One of the proud, the few...kinda, I can say I started on UO. I believe it was around 1997(around the time my friend introduced me to FF7 I believe) to 2004? I've played it some in the past year, but it hasn't been much. Of course saying that was my first would be false. The first MMO I REMEMBER playing is Astonia. I think there were like three classes, one spell, and two avatars, male or female. Graphically, it was like a poorly developed UO, if you can imagine such a thing(though I still think UO looks beautiful even to this day).

I guess I can't actually say I played the real UO though, since I only played OSI for about 3 days. The rest of those years were spent on player run servers. Good times...good times...

Ultima Online. Wish more games these days had improved on that style of game but sadly we are left with multi-player games rather than online virtual worlds.

My future father-in-law got me started playing Everquest back in 2000. It was a great way to score points with the future in-laws! Anyways, got hooked on that but played other things too. Did play alot of EQ on and off between 2000 and 2003 though. my list goes like this:

EverQuest (3 years on and off)

Dark Age of Camelot (about a year)

    Anarchy Online (about a year)

World War 2 Online (about 3 months)

    Asherons Call (about 6 months)

Star Wars Galaxies (about 9-10 months)

    PlanetSide (about 5 months)

    EverQuest 2 (about 8 months)

    World of Warcraft (2 weeks)

With MANY other lesser games not listed.

M59 was my 1st (didn't last long...no reliable CCard payment back then).  But soon after I did Sierra's "The Realm".  So really, it was "The Realm"

Oh god, me too.  I had forgotten.  I beta tested that, too.  I remember when they added that first big monster that you couldn't fight... well, you couldn't fight at all back then.  It just shlumped around for ages.  And the fight scenes when they finally added combat!  That was a fun game.  I even played for ages after the release.  It cracked me up.  I should add, I suppose, that I also played Yserbius and that other one that came after from TSN.  I never went to Larry Land, though.  Oh no, not me... I'm a good girl, I am.

My first was SWG. I loved it with a passion. Then they started to butcher it. I left after the whole Jedi revamp when everyone all of a sudden was in the force sensitive village.  Still, I had played for just over a year, and loved it through and through.

Then I beta tested WISH. best game (not just MMORPG) I have ever played. then it was cancelled for some BS reason.

Then EQ2 for about 6-7 months. Was a lot of fun at first, but too hard to solo at higher levels (read impossible)

Then Asheron's Call 2 lasted about three weeks.

Then Horizons. Only Time I ever remember paying $5 for a game and feeling ripped off. (I must say though. I was one of the winners of the free 90 days play here from MMORPG.com, and the game has come a long way.)  I played for about 3 weeks (wanted to use up my free month that came with the game) With my free 90 days I played around two months, then my PC died and it took me about two weeks to get all my new parts and build it, then it was just time to cancel the game (wasn't good enough to pay for)

And thats about it. Played WWII Online a bit, not really thing, though

Ultima Online was my first MMO way back in 1999.  man, do I still love that game.  So many good memories.  I always try to go back to it though, but I felt like I've done everything throughout the years, what would be the point to do them again?  I would love to play it more though, such a well developed game, even if EA has it now.

Plus the freeshards are some fun I suppose.

    <3 UO

I love a thread that brings back memories. (save the bad memories)

My first MMOG was UO and I started playing it around the time it first came out (94 or 95). Played it for about a year before the server crowd urged me to greener pastures.(Ganking was the popular pastime in the beginning...that and seeing some naked miner named Assless Tommy running past my UO house). I've tried almost all of the major ones since then. And I'll be trying more too when they come out.

Oh man, I've played almost every MMORPG made and beta tested more then half of the ones I played...I'm having some trouble remembering my first one. I want to say AC1 but I doubt that was my very first one.
