"....if you're into raiding like you are i'd say you're gonna get bored fast there its certainly not hardcore. i didn't care for it much myself more of a pvper than a raider anyways and it doesn't really have either."
Lotro has 3 weeks out with few ppl on top lvls, how do you expect to raid anything in a new game?????? WTF!
And PvP same history, the pvp system in lotro, seeing it from the point of view of LORE i samazingly well done, u can go play as a monster at lvl 10 or w8 till u turn 40 to defend, take, reclaim or loose zones in a map the size the shire... boring? HAHAHAHAHA try it and then talk.
yea thats what i figured i just don't get why if someone is done with a game and no longer plays they have to come and bash the game but, its a public forum and if you need to vent i guess theres no place better. i tried lotro also an if you're into raiding like you are i'd say you're gonna get bored fast there its certainly not hardcore. i didn't care for it much myself more of a pvper than a raider anyways and it doesn't really have either.
Your welcome to have your opinion on LOTRO - there is a nice forums on here for discussion on that game.
Im just staiting my opinion on wow based on my 2 year experiance on the game and what I think will eventually happen to it if Blzzard will keep on with same policy regarding new content.
And I have to admit - I was hoping for bit more mature discussion than u have just shown on this issue.
WoW, from its inception, was designed to appeal to the entire family. TBC follows the exact same model, providing simple fluid gameplay without much risk. I would hazard to say that the population on MMORPG.com is far from the family market WoW has exploited. Blizzard filed off all the edges, but at the same time produced a superior product to anything else on the market. Unless another company one-up's Blizzards craftmanship, WoW will remain populated.

nothing i like better than to piss off the lotro gang! its not real pvp it's "monster play"..... now spin that. you play a scripted game.
hm new pvp system is quite brutal from my opinion. old ranking system ruled with only a few in thousands holding ranks above 10. real competition and rather e sport than war.

since you're new here i'll explain how it works ....you are either on one side or the other. if you no longer play and wanna come bash the game then you can expect to get flamed.

If I remember correctly wow has 12+ on it. But its true in the fact that it has superior gameplay than most mmorpgs. Parly cause it isn't looking for the wootefuckuberlookingtopnotch graphic. Its has a decent balance to it - but it will never be real hardcore RPG fan game cause its lacking to many things to keep that kind of players intrested.

I only see one flamer in this threat - Pretty much makes your opinion kinda worthless m8
New or not new - U flaming forumtrolls are all the same
WoW - I never thought I would find a place where u can actually say what u want about game without the makers banning u if its not positive. Here ppl can tell the truth about WoW and tbh the truth isn't pretty. IMHO Blizzard have ruined WoW in the latest 5 months or so. They have taken pretty much everything that made the game what it was and changed it around. No special classes as horde or Alliance. 2 years of 40 man raid content ruined in 2 weeks long before TBC ever came out. And now a patch that is ruining the rest with a last ditch effort to balance a Expansion that was put out without fully tested. TBC had so much potentials.. but it actually brought nothing new to the game. Absolutly nothing. For me its just a proof that its time to move on and find something new and exiting in a diffrent game. WoW is over !
Its hilarious how people actually thought their epic endgame gear would last a lifetime. And TBC brought plenty of new, its just that you're still pissed your epics are now officially useless. Old news.
The game is great, people just expect to much I think. I personally love WoW It's so damn fine tuned like every other blizzard game. They're not engineered to be innovative, they go on the concept of fun for Everyone. WoW has done wonders for the MMORPG community, and I think It's the best MMO on the market simply because of the fact that it's so universal, anyone can play and enjoy it. Many other game's I've tried are too complicated for most people, or take too long to get anywhere, people now adays like to see fast progression and WoW gives them this. I believe the reason WoW became so big Is simply because It's so well made, unlike other games with constant bugs and shutdowns that really frustrate people. Will there be better MMORPG's? of course there will but for now i think WoW is unrivaled when you look at the whole picture and dont pick everything apart, I guarantee if you held all the other MMORPG's up to the light like blizzard is everday, you would have no probelm finding just as many if not tons more flaws in each and everyone.

Hahaha
I need to put this into my signiture it seems
I repeat what I said to URMARKER
"Sorry m8 - obviously u have no idea what I was talking about
Are u serious that any1 should be whining cause tier2 and tier 3 sets are absolete ? lal

Wrong about the universal part - There are big areas in Europe than can not play huge part of the content cause of latency issues. That includes both PVP and Raid content.
PVP in any mmorpg is based on latency rather than skill - thats just a fact.
If not then try to play shotemup with 1k latency against another playing with 20ms. Who will pull the trigger first ?

What exactly were you talking about? I was merely replying on a point you made. Namely the many hours of raids gone to waste. Need I quote you?
And by the way: What on earth does "lal" mean? You seem one of the l337 kiddies that plague the WoW community. Stop harassing people and start discussing your topic.
I've played all the content - Ive grinded all the rep - Ive raided all current bosses.
I think I can give fair verdict.
A good game builds up on the current content that is already in the game - TBC doesn't do that. It destroyes everything the game was build on in the first place. Now thats poor expansion if u ever see one.
I agree, all TBC added that was new was flying mounts and Jewelcrafting , 2 new races added with the same classes doesn't work for me.
However I could lived with it all except for the way that TBC did just cause all the original content to be more or less made worthless, TBC wasn't an expansion to WoW it was more like WoW2 with an option to carry over some things from the previous game.
Wow is not evolving its not adding anything new that many other MMORPGS have, instead Blizzard seem totally focussed on PvP, probably because PvP content is a lot cheaper to add, unfortunately the game was not built for PvP and many people do not play the game for PvP.
i must agree on this, TBC ruined the game imo, they got overconfident and made a weak expansion, its a shame coz WoW was a very succesfull MMO.
After reading this entire thread this statement is the one that just blows me away ! There is nothing to do in WoW but grind !
MMORPGS are build on grinding.
If u see a person in uber good gear in any mmorpg game he is actually saying "hey I played this game for 1000030001 hours instead of going to work like normal ppl do"
Wow actually made good job hiding all the grinding compared to many other games out there.

Yes plz quite me where I say many hours of raiding gone to waste.
lal = kek = lol
Your first comment kinda made it obvious you were not here for discussing m8
Now that Blizzard are working on a new MMO that will be their priority. WoW will have it's staff gradually reduced and will be put on the back burner, they will probably cease the free content updates in favour of annual expansion packs for purhcase in the region of 20 quid upwards. WoW will be left to stagnation, Blizzard have a new bigger project now.
Are you sure you're talking about WoW? It sounds more like you're talking about EQ II and Vanguard...I've watched over the past couple years and EQ II at least has lost more good devs than you can shake a stick at, in favor of new people that "Cost Less" to the bottom line, but then again this has always been SoE's mode of operation.
I guess that explains the 8+ million subscriptions and the fact that they have to keep adding new servers to the game huh? Unlike a game like SWG or EQ II where they have to merge and lie about why they are doing it.
I thought my original reply was lacking evidence. So I've just updated it with some. But of course, all those professional game review sites are wrong... uhhuh...
Cheerio
Still waiting for your Holy Grail MMORPG? Interesting...
Until you see a report that subscription numbers have gone down, I think we can put the WoW is dead threads to bed.
Personally, I agree with the OP, TBC ruined WoW. I left along with most of my friends. However, i know more people buy it each day, so we made no impact in leaving.

Exatly - Game reviews are usually shallow and based on short time playing. Thats exactly what we are talking about m8
Shallow and limited longterm game enjoyment ... in an expansion.

We wont see any new reports about subscriptions from Blizzard for the next 1 or 2 months. But they know whats going on.
U just have to see player raitings on this site to see where WoW is going m8
Except that it's not shallow, I have been playing pretty much constantly since the expansion came out.
What you say is simply untrue. Look at all the facts, and what you say is in stark contrast.
You don't like the expansion - fine, you can't please everyone - and no game ever will. But most of what you said isn't accurate, at all. And I will gladly prove you otherwise.
