the first ever Mmorpg i tried was EQ but never could get into it, then i tryed SWG in aug 2003 and stayed there until about feb. 2005 then i tryed WOW got to level 40 and then i got bored. been looking for a new MMORPG that was just like the old pre-cu SWG.
Played it at released and continued for another 6 years.
What greater tribute to free will than the power to question the highest of authority? What greater display of loyalty than blind faith? What greater gift than free will? What greater love than loyalty?

Sorry, NWN2 already takes that role
Horizons: Empire of Istaria was mine, followed by CoH.
AHHH i remember my first mmorpg like it was yesterday......... well really it was 2 years ago and it was Ragnarok Online
Ragnarok is one of the best games i have ever played and i will never forget it. its a clasic mmorpg and it will stay in my heart for as long as i live
Which FF Character Are You? Live In Your World, Play In Ours... and Play B3yond
My First MMO was Earth & Beyond since at the time i wasn't very interested in the Fantasy ones out there although now you can find me running around WoW .
Neocron [or neocrap] was my first. It was fun at first because it was my first online experience then the terrable graphics and the cliping bugs got to me.
Graphics wise imagine a sci fi post apocolyptic world where everything was painted using a limited pallet of brown dark green and red. and everyone had square limbs heads etc and you will be pretty close to neocron
Oh and expect to reguly fall through the scenery on a regular basis
Then i tried eve and i know not everyone here likes that game but it suited me fine and ive been palying it since.
UO on release, I still remember day 1, nobody new what thier were suppose to be doing, people were camping and doing all kinds of weird skills. There were people just trying to kill rabbits, some people taming them. So many people in the newb zones that the spawn couldnt keep up, you would be running around for 5 minutes just trying to find an animal that was killable, then attack a grizzly and it would tear ya to shreds. Then when someone came strolling in with a grizzly as a pet. Everyone would be saying OMG that guy is god.
Fun times, biggest dissapointment was the cancellation of UO2 /cry

A shame that the influence of that game is not more strongly felt on the modern MMOG market - I'm so fucking sick of level treadmill clones.
It was the MMOG equivalent of competitive sports - most of the MMOGs today are the equivalent of playing checkers with yourself. Depressing.

WoW. Sorry.
Tried out lots of MMOs since I quit WoW (about a year ago), but they all suck. Waiting for AoC atm ><

It's better be hated for who you are, than loved for who you aren't.
