I also hate it when people have to put there stupid country tag in front of their name, who cares if your a [FIN] or a [GER] in a video game.
This kind of mentality is what reinforces anti-American sentiment on the internet. You may not be aware of this, but there are people on teh intraweb that don't speak English. Shocking, I know. These people often put their country's tag infront of their character names to easily identify themselves to people who speak their language. This allows for the formation of a same-language community within which people may assist one another and figure out the foreign language game together. Such communities are often spearheaded by a few people who can also speak English fluently, and often take upon themselves the duties of basic text translation, interpretation between different groups of players, etc. The internet is international, and online gaming has brought the diverse spectrum of nationalities "together under one roof" so to speak. I find it disturbing that this positive development inspires feelings of such hatred and resentment in you. But don't worry, there are many American gamers who share you disdain for other nations and cultures. Maybe you should all get together and form a lobby group or something...
"Speaking haygywaygy or some other gibberish with your mum doesn't make you foreign." -baff
In an FPS game it dosent matter what language you speak. Its also not to make groups that they make those country tags its to segregate the game. Why is it that people will take any chance they can get to seperate everyone. When did I say I hate other countries, I'm a Swedish/Irish/Itailian american and I've been to all those countries plus more. I love the cultures of other societies or I wouldn't travel. All I'm saying is, that when everyone has their one little country tag all it does for me is make me feel different and not wanna talk to them because I'll be shunned for being the devil/north american. So think about it before you accuse so much.
In an FPS game it dosent matter what language you speak.
Yah, because people have no need to communicate with one another in FPS games. Who are you kidding?
Its also not to make groups that they make those country tags its to segregate the game.
I gave you the reason for the country tags. If you can't bring yourself to believe it, there's not much I can do about it.

Have you ever seen how a non-North American is treated in a game which is dominated by English speaking players? These people band together because they are shunned and ridiculed by the English speaking community, they look for friends online just like everyone else does. God forbid that you should feel different or unwelcome within certain circles, as they are made to feel whenever they pick up a new game dominated by Anglo-leet kiddies shouting "omfg lrn to English n00b!". Really, these people should just live in isolation and avoid their own kind so you don't feel discriminated against.

Sorry man, my family is more important to me than your mislead wordly views.

America at least does SOME good. All you do is sit on your ass typing derogatory comments about a country you dont even live in. Which is why you have no idea what you are talking about, the only information you could possibly have is media driven, and we all know how unbiased the media is.
All I can say is get used to it. When your on top everyone wants to bring you down. That's the only reason people talk trash about America, because we are the number one nation. When is the last time you heard someone talk trash about the Congo or Canada. That's right no one bothers with anyone below number one.
P.S. That's just a little dig at our neighbors to the north, I love you silly Canucks.

Funnily enough most people shouldnt be talking smack. No country is perfect, I mean look at Britain, only a few hundred years ago, they took over many MANY foreign lands and there was plenty of Bloodshed involved.

I hate most Americans and I live in America, have for 25 years. Why, I got a family tree that goes all the way back to the Jamestown settlement. I don't have the money like most tho'. Le boo... Anyway, I love America and I'm a Patriot for America. But not in the way most ignorant and uneducated Americans are. Where we spend on new nuclear weapons and litigation against other nations from obtaining nuclear weapons, I'd rather see our school teachers paid more and be offered actual tools to teach our young people. Where tax payers and our politicians spend way too much money censoring television and radio and banning abortion (all personal choices for individuals, not a nation) we could actually be paying our first line of defense against threats to our nation. Our Coast Guard should be better equipt than our CIA agents in other nations. Our police should have the resources availiable to them that we give away to Marines. Where we bicker as two parties letting industry and executive leaders profit, we could clothe, feed, wash, and educate our very own citizens. The US spits on even our own kind. Other nations and ethnic groups can easily see that, and obviously see our policies such as our needless war effort. Our controlling of other nation's affairs. Our unheeded hate towards things like France's bold stance not to invade Iraq because they knew something we found out later, Iraq was too poor to have a chemical or nuclear weapons program after the 1991 raping. Sure I'd be considered left but why? Because I think our right has done wrong? I believe in personal freedom. Folks should believe as they want with who they want. They should own their guns and execute what they feel best on their own private intrests. I believe in swift and just punishment to those who commit crimes. I believe our tax dollars should be used wisely, not given to weapons developers, actually used on our own soil. This whole 'team' attitude for our existing parties is bring ruin to our way of life slowly but surely. European and Asian nations have developed around the community and they're starting to thrive and destroy the US super power stance by just growing as one. We grow only as indivudals now. And it's our core beliefs that make that difference. Such as.. You should go to school. Get a car. Get a job. Go to college. Get a new car. Get a bank account. Get a lone. Buy your own land. Reproduce. Go to Church. Then get into politics when you're already comfortable as a consumer that when things get bad, there's too much to risk in change. So people of other nations judging all Americans as one. We're really, really varied and painfully so. To Americans pained by these judgements. Who's not laughed at a Pol joke? A French joke? Viewed all Hispanics as Mexican? We're flawed, but we're also too lazy to do anything about it.
Tips tho' there is a way to make change without violence. You have a right to tell your elected officals what to do. I've joined up with others and have had my Republican elected offical vote on some 'green' choices just my merely talking with him on the phone. Vote, vote, vote. Find the people running for public offices and ask them questions. We all bitch about things, but 90% of Americans don't realize (or really care to even try) that they can influance these people who represent us.
George Washington and company didn't band up Americans to kill the British for not letting them believe in Jesus. Nor did they do so to control the tea market, like we're trying to fight for oil. They did so for choice, they wanted to choose and be free to choose. None of us are patriots because we let 2 parties and their wild and off center ways make our decisions without offering actual and just input. Did I just write all that in vain? Certainly, I've told it to more active communities than ones based around a recration such as MMORPGs, which I enjoy. To no avil.
I kill other players because they're smarter than AI, sometimes.

A wise man once said "If you aint gonna fix the shit, you shouldnt complain about it."
I Love the United States and I am Proud to be an American.
Even with all of the complaint from within and without, with all of the problems that we face everyday, I am proud to call the United States of America my home and country.
Be seeing you. Ciao!
The way you play the game is the way you live your life.
Firstly the USA is the most powerful country in the world so, you are going to get a whole load of cr*p for no other reason than this, people are jelous.
Secondly I don't understand the phrase "Monday morning quarterback", if you mean people are ill informed and passing judgement based on less than all the facts, well this is just human nature again, get over it m8, it happens everywhere and on every subject.
Thirdly (like my format? hehe, sounds like I know what I am going to post next but I don't hehe) er, yeah holding a generation responsible for previous actions, again people are going to do this, it is stupid, so ignore it.
Fourthly some non-US peeps like the USA, like me .
Fifthly no country is perfect.
Sixthly, people do have a right to rant and rave though, and I think they have a right to do this whether they have ever lived in the states or not, also as not everyone is a history braniac, some of them will be mis-informed.
Seventhly If you get upset by somebody ranting against your country it is because you are thinking like them a little, let me explain, if I can.
Everyone is an individual, with individual ideas etc so making a blanket statement against a whole nationality is usually going to be in error, ok I believe this anyway. So if somebody does this and you get upset it is because you are identifying yourself with the idea that a nation can be treated as a whole and that you see yourself as part of the whole, see what I mean, I didn't explain it too well.
Eighthly it is not just you guys, the French get a lot of stick, so do the English, Iraqis, Canadians, hell I bet every nation gets a good roasting occasionally.
I hate nationalism and patriotism myself, it is like "Yay! lets feel superior because of the geographical location of our mother when we popped into the world"
Lastly I would advise you don't get too stressed by what people say on the intreweb, For instance some fanny(means c*nt in UK EDIT: though a more lighthearted way of referring to the womans sexual organ than c*nt) posted "what is wrong with the IRA?" the other day lol I was going to answer but ...meh I figured it was just a flame bait.
Edit: I realise of course that I just responded to the flame bait, chalk one up for the flame baiter.
