    For me and my wife Ragnarok Online (1st beta, JUST after alpha) was our first mmo ever, been hooked on mmo every since (roughly 6+ yrs)


    My god has horns.... nah, I don't think he is real either.

    SWG man.. its hard to go to a different mmo when that was the first and by FAR the best.

    Asheron's Call 2 .. but only for like, a week, so I don't think it counts.
    Anarchy Online is the game responsible for my MMO addition :)

    Saga of Ryzom, Anarchy Online, Lineage 2, WoW

    My very first was AC2, played a few others sinse then. Don't realy bother to much with single players, but recently returned to them. Better combat systems and such :)

    I started back in the days of text based muds.  Followed by Neverwinter Nights on AOL, Sierra's The Realm and Meridian 59.  Then of course the grand-daddy of the current gen mmo: Ultima online.

    I can't remember my first MMO. It was UO i think, but I didn't play it for long. Eve-Online maybe, hm. If you can't good old Planetarion.com as an MMO then that was certainly my first, but it's web based so I dunno.

    FFXI.  Honestly it was the only mmorpg that I didn't lose interest in after a few months.  I was forced to quit when I moved.

    My first online game was Project Entropia which I still play (from time to time) as it is skills based and is NOT frickin fantasy role playing!

    Entropia was for me everything that was great about mmo and also had all the worst things about it.

    good points

    meeting and playing online with other people and not just A.I.

    skills based system and there for no classes

    no auto lock so combat felt "real"

    no story line so do what you like

    bad points

    no balance (pvp very dangerous!)

    very addictive and took over my life (I did not have a job at the time as stay at home dad so kept me out of trouble!)

    began to cost  (no monthly fee but even ammo costs real money owch!)

    no end game (not a problem for me as I never finish games - I play for fun and not to win!)

    Mines Runescape, it did alot of things right just the graphics and community let it down image

    Oh yeah I played Endless Online at the same time back in the early stages, love that game.

    Anarchy Online back in 2000/2001 was my first MMORPG experience, quickly followed by Dark Age of Camelot...Ah the memories.

    to tell u guys da truth. PRISTONTALE. dat game was so awesome. i started like a week or 2 right when they started the thing when u have to pay.  my friend said you never had to before.  when i started.  yea but im waiting for pristontale 2. but i really hope its free. or the trial takes longer
