no, Over zealous, brain damaged religious folk, thats what.  Religious people are fine, most of them have a sense of reason, but what people see are the ones that don't.

    Brain damaged?

I know one kid had a mullet, and that could be causation to accuse them all as brain-damaged, but let's be reasonable now. Although whoever did let their kid have that satanically awful hairstyle is possible brain-damaged, as long as this Jesus Camp doesn't start making mullets mandatory, there is no reason to assume that they are infact, brain-damaged.

*Wonders what part of "Jesus Camp" JoHosephat's having trouble with.*

Is it the "Jesus" part, or the "Camp" part? Sorry, I'm just trying to better understand the situation. ()

I just assume that people with that little ablity to reason are braindamaged to be nice.  Wouldn't want to assume they were born that stupid

Maybe they aren't brain damaged, but I think they are a bit too young to grasp the concept of God fully, making a Jesus Camp a venue for adults to "influence" their children's thought process at an early age, so they question it less later.

zeal = fervent or excited; braindamaged = lack of reason

together is a bunch of people excited over a false cause..

No one will ever be able to mature to a level adequate to understand the concept of God fully. To put it bluntly, we're too stupid. And yes, indoctrinating a child with a certain belief will cause them to hold onto such a belief stronger at a later stage in life. But I do not see the problem as such. You may think that they're "brainwashing" the children, but for that matter, we are all brainwashed by society. In the end, there are the few of us who will break away from the "sheeple" mold, and decide not on what someone tells us - Whatever that may be - But what we adduce to be true.

I am a Christian, but I am wary of Christian organizations. I question the validity as well as the intent of some of them. I find that most Church-goers are "sheeple". Fake Christians that only wear the charade because it is the popular thing to do. You can never make someone a believer; you can influence them to wear the charade, but when one becomes an adult, you will always question things in your life, and your faith will be as the muscles in your body. They will either grow back, stronger than before, or you'll rip a tendon beyond all repair and never use that muscle again.

There was a reason America separated church from state. Of course, how George W. fits that bill, I don't know....

What separation of church and state?  I don't see one.  Gay marriage is banned to "keep the sacred institution of marriage," prostitution is illegalized because it is "adultary,"  drugs, gambling, and other things are thought of as immorale and therefore illegalized.  So no, I don't see a separation of church and state.

The reason "most people" (I'm assuming you mean Western Europeans in particular) think Americans are stupid is not because of the subject matter in this film.

    It is because, well...

we are literally more stupid than most any other nation on Earth.  Are school systems rank last compared to Western Europe.  When doing surveys of college age Americans, very low percentages could identify the country of Spain on a map.  Or what the nation language of The Netherlands.  Or take your pick on any subject.

That is why "most people" think we are stupid.

Let me rephrase: There was a reason America was intended to have a separation of church and state. We need to have that again.

Some would argue that the reason why religious faith is stronger here than anywhere else in the western world (the U.S. is basically the Christian version of Saudi Arabia, lets face it) is because of the seperation of church and state.

All Western European countries have state sponsered churches.  Most surveys in those countries show much less religiousity in their populations than the U.S. does.

Could you please tell me where in the constitution that it allows for the abolishment of personal freedoms on the basis that it is "morally wrong"?

If anyone wants to see my input on this video again, they'll have to read it in the thread that was posted a few weeks ago.

Hearing little kindergarteners yelling and chanting, "This means war!" and it echoing in my head over and over again scares the shit out of me. I thought Christianity was supposed to be peaceful.

I just finished watching that trailor, and that shit is fucking scary as hell!!

We are gonna have a lot of suicide bombers in West Hollywood, The Castro and The East Village in say 10, 15 years.  I was gonna include abortion clinics in that too, but abortion will be illegal in this country by then anyway.

What the fuck does a 5 year old know about life that he needs Jesus to save his simple little life?!?!  Truly pathetic.

Well, I certainly could try, but I'd rather ask how does that actually have to do with anything I said?  I was simply pointing out to you that you might want to take a few of those examples out of your post, unless your really advocating prostitution and drug use, and were under some kind of absurb belief that the only reason these acts are illegal is because of religion.
