped us save for our first home. It's increased a bit in recent years, especially now that one title doesn't satisfy us for several years anymore, and also due to the rising costs with Expansion packs and added content, but it's still cheaper than most other forms of entertainment out there. We both believe that games will eventually become a major source of entertainment... possibly integrating with television, if not almost replacing it entirely. It's no wonder film and music Celebs are doing voice and music for games now. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!
I definately fall into the "powergamer" category. For me, I like to feel I'm getting my money's worth... and that means seeing, and experiencing all content available in a game. While I started in PVE games, I now prefer PvP environments for the added excitement. PvP also seems to give purpose to end-game raiding.
It's a shame there has been so much of a stigma attached to Video Games, but it's starting to change. Population growth in the video game industry has been shocking, and it's getting a lot of attention from investors, developers, and the media. It is a growth market, and a staggering one at that.

I never really thought that this girl gamers topic will be so big, very interesting. I know for a fact that there are a lot of beautiful girls that play mmorpgs, but there also those girls that are not attractive, well at least not to me.
There is this game called Conquer it has the most beautiful girls that I have seen play mmogs and kicking ass. They're are exotic you know brazilian and uh brazilian; I really love brazilian woman.
Just don't take games so seriously they are role playing games after all and if a beautiful girl wants to play a Juggernaut warrior let her the games are not real they are just an escape from reality. Who knows you might meet her in real-life and you and her already have one thing in common... Video games.
