EA record with MMORPG's are a disastrous one (UO and Earth and Beyond) and look what happened to EQ2 when SOE decided to go ahead without mythic or what happened to SWG when all beta testers cried that the game wasn't ready for launch. (ok SOE is another company but it is still runed as EA from non gamers) Warhammer has a lot of friends at a tittle and it seems that's the only reason EA jumped in since it was the most promising new launch (one that had a slight chance of hitting WoW) Now EA just wants to cash in from the tittle using poor DAOC as a cash cow I DO think that Warhammer will launch a lot sooner than it would if mythic was in charge, I just hope Mythic people will have a say in that Only thing left is praying to GODS
You get the incense-- I'll get the goat for sacrifice.
EA didn't own Origin when UO released either. Look how much they managed to screw that game up only 2-3 years after it's release. It took a little while but they slowly managed to totally mess the game up. To the point where 'illegal' shards are almost more populated than the official ones. Illegal shards running, I might add, "Classic" (original UO) versions of the game.
Actually, you're wrong. EA owned OSI before UO was even a glimmer in Richard Garriot's eye. LB sold out in 1992.

EA now has their backs when it comes to funds, and thats all that has really changed. saying you won´t look at warhammer anymore just because EA has taken over Mythic, is sad. nothing will change for warhammer. This takeover has no effect on warhammer or DaoC.
Like it didn't have an effect on UO, or Earth & Beyond? Or MCO or The Sims Online? Motor City was a niche idea, but TSO could have been huge, if it didn't suck so badly.
EA's management is just so clueless. SOE may have serious issues, but I don't consider them to be anywhere near the same level of market-crushing idiocy that EA is. If EA has learned anything at all from thier mistakes, they'll just let Mythic do whatever they want, while they reap the benefits. I wouldn't bet on that, though.. They must've offered Mythic a hell of a deal.
When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world.
