Hes bashed me on every topic i make. I say how much a game sucks and gives points then he comes out of no where calling me a troll. Like i said before the guy is a hypocrite.

No one here is begging for attention so why dont you stop calling people trolls because you honestly dont know the meaning of it in this topic.

So, you're admitting that there's absolutely no point to the boring, excruciatingly, dull, repetitive grind from 1-70. "The PVE portion of the game sucks. The game isn't any fun at all until you reach max levels. No one plays the game for the PVE, they play it for the PVP". Wow! What a great game! If the game is only about the PVP then why does the game make you grind for months before you can actually PVP? If all I want is PVP, how about I just go play Starsiege Tribes and skip shelling out monthly fees to play through the PVE portion of a game that even the game's defenders admit sucks.
Almost.
There are mid lvl clans and alliances that have their own interactions. So you can easily get to this point in your levleing career and enjoy yourself.
Also, there are the new academies which give huge incentives for clans and alliances to invite lower lvl people and help them get to lvl 40.
But yeah, you need to be steadfast. Like I said above, not for eveyrone and it's completely understandable.
So basically, for some of you, the end game of the game is good enough to put up with the torture you're put through to get there. Personally that's not at all the sort of thing I'd put up with, but if you and other people are having fun playing the game, and if you think the time you invested in it is worth it, then I'm certainly not going to say you're not having fun with it I can get hyperbolic with my statements at time I know, but I'm not going to personally attack or judge someone just because they enjoy a game I don't see the point in. Heck, I love Guildwars and lots of people around here hate it. To each their own

For some, yes, but I believe the point Sovrath was trying to make is that the fun already starts long before the endgame. many people think that one needs to be max. level to start to have any fun in L2. While it certainly the point where you can get EVERYTHING out of L2, its not required to have fun in the game. there is still plenty of PVP and politics before you reach that level.
The thing i dont like about korean mmos is that they are made cheap and had no effort put into them.Yes some have nice graphics but thats all they are about is looking pretty graphically.
Gogo Shae, a pity there are not so many people like you out there to talk about things.
Orthosin, yes, the gring (omg), no players around at level 10 etc.
You don't like it, and other people don't like it either. Your posts therefore could contain something like "I don't like Lineage 2, and neither do I like other eastern mmo's I've played so far".
It's not what some customers now want from games - they want IT all and they want IT now (IT=fun/thrill/sense of accomplishment/custom characters etc). - now THAT's NOT WRONG, it's the demand of the market and in liberal democracy, sooner or later, demand = value. btw I've come to connect this attitude with the typical american way of life (now don't get me wrong, it's only a european stereotype, I've got nothing against the Americans or their way of life).
But on the other hand, some people, mostly the daily 8hours+, could like it. There are MANY endgame features in L2, subclass? noblesse? hero anyone?
Yes, the fps is mostly horrible, but some of it is caused by the recording of the replay, and I'm sure on todays new gaming PCs it would run smoothly. Now imagine you're the alliance leader of one side, the Ventrilo is full of clan leaders (average clan members can only listen), you direct the assault, buff the whole army (!) with your noblesse buffs, have some special storm teams of archers hidden behind a hill and order them to charge from the back..
Is it not a good game now? Don't you enjoy it?
It's not for everyone Please, don't spoil the game for people, who didn't start playing yet.

YOu need to grow up because this is a legit post about Lineage II. They keep making these damn expansion packs and have yet to solve the massive grind problem maybe its not as bad as it use to be but there is still a HUGE grind. They have yet to solve the botter problem through all those x-packs. There is alot of things that have yet to be changed in lineage II so if you think this is a troll post then think it but you have no room to talk.

Also, judging from your posts in other topics, its obvious your a WoW fan. Lineage 2 doesn't need changing, we, the players, don't want to have to solo all the way to the cap level. we don't want to have the grind reduced to reach the cap level in less then a month.we want to have to actually work for our Equipment. If we wanted WoW gameplay., we would play WoW. Thankfully, NCsoft doesn't listen to people like you. Lineage 2 is Lineage 2, and it should STAY Lineage 2. not WoW. Lineage 2 is fine as it is.

Iam not a WoW fan, iam a old school UO fan, so if you dont think i know what hardcore is then you have another thing comming because old school UO makes lineage II look like a softer version of WoW. I know everything i need to know about lineage II in 11 levels. Its a game where all you do is grind grind grind the same mobs till you supposably have fun at end game. Try again gameloading.

Wrong. see, and THATS what you get for not playing the game for a reasonable amount of time. you make incorrect statements. also, you ARE a WoW fan:

Well said Vendris and thank you for at least trying to get to the core of what we're trying to say here.
I would also like to make one last point though. Not aimed at you in any way, because I respect what you just wrote, but in a general way.
The discussion is going in such a way that makes it look as if L2 has absolutely nothing to offer until your top level. Which is just not true.
Here's my take, this is going to be long so be forewarned.
Level 1-10 Serves a great purpose in getting you acclimated to your controls and your environment, for the first bit you'll get a little tutorial on the in's and out's of the interface and then you'll move on to the internals of a city and then of course the basics of questing, exchanging, personal shops, armor and weapons. All important stuff.
Level 11-20 Serves to again acclimate you to your surroundings but in a more outbound way, this is where you usually get a general taste in which direction you'll go class wise. Armor and weapons are still cheap, questing is still simple but fun and your doing alot more combat now. You'll also get a much better idea on how to gain (and loose) adena. You will also get a touch of your first dungeon at this time.
Levels 21-30 Your now out in the real world, your hitting towns like Dion and a little later Giran, you've done your first class quest and your starting to see players, open pvp is in full affect, tension rises and you quickly realize Aden (while a beautiful world) is a dangerous one. You again start to get a better idea of what your class involves, you will start to party with people and most likely between these levels you will find a clan and start to be involved in the various systems. In the later 20's you'll be called back by your clan to help protect the lower 20's, you'll also get to see some pretty big open pvp warfair, although frustrating because it's new to you, it can be very rewarding.
Levels 31-40 You've moved full throttle into the manor system, you've gone through Death's Pass and survived if only by the skin of your teeth, your neck deep in with your guild and your developing a name is a solid player (whatever you want that to be). A wide variety of dungeons can be crawled now, you have tons of armor and weapons to shoot for and raids are a great thing to do when there's no other option. Your clan leaders start to call on you more and by the later 30's your getting ready for one of the most exciting class progression quests that you'll ever experience of any MMO. Your teeth are being cut here and your being tested every time you log on. Aden is changing all around you.
Levels 41-50 You've passed your test, your now (insert big kick ass class here), your running quests that you know make you the most coin and you've picked your side. Now your ready for seven signs, a week on week battle between Clans is bruing and your now at the forefront, your at the bidding at your master but maybe you have alterior motives? It's all up to you. Your becoming battle hardened, you know your class and you can compete with anyone on the flip of a dime but not only that, you have your own little kill on site list and your not affraid to turn to it when you have some time on your hands. Your a player of wealth, you have standing in your clan, your word carries wheight, you've new dungeons to explore and your now being asked to attend but most likely just view AND LEARN the art of castle seiging.
51-60, You name now isn't just known, it is feared. Those who are in the know, know you. Friends cheer for you when you arrive and your enemies tremble just a little, will you be an honorable soldier of a templar clan or will you hunt anyone and anything that you see fit in a blind rage. Again, completely up to you. Epic battles from long ago horrors are everwhere in the land, you and your companions will raid to seek them out and destroy what you can, if you can. Your Manor is large and robust, you can help those around you or horde your wealth. You no longer look for guidance but rather, you give it as the younglings look to you for both experience and protection, you are the backbone of your clan and they aim to make you more. You continue to attend castle seiges but still you take notes from the back of the battle and even sometimes participate in cutting off routes of escape for the enemy or even as a scout for potential incommings.
61-70+ You have arrived and the world is yours. All the hard work, all the learning, the failurs, the success have prepared you for these times. You will look inwardly in your training and relly on those that have kept you on the path until now and nothing can stop you, another class progession quest soons awaits you, battle on the front lines, shoulder to shoulder with friends who respect you and whome you respect, honor and sorrow will be found but always together. Aden will continue to change, the seven signs must be fought for, lands must be defended, armors and weapons must be fained, fearsome creatures must be dealt with and wealth is ripe for the taking. Where you stop, what lines you draw, are yours, not the worlds, not the games, but yours.
I realize this is all subjective and I'm being dramatic for the sake of being fascisious but all that... THAT is the fun in L2. Yes the end game is great and yes it's fun, omg is it ever fun, but personally in my experience, the journey there was 10 times better.
I also promise you this, if you can manage to get to this point and truly see the resounding experience of L2, I promise you any MMO that you play after will leave you wanting for that first run up to 70+ in L2.
I'd like to add to part level 21-30 of Shae's excellent post, from that level, you will also start to do the Seven Signs quest, which includes a lot of grouping and PVP experience. a lot of fun. you will also raid the lower level raid bosses.

so? because i know alot about WoW its a game that was enjoyable i didnt have to take hours on hours of grinding just to find the fun parts. I played WoW from 1-60 so i can defend it and once again i found many boring and tiresome repetitivness in WoW. Only fan of a mmorpg ive ever been in was old school UO.

Second, Gameloading has done more positive for this community then many of us put together, he's always happy to help any new membesr with questions that have been asked 500 times before and he does so patiently add on top of that he's forgotten more about gaming then you've learned in a lifetime.
Truly, someone so close minded and so eager to flame and troll as you has no place saying anything negative in his direction. Ever.
Hes bashed me on every topic i make. I say how much a game sucks and gives points then he comes out of no where calling me a troll. Like i said before the guy is a hypocrite.
Actually, its given to people who are just begging for attention on a forum.
No one here is begging for attention so why dont you stop calling people trolls because you honestly dont know the meaning of it in this topic.

Watch this video http://www.l2orphus.com/teonsiegevideos.php
Guys stop replying to Ortho.
He's just a preteen wow fanboy desperate for attention. He's not arguing out of reason, he's arguing out of pride. He can't admit that he's wrong because the damage it would do to his ego would be too severe for him to handle.
If he wants to keep bumping this thread, let him do it. Ignore his meaningless posts and continue your discussion. Eventually when he gets pissed off that no one is replying to him, he'll spam the thread/forum and get banned.
First of all, don't pretend like you even have a clue what your talking about. you only played level 10, you don't even know whats out there in the game.
Also, to further prove you ARE indeed a troll: http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/thread/102517

I also promise you this, if you can manage to get to this point and truly see the resounding experience of L2, I promise you any MMO that you play after will leave you wanting for that first run up to 70+ in L2.

so? because i know alot about WoW its a game that was enjoyable i didnt have to take hours on hours of grinding just to find the fun parts. I played WoW from 1-60 so i can defend it and once again i found many boring and tiresome repetitivness in WoW. Only fan of a mmorpg ive ever been in was old school UO.
Hehehe.
Well it comes down to this
Ortho: Lineage 2 sucks. The players that like lineage 2 suck and nothing can change my mind since my opinion is a true fact
Other posters polite: We like lineage 2 from level 1-80. We can understand that the game isnt for everybody and thats ok. Because we dont want to become a mainstream everybody's mmorpg, we want to keep it as lineage 2.
