You know its really pretty pathetic to attack someone based on their spelling, and at the same time kind of prejudiced as well. English isn't everyone in the worlds first language, and its pretty arrogant to apply that standard. Provide a rebuttal based on the content of a persons post and try and leave the spelling police out of it.
I haven't played EVE in a while, but since when has Goonfleet stood for anything other than asshatism? They were the joke of EVE when I left and, if you had them in your resume, you could be sure mentioning that would keep you out of just about any other corp.

Last time i was on eve (only 2 months ago) The Goons had 4000 members, i doubt all of them are trying to sabatoge the company that runs their favorite game.
Im not sure if ccp is cheating or not, but it doesnt seem like they are trying there best to find out, i think they should have a 3rd party do internal investigations, rather then people who work at the company and play the game. Just seems like it would give them more credibility.

I'll have to side with CCP on this one. They've provided pretty convincing evidence that the GM had a valid reason for briefly joining the Goonies to deal with a petition. And the ISD firing amounts to little more than he said-he said.
There doesn't appear to be anything here other than suspicions of dev misbehavior without any real evidence to support them. There may be reasons to have suspicions but so far I haven't seen anything solid to back them up and it appears that at least some of the allegations have been proven to be unfounded.

if you went to a restaurant and found a dead rat in your plate instead of a steak, and the owner/manager told you "tough crap, eat it or gtfo", would you never mention it to anyone in your lifetime?
if so, i'll open a restaurant JUST for you and you can give me all your loots for life!

WTF? What has that got to do with the fact that some people here, spend a lot of their time following the on-goings of EVE even though they hate it?!
If the event you mentioned happened to me, of course I'd warn people. But, I wouldn't go out my way to watch what they do everyday. What some people are doing here, (with your example) would be like sitting outside that restaurant everyday screaming to random people on the street with "OMFG DO NOT GO THIS RESTAURANT THEY MADE ME CRY!!!1".
You know how many times McDonalds has had something like that happen? I know of 2 incidents here, one where a guy spunked on a burger and served it to someone (happened in Devon). It was all over the papers... but did that person sit outside McDonalds telling everyone what happened, and tell everyone not to go there?! No. Of course he didn't, because people would tell him to STFU. He told his story and moved on.
There's been plenty more issues with restaurants, spitting being the most popular. Yet the only thing that happens is the guy who did it gets fired, and people will still go to those restaurants. Why? Because very few people care, those that do simply do not go to that restaurant, and that's what some people here need to do. If you don't play EVE, and you don't like EVE, then do yourself, and everyone else a favour and leave.
A lot of you people here that no longer play EVE seem to think that they're making a difference, that your little voice matters. Well, I'm telling you it doesn't. Your voice is annoying, repetitive, and very, very boring. If you want to report something that's happened... that's fine. But there are some here that just post lies, and nothing more, and with no other intent but to discredit a company with only rumours.
Granted, there are those here that post good honest information, that they believe is something worth telling people about, and those people I have no problems with. But it's seeing lies, and complete bullshit such as "I feel sorry for people that play EVE" posted by people who were fairly wronged in the game, that annoys me.

eve online is... online, right? the interweb thingie, that everyone some people have INCREDIBLY easy access to, right? i'm thinking that it's not that hard to do something online that takes a few seconds/minutes. drama queen much?

Either respond to me properly, with an actual argument other than name calling, then I might take you seriously.
For your childish "proof", I'll point to Blackcat35's posts. Read them. From the very beginning he claims to have been wronged by CCP through a "bug", when clearly that was a lie... in all truth he was merely scammed by someone, not even a clever way. It was his own stupidity that made him lose most of his money. Now, he posts anything, and I mean anything (whether it's true or not) just to put down CCP (he even admits that in some of his posts)... and in case you can't tell, those are the type of people I'm talking about that can't move on from a game.
Do you not think that kind of action is sad? To come to an EVE community with no other intention but to lie to people, in a pathetic attempt to put people off this game?
I welcome all threads with negative claims against CCP, I like to read about them too, and I like to give my opinion about CCP's actions. But like I said, we could do without those other type of people who are only here for one reason.
yeah, do away with the drama queens and people who refuse to actually pay attention to facts.
added: did you actually read the stuff you replied to my post about? i replied to you in the same nonlogicial fashion in which you'd replied to my post, partially any. sorry, logically, you don't get to take offense at my not putting much credence into your over-dramatization for e-attention. you get what you give, you made needless overly dramatic posts about a decent comparison and that sort of invalidates your reply post. sorry, you lose teh interwebs.

Oh, another great reply... Drama Queen, "e-attention".... nothing at all to do with the actual argument. Take a look at your posts, notice how you haven't even responded to the original topic, then tell me who's saying this for "attention".
Either read the replies, and respond with relevance, or stfu until you post something other than name calling.
You originally replied to my post directed at someone else... again, nothing to do with you, but you decided to respond with an obscure comparison to... well nothing, as it had nothing to do with you.

Actually i don't play EvE anymore but the current news that floating around the net makes me laugh. I never saw a gaming company destroying them self like CCP does (at least they're reputation in the Gaming World). Btw i know CCP (played for 1 week in closed beta before i kicked the game box out of the window) actually from the start and they constantly lied about the actual Content they will release (you can call it false promises whatever). I don't trust someone who constantly lying to me (customer).
This is a response to CCP's DevBlog located at http://myeve.eve-online.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&bid=472 in which we will address CCP's responses, what they didn't say and also respond to the allegations that they make.
What fails to come through so far in this debacle is that goonswarm are deliberately astroturfing the internet and forums with fairly libellous statements about CCP, and present a public face that shows hurt denial.
The action in shutting down the forums is something that I personally support as it was a fairly ham-handed attempt at spamming wildly to reduce the functionality of same for the rest of the player base. Their complaints about dev involvement are so much hot air, and quite frankly the rest of the playerbase are getting tired of the whining and attacks.
Their general orders state that they are willing to attack CCP to get the game moved to another company, and have acted with nothing other than outright malice, both to 'ordinary' players, people joining the game, and even potential recruits to their corporation. They are _proud_ of their griefing behaviour, and represent the worst aspects of MMORPG players in terms of trying to destroy the experience.
Quite frankly, I don't give a flying f*** at a rolling doughnut for BoB, D2 or the countless alliances that seem to think that everything should pander to their lives, and dearly hope that Goonswarm is forcefully disbanded in the wake of this. They are trying to use their numbers to force a game corporation to capitulate to the desires of a few, and this should be a wake up call to online gaming companies to _not suffer_ this kind of outright manipulation of public opinion.
Goonswarm started with some of the best intentions, but has descended into the worst kind of joke...people who claim to love the game, but are dedicated to destroying it.
CCP have the final word regarding the game, and rules breaches. If Goonswarm are unwilling to accept it, then they should go destroy another game and leave this one to the people that actually want to play within the confines of the rules set down by the owners and operators.
Why is it when ever anyone is trying to fight for the right thing or make EVE a better game they are told to shut up or just quit? People invest alot of money and time into MMO games wich we mainly play because they are communtiy based. EVE is our game the gamers, their would be no money hence no games without us. Its our duty to speak up when things arent going right. Other gamers have a right to know whats going on in a game before they make a choice to buy and play it.
Eve Can be a great game if the Devs and Gms get out of player corps and alliances. In my opinion they cant represent us all fairly if they are commanders and members of player corps. Muleck please read my post in the Solution thread and let me know what you think. I made some strong statements and their hasnt been any disscusion about it.
Let the goons say what they have to say. Good bad or indifferent their is a big problem in EVE and it has to be addressed.

You're missing the point. Goons are not legitimately complaining about anything, they are using past events which actually effected very few people to state, with no evidence, that CCP is corrupt. They used an event of a dev being called in to check a build project in a POS as a stalking horse to make those claims.
They claim to love the game, but slashdotted and Digg'd their thread on the forums, actually calling it a 'Threadnaught'. That's a fairly cynical action, and their forum spamming is legendary.
So far, what you have is fairly baseless accusations from an alliance that came from somethingawful.com with a record of being disruptive; when the accusations are addressed they claim coverup. There is no end to that particular tactic. Personally I'd support wideranging use of the ban stick, and I think CCP have been far too lenient in applying it.
There are two completely different issues being addressed, neither of which actually affect the wider player base. So BoB has devs; before BoB they were in a different alliance, they move around. Does that effect my gameplay? No, because I'm not in BoB, or LV, or any of the other whinging girls who believe that making the loudest noise gets them what they want. The game itself is _the game_, not the mud you sling around about the company that operates the game.
It's the overarching sense of entitlement that the alliances tend to spooge across the internet, as if they'd be something without the game itself, and it's been quite viciously aimed at CCP themselves.
Ultimately it comes down to accepting, with a certain amount of grace, whatever the owners want to do. My beefs with CCP involve adding features and content that have more to do with White Wolf than making Eve better.
Incidentally, there aren't any GMs in player alliances.

Weeelll, BOB havent always been around you know, it stands to reason that these "Dev" characters have been in several different groups like many long standing EVE players.
I like the fact you are willing to believe that there are Devs in BoB but not in any other group past or present.
It has been stated repeatedly that there are CCP employees including Devs in several corps and alliances including 0.0 alliances.
Even Goonswarm members personally know CCP employees including Devs (fanfest anyone?) I think the informal relationship and accessability that has been one of CCPs main strengths i.e talking to and listening to the playerbase has now come back to haunt them as a minority of the playerbase are now trying to destroy CCPs business.
Do I love CCP? not really, do I love BoB? certainly not, but people seem to have lost sight of the facts.
Shit happened, it was handled, possibly mishandled and life goes on.
Since then its all been hot air mainly coming from Goons tbh. I think they have a cheek accusing people of photoshopping stuff and faking log files when they come from Something awful a site notorious for just such shennigans.

added: did you actually read the stuff you replied to my post about? i replied to you in the same nonlogicial fashion in which you'd replied to my post, partially any. sorry, logically, you don't get to take offense at my not putting much credence into your over-dramatization for e-attention. you get what you give, you made needless overly dramatic posts about a decent comparison and that sort of invalidates your reply post. sorry, you lose teh interwebs.
could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?
Wow so much Drama, i start to like EVE online and the Goonswarm.
nothing wrong with goonies.

Hugs,
Muleck
Incidentally, there aren't any GMs in player alliances.

what alliance were the devs in before bob? where all have they moved around to/from? why would this be common knowledge to anyone? no gms in player alliances, but devs are?
proof or stfu.
