I don't know how they did the screenies, however there's a small set of system messages, revealing exactly what would happen had the post-CU packets gotten sent to the pre-cu client.
A certain set of messages (the same one that caused the nuclear explosion effect right after CU launch), that also apears to be bugged, and no longer used (also results in erroneous flytext messages on live), shows up in that screenie when it shouldn't. This has little to do with server, but with the way client handles this type of messages.

Add the fact that they are dealing with 2 multi billion dollar corporations, and it makes you wonder why they are so public about it.
Recently though, there have been further developments on this front, and SOE have made some ground on attempting to producea original systemthat includes all the current mini-publishes and major publishes.
For evidence of this, you can refer to the lead developers publish plan. This is to last 6 months approx.
The reason that there is no publish plan further ahead of this ( unlike during the previous combat systems) is that IF the current system on the live servers is not to the playerbases liking,a originalbase system will be made live. Evidence of this can be found by the upcoming house and structures purge on the servers. this is to make way for condensed server merges, with the remainder being "cleaned" and prepared for thenewsystem.
So no mention of a Rollback. But instead of an 'Original' and 'New' system? So in other words....Another Combat Revamp.
Call me crazy...but I believe it.
As for the 175k subs...I can believe it. 175k minus the 35k Trials puts it at 150kish...subtract say 30k for station access members= 120k'ish subs. Minus maybe 20k for inactive players, and maybe another 10k for people who prepaid for a year....Sure...you could easily put the active subs at around or under 100k Active and still claim 175k
I certainly do not know who in the hell has authorized your visit here but here is were all who have been double butt plugged by SOE can voice their displeasure with their former gaming host. While you are there tell them that an army has assembled and it will not stand for all that SOE has done and refuses to let it occur in the future, THIS MUST END AND IT WILL BE DONE AND TO HELL WITH THOSE WHOS STAND IN THE WAY.
